International Coffee Day: Celebrating the Global Love for Coffee in Miami



Every year on October 1st, coffee lovers worldwide come together to celebrate International Coffee Day. This day is more than just a caffeine fix; it's a global celebration of the rich history, culture, and impact of coffee. It also seeks to honor the farmers, traders, roasters, and baristas who play a vital role in bringing this beloved beverage to our cups.


The journey of coffee, as we know it today, is steeped in legends and tales. According to an Ethiopian legend, the discovery of coffee can be attributed to a curious goat herder in the Ethiopian highlands. This herder noticed something peculiar about his goats: they became remarkably energetic after munching on the red berries found in the region. Investigating further, he discovered the black beans within these berries, which we now know as coffee beans.


This discovery marked the beginning of coffee's journey to becoming a global phenomenon. Today, coffee is the second most sought-after commodity globally, trailing only behind crude oil in terms of demand and importance.
