By blending traditional craftsmanship with innovative design, Teyo is positioning itself as a leader in luxury interior solutions.
New Miami Showroom
Teyo’s new 6,554-square-foot showroom is located in the heart of Miami’s Design District, a global destination for art, fashion, and design. The showroom serves as an exclusive platform to display Teyo’s furniture and raw natural materials, offering clients a tactile experience to explore the brand’s wide array of products. In addition to functioning as a design studio and sales office, the space will feature a lounge area where clients can engage with Teyo’s design team to create custom projects. The showroom is intended to be a hub for collaboration, where professionals and homeowners can come together to plan high-end architectural and interior projects.
Founders & Vision
Teyo was founded by Matthew Auerbach and Artur Sharf, two industry veterans with over 35 years of combined experience in architecture and interior design. Auerbach, known for his work with renowned architects like Jean Nouvel and Zaha Hadid, brings extensive knowledge of high-end architectural projects. Sharf, co-founder of the award-winning international design studio YODEZEEN, adds his expertise in creative direction and contemporary aesthetics. Their collaboration was driven by a shared passion for elevating the beauty of natural stone and translating it into functional, innovative designs.
The founders believe that natural stone’s beauty lies in its ability to enhance spaces while maintaining its organic form. By merging ancient materials with modern design techniques, Teyo aims to create products that feel timeless yet forward-thinking, offering architects and designers a new benchmark for luxury materials in the industry.
Collection Highlights
Teyo’s collection features an array of signature pieces designed for both interior and exterior spaces. The collection includes custom-made kitchens, vanities, bathtubs, bookshelves, dining and coffee tables, and outdoor fireplaces, each crafted from the finest natural materials.
Notable pieces in the collection include the Luminosa and Brisa kitchens, which blend marble with brass and glass for a sleek, modern look. The Jardin and Alba vanities, known for their minimalist yet luxurious design, are crafted from rare marble, combining elegance with practicality. In addition to the collection, Teyo offers bespoke solutions for large-scale projects through its in-house contract division, where clients can request custom items tailored to their specific needs.
Each piece is handcrafted and customized, ensuring that no two products are the same. The use of noble materials such as marble, wood, brass, and glass allows Teyo to create unique designs that stand out in the world of luxury interiors. Every item is built with meticulous attention to detail, overseen by experienced project managers who ensure the highest level of craftsmanship.
Italian Craftsmanship
Central to Teyo’s identity is its dedication to traditional Italian craftsmanship. The brand sources its natural stone from the renowned quarries of Carrara, Italy, a region famous for producing some of the world’s finest white marble. Carrara has a rich history of marble extraction, with artisans in the area known for their skill in working with this ancient material.
Teyo collaborates with local Tuscan artisans and workshops that uphold the centuries-old traditions of marble carving and stonework. By maintaining close relationships with these artisans, Teyo ensures that each product reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship and artistry. The brand also partners with museums and galleries that display marble-carved works, further solidifying its connection to Italy’s rich artistic heritage.
Teyo offers a wide variety of textures and color schemes for its stone products, ranging from the warm tones of Travertine and the dramatic veining of Arabescato Orobico to the deep hues of Rosso Levanto. These variations allow clients to select materials that align with their specific design visions, whether they are seeking a bold statement piece or a subtle accent for their interiors.
A Forward-Thinking Approach
Teyo’s forward-thinking approach to design is rooted in its commitment to combining timeless materials with contemporary design philosophies. By integrating millennia-old natural stones into cutting-edge architectural and interior projects, Teyo bridges the gap between tradition and modernity.
Creative Director Artur Sharf emphasizes Teyo’s dedication to discovering rare, irreplaceable materials and transforming them into innovative designs. “With our new showroom opening in Miami in Autumn 2024, we look forward to infusing Italian raw materials used for millennia into projects of the utmost contemporary and future-forward designs,” Sharf says.
The brand’s mission is to become a new point of reference for the global design community, offering a product range that not only stands out for its aesthetic value but also for its quality and craftsmanship. Teyo’s collaboration with YODEZEEN for its first collection reflects the brand’s ambition to push the boundaries of design while staying true to its core values of creativity, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
With a focus on personalized service and custom-tailored designs, Teyo is set to make a significant impact on the luxury design market, offering clients the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most exclusive and rare materials.
