The Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation hosted its annual Red Gala at the Pier Sixty-Six Resort & Marina , bringing together healthcare advocates, community leaders, and longtime supporters for an evening focused on advancing pediatric heart care. The event generated more than $3 million for the hospital’s specialized programs, with additional contributions continuing to come in from attendees inspired by the hospital’s mission. The funds will help strengthen critical services at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Heart Institute, including treatment for congenital heart disease, heart failure, and pediatric heart transplantation. Support will also benefit other service lines that provide comprehensive care for children and families across South Florida. The evening was led by Gala Chair Rita Case, President and CEO of Rick Case Automotive Group, alongside Kelley Morris, President of Memorial Foundation and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation. Their leadership helped propel the event beyond its fundraising goals. The sold-out gala featured a performance by Counting Crows, along with live and silent auctions that drew enthusiastic participation from guests. • Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation Awarded $15,000 Grant to Expand Sensory Support for Children with Special Needs

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH) Foundation has received a $15,000 grant from The Toy Foundation’s Play Fund to expand access to sensory-friendly environments for children with special needs. The funding supports a new initiative called C.A.T.C.H. (Creating a Therapeutic and Calming Hospitalization), which aims to reduce anxiety and improve emotional well-being for patients with autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental challenges, and behavioral health conditions. The grant has funded a dedicated sensory room in the hospital’s Child Life Zone along with a mobile multi-sensory cart that staff can use throughout the hospital. Both are equipped with tools that engage sight, sound, and touch, allowing clinicians to create calming, customized environments for patients experiencing stress or overstimulation. The initiative also strengthens staff training around working with children who require specialized sensory support. According to Kelley Morris, president of the JDCH Foundation, the project reinforces the hospital’s commitment to patient- and family-centered care by providing a safe and soothing environment for children who need it most. The program is expected to serve at least 300 patients each year and benefit more than 1,500 children over the lifespan of the equipment. JDCH anticipates measurable improvements in patient well-being, including reduced anxiety and increased engagement, along with enhanced staff documentation and protocol development for special needs care. The grant is part of a larger national effort. Earlier this year, The Toy Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Toy Association, announced $405,000 in Play Fund grants to 23 hospitals and health systems across the U.S., supporting projects that bring therapeutic play to an estimated 245,000 children, particularly in under-resourced communities. As a full-service quaternary care hospital with 228 beds and extensive outpatient services, JDCH continues to integrate inclusive and supportive environments into its approach to pediatric care. • Miele to Debut at Miami Art Week with “The Kitchen Muse”

Miele , the world’s leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, announces “The Kitchen Muse,” a bold pop-up that reimagines the modern kitchen as an artistic, interactive installation set against the vibrant backdrop of Wynwood Walls at Miami Art Week. Open to the public December 2 - 3, 2025, the sculptural kitchen layout highlights the deeply studied approach and expressive design of ELLE DECOR A-List architect and interior designer, Luis Fernandez, and showcases Miele’s leading appliances across coffee, refrigeration and induction cooking as the muse. The centerpiece of the kitchen is a custom art piece by internationally recognized artist Mikael B., who utilizes a Miele 36” MasterCool refrigerator  as both the inspiration and the canvas, symbolizing the thought that beauty, creativity, and innovation can be found in our every day. In partnership with ELLE DECOR and Wynwood Walls, The Kitchen Muse pop-up will be positioned at the heart of the Wynwood Walls Museum, the largest outdoor street art museum in the world, and an international destination for art lovers. The activation builds on Miele’s brand expansion in the North American market, particularly in the kitchen. “Our customers are forward-thinking, design-oriented individuals who are looking for what’s next in kitchen design, alongside products that will last a lifetime,” said Catherine Grayson-Roper, VP of Marketing, Miele US and Mexico. “‘The Kitchen Muse’ and our partnership with leaders in interior design and art are intended to spark a conversation and put Miele at the center of a cultural moment.” The kitchen design itself reflects harmony in nature. It is a dynamic yet playful sculptural element within the surrounding art park. Representing a beacon of light and reflection, the mirrored stainless steel and textured glass are set in striking juxtaposition with natural Verdi Alpi Green Stone, which both divides and unites the two sculptural forms, making them a functional kitchen. “For me, Miele represents precision and innovation with an effortless beauty, ease and presence. That perfectly harmonious mix is what I wanted to capture. The appliances don’t want to be hidden, but fully displayed, and in a certain way, framed,” said Fernandez. Rooted in Mikael B.’s abstract art style, the art installation unfolds through layers of acrylic and spray paint applied intuitively, building unexpected depth, motion, and texture. “The refrigerator becomes a fully customized centerpiece where precision engineering meets expressive abstraction,” Mikael said. “A palette of greens, deep blues, warm neutrals, earth tones, and touches of gold create harmony and sophistication while ensuring the piece stands out as a bold, showstopping focal point.” The Kitchen Muse will be open from 11:30am - 6:30pm on December 2 and 10:00am - 1:30pm on December 3. A curated schedule of programming will be offered throughout the pop-up, including live culinary demonstrations on Miele’s state-of-the-art 36” Induction Cooktop , and made-to-order espresso and coffee drinks from Miele Built-In Coffee Machines . On Dec. 2, an on-site illustrator will create personalized paintings for guests to take home from the experience, and the day will conclude with a custom mocktail happy hour. The Kitchen Muse will be featured on ELLEDecor.com  and in the March 2026 issue of ELLE DECOR magazine. For more information, please visit MieleUSA.com . By ML staff. Images courtesy of Miele.

  • Poliform’s Saint-Germain Sofa System by Jean-Marie Massaud: A Sensual Expression of Comfort and Design

For more than half a century, Poliform has stood as one of the leading Italian luxury furniture design companies, celebrated for its craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless aesthetic. In this issue, we spotlight one of Poliform’s most evocative creations: the Saint-Germain sofa system by Jean-Marie Massaud. Inspired by the soft, sculptural forms of 1970s design, Saint-Germain captures a sensual harmony between comfort and art. Its enveloping curves and voluptuous proportions transform any room into a warm and familiar landscape—an invitation to slow down, sink in, and experience design through feeling as much as sight. Massaud’s vision for the collection lies in its balance between elegance and intimacy. Soft, fluid lines recur throughout the series, which offers a range of modular compositions—from linear sofas to L-shaped and organically curved configurations. This versatility allows the Saint-Germain system to adapt effortlessly to any interior, whether it’s a contemporary penthouse overlooking Biscayne Bay or a tranquil seaside retreat. The magic of Saint-Germain lies not only in its form but also in its finish. The upholstery—crafted in haute couture bouclé fabrics or refined leather—enhances the sofa’s fullness and tactile richness. Each texture tells its own story, playing with light and depth to emphasize the generous contours of the design. The result is a piece that’s both timeless and modern, sensual and structured—a perfect embodiment of Poliform’s philosophy that beauty and comfort are inseparable. Every element of the Saint-Germain collection feels intentional. The curved modules speak of movement; the soft padding, of serenity. Together, they form a sofa system that serves as the main character of an orchestrated contemporary living space. Hermès’ Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection, presented during Paris Fashion Week, reinterprets the house’s equestrian heritage through a lens of understated luxury and modern utility. The result is a collection that balances rugged strength with refined craftsmanship. Earthy tones of sand, olive, rust, and black dominate the palette, punctuated by vivid flashes of red. Signature Hermès elements—leather, saddlebags, and quilted silk—are seamlessly woven into contemporary silhouettes that honor the brand’s artisanal legacy. • Henge Debuts Immersive Collectors Lounge at Design Miami 2025

At the heart of Design Miami, Henge unveils its first-ever Collectors Lounge, a sanctuary of thoughtful elegance crafted for the world of design lovers. Set against the creative pulse of the city, the lounge stands as a refined extension of the brand’s growing presence in Miami, following the opening of its Design District showroom in 2024. Henge Collectors Lounge, Design Miami 2025 The lounge, imagined by designer Ugo Cacciatori, embraces guests in a space where Italian craftsmanship meets contemporary attitude. It is a setting where textures speak, geometries guide the eye, and every material tells a story. Visitors step into a seamless experience—part exhibition, part retreat—where architectural precision warms into tactile intimacy. Inside, modular seating forms inviting islands for conversation. Cast metal surfaces balance against soft fabrics, while a central sculptural table encourages shared moments yet still protects a sense of personal pause. Vertical walls surfaced in pale gold metal absorb and release light, shimmering like a shifting horizon as pendant lamps choreograph the space with theatrical rhythm. A monumental violet quartzite bar commands attention—backlit so its dramatic veins seem almost alive—declaring Henge’s devotion to materiality. Precious details complete the narrative: Murano glass illuminations ripple across the main wall like fragments of frozen light, deep tones meet mineral accents, and every corner becomes a curated vignette. “We are proud to present the Henge Collectors Lounge at Design Miami, a project that embodies our vision of contemporary luxury,” says Paolo Tormena, Founder of Henge. “Through exceptional materials, artisanal craftsmanship and atmosphere, we wanted to create a space that feels both intimate and powerful. This debut marks an important step in our relationship with Miami, a city that shares our passion for design and innovation.” The lounge not only marks Henge’s debut within the fair but reinforces its expanding influence in Miami. The new showroom in the Design District reflects the brand’s mission to present its universe—an evolving, material-led world built on craftsmanship and innovation. Design Miami, celebrating its 20th anniversary and 21st edition, returns under the curation of Glenn Adamson with the thematic lens Make. Believe. —a tribute to design past, present, and future.
