Miami Art Week 2025 brings a broad mix of exhibitions, installations, and cultural programming to the Miami Design District, with projects spanning contemporary art, design, fashion, and large-scale public works.
The Open Invitational

The Open Invitational returns with its second Miami edition, highlighting work from progressive art studios representing artists with mental and physical disabilities. Founded by gallerist David Fierman and arts patron Ross McCalla, the fair brings together more than 15 studios from across the United States.

The Prelude Curated by Rashid Johnson

Artist Rashid Johnson curates The Prelude, an exhibition centered around his Untitled #9 (Surrender Painting) and works from the Berkowitz Contemporary Foundation. Sculptures and paintings by Henry Moore, Alberto Giacometti, John McCracken, and Cy Twombly form a dialogue on material presence and spatial tension. Natural elements integrated into the gallery foreshadow the works’ future placement at Longleaf Art Park.

Jeffrey Deitch: That Was Then, This Is Now

Blu Scarpa: Dream Courts

Italian brand Blu Scarpa debuts Dream Courts, a boutique-wide installation developed with artist François Piacente and Miami muralist Asaad Morales. The activation blends sculptural works and tennis-inspired motifs, accompanied by a limited-edition art shoe, La Tennis.

LVMH The Studio Miami

LVMH introduces The Studio Miami—formerly the LVMH Culture House—for a five-day program of artist showcases and discussions featuring cultural leaders, innovators, and creators. The pop-up continues the company’s annual initiative to highlight emerging and established artistic voices.

2025 Miami Design District Annual Design Commission: Gargantua’s Thumb by Katie Stout

Artist Katie Stout leads the 10th edition of the Miami Design District Design Commission with Gargantua’s Thumb. The installation introduces a series of sculptural animal forms and an interactive carousel, with hundreds of suspended orbs dispersed throughout the neighborhood.

The Craig Robins Collection: Walking on Air

The Craig Robins Collection unveils Walking on Air, a 2025–2026 rehang centered on the work of Richard Tuttle. Works from David Hammons, John Baldessari, Marcel Duchamp, and several contemporary artists are arranged to explore gravity, materiality, and conceptual experimentation.

Cartier: Panthère Into the Wild

Cartier’s New Regional Flagship

Cartier also debuts its expanded flagship in the district. Designed by architect Liz Diller with interiors by Laura Gonzalez, the space integrates fluted glass façades, botanical references, and a rooftop terrace, featuring the brand’s full collections of jewelry, watches, and accessories.

Urs Fischer: Purple Drywall with Chicken Rotation

Urs Fischer expands his exploration of absurdity and impermanence with Chicken Rotation and Purple Drywall, an installation merging everyday construction imagery with the wandering path of a lone chicken. The work builds on Fischer’s history of using perishable materials and playful disruption, here presented as a permanent addition to the neighborhood.
