Born and raised in a small suburb between Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., Eneia grew up in one of the most diverse cities in America, grooming her early appreciation for learning through cultural diversity. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Washington, Eneia has mastered the technical side of the design process, bridging the gap between innovative ideas and the expertise required to successfully bring them to life. Katie’s favorite job, however, is being a mother to her son and a wife to her business partner. Ruben Gutierrez is a firm believer that good design can make the everyday task ceremonial. It helps you connect to your past, aspire for your future, make your day-to-day better, and soothe you when you’re feeling down. Ever since I could remember, I’ve liked to build things. From building Legos at a young age to building my business now, I always knew it was where I belonged. Naturally, my interest in the field began with architecture. I graduated from Florida International University with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the subject. While I was studying, I was a full-time worker at local architecture firms. I always drew my inspiration for architectural design from art and experiences, and to this day, this stands true. I love places that conjure up a feeling of nostalgia but at the same time, reflect a freshness and newness unseen anywhere else. Cities with high-density urban areas, like New York City, have this quality. I began to fully understand (and appreciate) the elements of interior design while I was in the workforce—and little did I know that I’d come to love it. I meshed both architecture and interior design with Alison Spear, an architect known to frequently cross over into interiors. Under Alison, I received some of the best training in the luxury market, and here, I was able to mix architecture, art and design in new forms. The next logical step was to build a business. I knew that with Katie’s experiences, my experiences, and the right methodology, we can create a new way to communicate interior design with a fresh and nostalgic approach—something different and new to in the industry. We want to alter the way people. Honey Collins Interiors Honey Collins' design philosophy is centered around the idea that rooms should have touches of old and new, emphasized with bold colors and natural textures. Always wanting spaces to feel warm and inviting, Honey finds inspiration from listening to her clients, connecting with their lifestyles and then deftly curating details to create beautiful rooms with wonderful personality and livability. Honey found her love for design at an early age. The daughter of noted Atlanta decorator Susan Wilcox, she spent much of her childhood hiding in fabric samples as she followed her mother around the design center and her mother’s curated antique store. These early memories form the foundation of her belief that your home should be a reflection of all the things you love. Now based in Boston, MA, Honey's work takes her across the U.S. and can be seen in numerous publications. Katherine Shenaman Interiors Originally from the West coast, Katherine Shenaman has lived in south Florida for the better part of 20 years. She first studied psychology and art at Palm Beach Atlantic University but transitioned into the interior design industry shortly after graduation. She began by working for a design boutique in Nantucket and then later for a prominent architect in Palm Beach. Katherine has had her own design company since 2005, which she launched in New York; she and her team offer full-service design for decoration and renovation projects alike. She earned her MA at the University of Buckingham and Wallace Collection in London, focusing on British and French Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors. With each project, Katherine seeks to combine her unique historical perspective on homes and the practice of ‘living well’ with the every-day lives of her clients. Each project for her begins with a focus on the foundation of the home, as the centerpiece of living well and living authentically. Katherine is passionate about learning, whether it be about design, history, the philosophies of ‘home’ or more. She has donated her time and resources to many charities over the years, and she is now excited to join the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in support of children’s education and development. Please join in and support us! Katie Ridder Inc. As Architectural Digest observed, interior designer Katie Ridder’s interiors are "a richly layered extravaganza of exotic patterns and bright hues, peppered with venerable antiques.” A member of Elle Décor's A-List, she has appeared on the House Beautiful and New York magazine's "Top 100" designer lists. Clients from Switzerland to Kentucky have commissioned her to design the interiors of spaces as varied as Japanese pavilions, Palm Beach estates, Park Avenue apartments, and downtown lofts. Her successful wallpaper and fabric lines are represented at Holland & Sherry showrooms throughout the country, as well as in Europe. Her work has been published in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Veranda, Town & Country, House & Garden, House Beautiful, The New York Times, and Wall Street Journal. Katie’s first book, Rooms, was published in 2011. A House in the Country, co-authored with her husband, architect Peter Pennoyer, features the couple’s house and garden in Millbrook, New York. Katie’s latest book, More Rooms, was published in September 2020. Katie is a member of the Friends of Horticulture at Wave Hill, and she serves on the board of the Garden Conservancy. Stephen Mooney Interiors Designer Stephen Mooney’s unique point of view is eclectic yet firmly rooted in the basic tenets of quality, comfort and timeless elegance. Credit his background: the Northern California childhood; the solid foundation of a Rhode Island School of Design education; and wanderlust-fueled travel to the four corners of the world. Although keenly aware of avant-garde trends in décor and of revolutionary developments in materials and applications, Stephen remains committed to creating interiors that transcend fashion for the more everlasting style. “Classic Interiors, whether Contemporary or Traditional, when done well, can stand the test of time,” he explains. “My designs involve intelligent use of color, the integrity of exquisite materials, craftsmanship and scale, and the delight of the unexpected. The goal is to provide my clients with environments that reflect their own personalities.” Stephen Mooney’s design studios and showroom are just steps off fabled Worth Avenue, in charming Via Parigi. Here, within earshot of the trickling fountain and lush bougainvillea, a closely knit design team creates and manages projects that range widely in scale and scope – from modest pieds-a-terre to grand manor residences – from around the corner to across the country. Studio Thomas James No two spaces designed by Studio Thomas James are ever alike; each home by the Dallas-based firm is individual to the respective homeowner and reflects their specific ideals and lifestyle. With principal and founder Philip Thomas Vanderford at the helm, the studio has built a portfolio of projects rich in expression, seemingly understated but that are highly detailed with their own unique emotional intelligence; classic yet innovative, playful yet refined. From a project’s inception to the final installation, their team works hand-in-hand with each client to flawlessly execute interiors that evoke emotion with rich color, pattern, scale, and texture. The studio has completed homes worldwide, including in Paris, Aspen, California, Wyoming, the British West Indies, and Shanghai. Vanderford utilizes his architectural expertise and artistic vision to give a room’s form and function mutual consideration. His passion for the aesthetic form was cultivated early, having a grandfather who, as a master craftsman, machinist, and woodworker, taught Philip his unique skill set —even insisting that he learn to weld. Thanks to this intimate experience, Philip knew the inner workings of construction before he attended the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas. Studio Thomas James’ work has been featured across the covers of multiple notable Shelter Publications, as well as across Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Veranda, Modern Luxury publications, Patron, Southern Living, Business of Home, PaperCity, D Home, and more. The studio was also a featured designer in the inaugural Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas in 2020, won HGTV’s Designer of the Year Award in 2021, and has been in D Home’s Best Designers for multiple years running. • Gucci Presents Fall-Winter 2023 Men's Collection

Improvisation is an act of collaboration. When the free impulses of individual minds interweave, collective expressions are conceived. The Gucci Fall Winter 2023 Men’s Collection employs the circumstance of improvisation as a methodology: a constructive tool for creation. As a practice exercised in theatre and music, improvisation is founded in the know-how of its practitioners. When prompted to freestyle, performers access and activate the intuition of their craft. Embracing the curiosity and candour carried by improvised ideas, the collection is a natural reflection of the individualities represented by the multi-faceted creatives and craftsmen who inhabit the house of Gucci; who draw on diverse knowledge, skill and imagination in the creation of a bigger picture: The aesthetics of improvisation. The premise is adapted in a live performance by Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog. Through a customised soundtrack that develops as the show progresses, the noise rock trio emulates the energies of the collection, building on elements from genres like jazz and punk inherent to musical improvisation. The group appears on a spherical stage around which the show takes place: a circular formation symbolic of the collaborative spinning wheel of the creative community at the heart of Gucci. It constructs a framework for a collection focused on the archetypes of the classic gentleman’s wardrobe, redefined through artisanal luxury amplification and the subversive lens of improvisation. Activated by the diverse expressions of the characters who carry them, the garments speak to different understandings of the seduction instinctive to the masculinities of Gucci. Crystal GG, a new lacquered interpretation of the house’s coated monogram canvas from the 1970s, emblemises the collection as a tool for visual freestyling. Dipped in the vibrant colors and faded pastels that span the show, the cloth – named for its sheen – is applied to workwear coveralls and appears in bags and shoes oversized and relaxed in construction for a tactile, aged sensibility that imbues them with soul. Throughout the collection, the idea of how the individual chooses to wear a garment or accessory – the gestures, erosion and personality with which it is injected – takes centre stage. The notion is adorned with jewellery that conjures memories from the Gucci archives – the Piston Lock, the Horsebit, the Cross – and invoke a feeling of personal, sentimental relics. A voluminous but languid tailoring silhouette enables improvisation of styling, a sentiment echoed in suits with detachable elements that allow the wearer to transform them into sleeveless jackets and shorts. The free and boundless facets of contemporary masculinities are observed in garments cross-pollinated – either in construction or styling – from traditionally contrasting wardrobes: sportswear informed by Gucci’s 1980s archives evoke the codes of dance, while motorcycling garments pay tribute to archival pieces from the early 2000s or splice with the sculpting of archetypal overcoats. Inspired by the same era, denim trousers faded as if washed with fuel are adorned with the logo originally launched by Gucci in 1953 when the house opened its first store in New York. Customised pieces pay homage to improvised self-expression: vintage-like foulards are tied around bags and used to patch denim trousers; the revealed lining of deconstructed tracksuits become decorative details; and traditional evening trousers transform into statuesquely-draped floor-length skirts that reveal the legs in movement. The effects lean into constructions which are not what they seem. On closer inspection, a classic jogger is structured in lightweight leather, and a caban that appears as if covered in plume is fully embroidered with multi-dimensional white sequins, amplifying the craftsmanship at the core of Gucci. The collection features a magnified reinterpretation of the Jackie bag softened in construction and adorned with the Piston Lock originally created by Tom Ford for Gucci, in faded pastel crocodile editions. Select fabrications are echoed in the Dionysus, which materialises stripped of its original decorative construction, but still bears its emblematic double-edged tiger-headed horseshoe buckle and a new leather strap. Garment bags worn as shoulder bags are crafted in coloured coated canvases, while the Crystal GG canvas features in a new rectangular relaxed holdall proposed in the palette of the collection, and in a classic 1970s round-toed ankle boot. It appears alongside a heeled slipper, a Princetown slipper expanded in dimension with the signature green-red-green web, and a Horsebit loafer with a lived-in effect, reflecting the collection’s emphasis on personalisation. A soft, quilted motorcycle boot makes its debut in a multitude of colours. By ML Staff. Images Courtesy of Gucci
