From January 8–11, the South Beach Jazz Festival fills Miami Beach with world-class music—much of it free to the public. Each RSVP-with-donation helps sustain the festival’s mission of accessibility, artist support, and inclusive programming for all. Grab a lawn chair or blanket and get ready to enjoy four days of unforgettable performances in iconic outdoor settings.

Society Jazz Night with Steven Bernstein’s Millennial Territory Orchestra featuring vocalist Carla Cook


  • Friday, January 9 | 8:00–9:30 PM

  • The Bass Museum – Collins Park


Grammy-nominated trumpeter, arranger, and composer Steven Bernstein brings his nine-piece Millennial Territory Orchestra to Miami Beach for a high-energy fusion of swing, funk, gospel, and New Orleans–inspired grooves.

  • VIP Experience: $75 - Includes 7 PM reception with light bites and refreshments, plus reserved premium seating.

Directed by Nicole Yarling, this all-day showcase highlights Miami’s rising jazz talent with performances from standout student ensembles.

Gafieira Rio Miami featuring Nestor Torres

Brazilian big band Gafieira Rio Miami joins Grammy Award–winning flutist Nestor Torres for a vibrant blend of samba, bossa nova, choro, and jazz to close the festival in grand style.

A festival favorite, The Spirit of Goodwill Band delivers uplifting performances featuring talented musicians with disabilities, embodying the festival’s mission of inclusion through music.
