Hattie Banks Fine Jewelry was founded by Harriet “Hattie” Gilpin during the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida in 2018. An equestrian, Gilpin grew up riding horses and swimming competitively. Born in California and raised in South Carolina, Hattie grew up surrounded by nature, which is reflected in her designs. Gilpin is a graduate of the renowned Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and she is based in New York City. Her fine jewelry is handmade in Manhattan, using sustainable and ethically sourced metals and gemstones. Craftsmanship is of the utmost importance, Gilpin has used the same production team since launching the brand in 2018, and she visits the studio daily to ensure the finest quality is delivered.
