- Modern Pet Wellness: How DNA Insights Can Support Better Cat Care
Cats have always been known for their independent personalities, but modern pet care has become much more proactive, moving beyond simply providing food, water, and regular veterinary visits. Today, many owners want to understand what makes their feline companions unique so they can make informed decisions about nutrition, exercise, and long-term health. Advances in pet genetics are making this possible, giving cat owners a new way to support their pets throughout every stage of life. Image by DepositPhotos Why Preventive Cat Care Matters More Than Ever Preventive care has become a major trend in pet wellness. Instead of waiting until a health issue appears, many owners now focus on building healthy routines that reduce risks before problems develop. Balanced nutrition, mental stimulation, routine veterinary examinations, and a safe home environment all contribute to a cat's quality of life. Genetic information adds another layer to this approach. While it cannot predict every future health condition, it can provide useful insights that help owners understand potential inherited traits and discuss them with their veterinarian. Combined with professional medical advice, genetics becomes another valuable source of information rather than a replacement for traditional care. Understanding What Your Cat's DNA Can Reveal Every cat has a unique genetic profile. Some genes influence physical characteristics, while others may be connected to inherited conditions or breed ancestry. Learning about these factors can help owners better understand why their cat behaves in certain ways or whether additional health monitoring may be appropriate. Using a cat dna test kit allows owners to explore genetic information through a simple at-home process. The results can become part of an ongoing conversation with a veterinarian, helping create a more personalized wellness plan that reflects each cat's individual needs. DNA insights should always be viewed as one piece of the overall picture. Lifestyle, nutrition, environment, and routine veterinary care continue to play essential roles in maintaining good health. Image by DepositPhotos Nutrition and Lifestyle Based on Individual Needs No single diet is perfect for every cat. Age, activity level, weight, and medical history all influence nutritional requirements. Genetic information may also contribute to a broader understanding of a cat's individual profile, helping owners ask better questions when discussing feeding plans with veterinary professionals. Lifestyle is equally important. Indoor cats often benefit from climbing structures, interactive toys, puzzle feeders, and scheduled play sessions that encourage movement. Outdoor access, where appropriate and safe, also requires careful planning to minimize potential risks. The goal is not to create complicated routines but to make thoughtful choices that support both physical and mental well-being over the long term. Technology Is Changing the Way We Care for Pets Pet technology has expanded rapidly in recent years. Automatic feeders, smart litter boxes, GPS trackers, activity monitors, and health apps now help owners stay connected with their pets even during busy schedules. Genetic testing fits naturally into this growing ecosystem of preventive wellness tools. Rather than reacting to health concerns after symptoms appear, many owners prefer collecting meaningful information early so they can make informed decisions together with veterinary professionals. This shift reflects a broader trend toward personalized care not only for people but also for the animals that share their homes. Image by DepositPhotos Building a Lifetime Wellness Plan for Your Cat Every stage of a cat's life presents different priorities. Kittens require proper growth and socialization, adult cats benefit from consistent preventive care, and senior cats often need closer health monitoring as their bodies change with age. A comprehensive wellness plan typically includes regular veterinary checkups, vaccinations when recommended, dental care, weight management, daily exercise, and mental enrichment. Genetic insights can complement these efforts by providing additional context that supports individualized discussions about long-term care. Ultimately, responsible pet ownership is about making informed decisions that improve quality of life. By combining traditional veterinary guidance with modern wellness tools, cat owners can feel more confident that they are supporting their companions with thoughtful, personalized, and lifelong health-focused care. - Louis Vuitton Reveals FIFA World Cup 2026 Trophy Trunk and Limited-Edition Collection
Louis Vuitton has been named an Official Supplier and Branded Licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026, introducing the official Trophy Trunk that will transport, protect and display football's most prestigious trophy throughout the tournament. The Trophy Trunk will make its first on-field appearance during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, when it will be carried onto the pitch by Louis Vuitton ambassadors alongside a FIFA legend. The ceremony continues a tradition that has been part of the tournament since 2010. The trunk was handcrafted by Louis Vuitton artisans at the brand's historic workshops in Asnières-sur-Seine, near Paris. It features the House's signature Monogram canvas with two hand-painted gold "V" motifs representing both "Victory" and "Vuitton." The exterior is finished with leather trim, gold-plated brass corner protectors, a lock and clasps inspired by Louis Vuitton trunks dating back to the 1860s. Inside, the Trophy Trunk is lined with light beige leather and includes a patch featuring the partnership logo between Louis Vuitton and FIFA. The announcement extends Louis Vuitton's longstanding relationship with FIFA. The luxury brand has designed Trophy Trunks for every FIFA World Cup since South Africa 2010, including tournaments in Brazil (2014), Russia (2018) and Qatar (2022). In addition to the official Trophy Trunk, Louis Vuitton has introduced a limited-edition collection as part of its role as an Official Branded Licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The collection includes three signature trunks inspired by the design of the official Trophy Trunk: the Coffret 8 Montres for storing up to eight watches, the Cotteville 16 Montres watch trunk, and the Malle Courrier Lozine 110 travel trunk. Each piece features the Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas, a hand-painted FIFA World Cup Trophy motif and the signature gold "V." Customers can also personalize the trunks with their initials. Louis Vuitton said the collection reflects the House's craftsmanship and heritage while extending its "Art of Travel" concept through the world of football. The partnership is part of Louis Vuitton's broader involvement in international sports. Since creating its first sporting trophy trunk for the America's Cup in 1983, the brand has collaborated with major global events including Formula 1, the NBA, Roland-Garros, the Rugby World Cup, the Ballon d'Or, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Australian Open, the Davis Cup and the League of Legends World Championship. - Breakwater Hospitality Group Unveils Sea Salt Beach House for West Palm Beach’s Currie Park
A new waterfront destination is coming into view at Currie Park. Breakwater Hospitality Group has been selected as the top-ranked proposer to design, build and operate Sea Salt Beach House as part of West Palm Beach’s $35 million redevelopment along the Intracoastal Waterway. The group will now enter contract negotiations with the city. Sea Salt Beach House is envisioned as an approximately 378-seat restaurant with indoor dining rooms, covered terraces and open-air seating overlooking the waterfront. Breakwater is working with Bigtime Design Studios on the concept, with spaces designed to connect the restaurant to the surrounding park. The plans extend beyond dining. A family play area, grab-and-go kiosk and year-round programming would bring additional activity to Currie Park. Fitness classes, pop-up markets, live entertainment and seasonal community events are among the activities planned for the waterfront. A 320-seat rooftop event space would provide a waterfront setting for weddings, community celebrations, civic functions and other special events. The project would expand Breakwater’s presence across South Florida. Founded in 2018 by Emi Guerra and Alex Mantecon, the Miami-based group operates Regatta Grove in Coconut Grove, JohnMartin’s in Coral Gables, The Wharf Fort Lauderdale and PIER 5 at Bayside. It is also the hospitality partner behind Riverside Wharf, a 200,000-square-foot mixed-use development along the Miami River. Sea Salt Beach House would extend that waterfront focus to West Palm Beach. By ML Staff. Photos/Breakwater Hospitality Group
- Inside C&D Printing and Packaging: Five Decades of Innovation and Excellence
For more than five decades, C&D Printing & Packaging has been helping businesses bring their brands to life through exceptional printing, custom packaging, and innovative manufacturing solutions. As one of Florida's largest independently owned folding carton and commercial printing manufacturers, the family-owned company has built a reputation for quality, innovation, and personalized service. In this interview with Miami Living Magazine, we explore the story behind C&D's enduring success, the evolution of the printing and packaging industry, and the vision that continues to guide the company into the future. Miami Living (ML): C&D Printing & Packaging has been family-owned and independently operated for more than 50 years. What do you believe has been the key to your longevity and continued growth in an industry that has evolved so dramatically over the decades? C&D: It really comes down to two things: relationships and equipment. From day one, C&D has treated every client relationship as a long-term partnership rather than a transaction. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, and that only happens when you consistently deliver on quality, on best-in-market lead times, and do what you say you will do. Concurrently, we have consistently reinvested in the business and made sure our equipment is state-of-the-art and up-to-date. We never want to be in a position to say no to our customers because of a missing capability. We want to make sure we provide the full-service experience. Industries change, technology changes, but the fundamentals don't: do exceptional work, stand behind it, and take care of the people who trust you with their brand. Being family-owned lets us make those decisions quickly and for the long term. ML: Packaging is often a consumer's very first interaction with a brand. How do you help your clients create packaging that not only protects a product but also leaves a memorable first impression? C&D: We always tell our clients: your package is your best salesperson. It's working for you on the shelf, on the doorstep, and in the unboxing moment, before a customer has ever touched your product. So we start every project by understanding the brand story and where the package will live, and then we bring the full toolbox to the table: structural design that protects and functions beautifully, precise color that stays true to the brand every single run, and finishes like foil stamping, embossing, coatings, and specialty substrates that create that tactile “wow” moment. That first impression is too important to leave to chance. How many times have you picked a product in store because of how good it looks? ML: From nutraceuticals and healthcare to food service and consumer packaged goods, C&D serves a remarkably diverse range of industries. How does your team adapt its approach to meet the unique needs and regulatory requirements of each sector? C&D: Every industry has its own language, and we've made it our business to speak all of them fluently. A nutraceutical brand needs tamper-evidence, precise regulatory copy, and a high degree of traceability. A food-service client needs food-safe materials and coatings. A beauty brand may care most about shelf impact and premium finishes. Our team has spent years building deep expertise across these verticals, and our certifications (GMI, G7 Master, FSC) give clients in regulated industries confidence that our processes are audited, consistent, and documented. Our clients get to focus on growing their brand while we handle the technical complexity behind it. ML: Technology continues to transform the printing and packaging industry. How have innovations such as advanced offset and digital printing enhanced what you're able to offer your clients today, and what emerging technologies are you most excited about for the future? C&D: Technology has dramatically expanded what's possible. Our advanced offset presses deliver exceptional color fidelity and efficiency at scale, while digital printing has opened the door for shorter runs, faster turnarounds, versioning, and cost-effective prototyping. That combination means an emerging brand can launch with the same print quality as a national CPG company, and an established brand can test new SKUs or regional variations without committing to huge volumes. Looking ahead, we're most excited about continued automation in prepress and finishing, data-driven personalization, and innovations in sustainable substrates and coatings. All of these items will continue to differentiate us, and make our customers’ products better. ML: C&D has earned certifications including G7 Master Color, GMI, FSC® certification, and Green certification standards. Why are these certifications important, and how do they reflect your commitment to quality, consistency, and responsible manufacturing? C&D: Certifications are how we turn promises into proof. G7 Master qualification means the color a brand approves is the color that shows up on press, run after run. Consistency is everything for brand owners. GMI certification means major retailers have audited our processes and trust us to print their packaging to exacting standards. FSC certification gives our clients a verified chain of custody for responsibly sourced paperboard, and our green manufacturing practices reflect a genuine commitment to reducing waste and environmental impact throughout our operation. But beyond the plaques on the wall, what these certifications really represent is discipline, documented processes, ongoing audits, and a culture of accountability. Our clients don't have to take our word for it, the standards speak for themselves. ML: As consumer expectations continue to evolve, sustainability has become an increasingly important consideration. How is C&D helping clients balance environmental responsibility with exceptional packaging design, performance, and brand presentation? C&D: The great news is that sustainability and beautiful packaging are no longer trade-offs. Folding cartons are inherently one of the most sustainable packaging formats: paperboard is renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable. We continue to build on that foundation with FSC-certified sourcing, recycled-content boards, vegetable-based inks, and recyclable coatings that can replace traditional laminations. We also help clients think structurally: smarter designs that use less material, ship more efficiently, and eliminate unnecessary components without sacrificing shelf presence. Consumers increasingly reward brands that make these choices, so sustainability has actually become a brand asset. Our job is to guide each client to the right balance of environmental responsibility, performance, and presentation for their product and their customer, and today, they really can have all three. ML: One of C&D's strengths is providing everything from concept and design through production under one roof. What advantages does this integrated manufacturing approach offer your clients compared with working with multiple vendors? C&D: Speed, accountability, and consistency. When design, prepress, printing, finishing, and fulfillment all happen under one roof, projects move faster because there are no handoffs between vendors, no shipping delays between facilities, and no finger-pointing when something needs adjusting. Our clients have one point of contact and one team that owns the result from concept to delivered carton. Quality control is seamless because the same color standards and specifications follow the job through every step. Also, consolidating with a single manufacturing partner eliminates the markups and inefficiencies that stack up across multiple vendors. In an era when supply chains have been tested, our clients have found real peace of mind in knowing exactly where their packaging is made and who stands behind it. ML: After more than five decades of success, what excites you most about the future of C&D Printing & Packaging, and what vision will continue to guide the company over the next 10 years? C&D: What excites us most is that we're building on a 50-year foundation with the energy of a company that's just getting started. Florida is one of the fastest-growing markets in the country, and the brands being built here, in food, beauty, wellness, hospitality, and beyond, deserve a world-class packaging partner in their own backyard. Over the next decade, our vision is to keep investing in advanced capabilities, expand what we can offer under one roof, deepen our commitment to sustainable manufacturing, and grow alongside our clients as they scale. But the guiding principle won't change: this is a family business. We measure success in decades-long partnerships, in the careers we build for our team, and in the brands we help bring to life. Our tools will keep evolving and improving, our values will stay true. Website | Instagram By ML Staff. Images courtesy of C&D Printing & Packaging
- Bulgari Hotel Rome Review: Modern Luxury Meets Ancient History
When I think of Bulgari, several concepts immediately come to mind: timeless luxury, precision craftsmanship, and a bold Italian heritage. During my recent stay at Bulgari Hotel Rome, I found that these qualities translate seamlessly into a physical space. Unlike many luxury fashion collaborations, Bulgari Hotels and Resorts are directly managed by the brand rather than licensed out. This hands-on approach ensures that the jeweler’s signature design philosophy is felt in every detail of the hospitality experience. The Rome property, which opened in 2023, beautifully translates this vision into a physical reality. History The hotel occupies a magnificent 43,000 square foot modernist building constructed between 1936 and 1938. Designed by Italian architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo, the seven-story structure is a masterclass in rationalist architecture (a type of architecture focusing on logical design prioritizing clean features and utility). During my tour of the property, I appreciated how the recent restoration by architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel respects this heritage. The design beautifully contrasts clean modernist geometries with classical Roman materials, utilizing warm ochre travertine, fine Pentelic marble, and burnt red brick to echo the monumental scale of ancient Rome. Looking closer at the public spaces, I noticed Bulgari’s exquisite custom craftsmanship, from the polished terrazzo floors with geometric mosaic inserts to the unique Murano glass cones adorning the main bar. Location Situated at number 10 in the central Piazza Augusto Imperatore, the hotel enjoys a commanding presence in the historic Campo Marzio neighborhood. It directly faces two of Rome's most significant archaeological treasures: the Ara Pacis altar and the 1st-century Mausoleum of Augustus. The location is very convenient for exploration. I found myself just a short walk away from Rome's major landmarks, like the Spanish Steps, Via del Corso, and, of course, the historic Bulgari flagship boutique on Via Condotti, which I recommend visiting. Rooms & Suites The hotel offers 106 guest accommodations, with a strong emphasis on spacious suites. These spaces are beautifully styled around four distinct color palettes—white, yellow, red, and green. During my stay, my suite occupied a prime spot on the third floor, offering spectacular, direct views of the ancient ruins outside. The attention to detail in the room is well delivered. Light-wood fluted paneling lines the entryway, cleverly concealing the closets, mini bar, and safe. Sliding doors are trimmed in stitched tan leather, and the walls are adorned with bold, graphic Bulgari advertisement prints from the 1970s. I particularly enjoyed the thoughtful daily touches, such as the afternoon herbal tea infusion and a customizable pillow menu offering options like lavender, spelt, and millet. The bathroom is a destination in itself. Wrapped in thick slabs of polished beige-taupe marble, it features a master bathtub alcove showcasing a hand-assembled circular mosaic medallion that subtly reads: "S. BVLGARI - 10 VIA CONDOTTI - ROMA," reminding me of the brand's origins. Dining The culinary program is curated by the world-renowned, three-Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito. On the fifth floor, Il Ristorante Niko Romito serves contemporary Italian cuisine on an open-air terrace with direct views of a historic Roman dome. I experienced the multi-course Menu Degustazione, priced at US$211 (€180), or US$328 (€280) with wine pairings. The meal began with artisanal sourdough and Essenza di Carma, an organic extra virgin olive oil from the border of Lazio and Umbria. The standout dishes included a minimalist terrine of Swiss chard, potato, and lemon, followed by a delicate, chilled langoustine spaghettini kissed with lemon. And then came his signature Spaghetti al Pomodoro—an incredibly memorable, velvety pasta made with three types of tomatoes that I still find myself craving. The sommelier paired these seafood flavors beautifully with a crisp, mineral-forward 2022 Etna Doc Bianco "Cavaliere" from Palmento Costanzo. For breakfast, I visited Il Caffè on the ground floor. The space is exceptionally designed with towering white marble columns, woven rattan chairs by Bonacina 1889, and warm terracotta banquettes. Rather than a standard, self-serve buffet, breakfast here is entirely à la carte, meaning you can ask for pretty much anything your heart desires. I requested my usual green juice, a perfectly cooked vegan omelette, fresh berries, and chia seed pudding—all served on pink-gold-rimmed white porcelain dinnerware featuring a vibrant floral motif. For panoramic skyline views, guests can head to the rooftop lounge, La Terrazza, which is surrounded by native Roman flora. On the ground floor, the Bulgari Dolci boutique offers artisanal Italian pastries and handmade chocolates. Amenities & Wellness Evoking the classic design of ancient Roman baths, the subterranean Bulgari Spa spans 1,500 square meters of sophisticated tranquility. I found it to be a wellness sanctuary, combining cutting-edge technology with holistic therapies. The space is home to eight treatment rooms alongside an exclusive, state-of-the-art Onyx Spa Suite, which features side-by-side treatment beds and a dramatic green alabaster hydrotherapy tub. The treatment menu is quite comprehensive. Although I did not have a treatment myself, I noted an array of advanced offerings, including high-performance Augustinus Bader skincare, Sapphire 3® Ionix Light LED therapies, and personalized Ground wellness rituals utilizing vegan, plant-based products. There is also an array of restorative options, from deep tissue and lymphatic drainage to Thai and Ayurvedic massages, alongside specialized cryotherapy, longevity rituals, and seasonally inspired Bvlgari Journeys. The Bulgari Spa's main showpiece is definitely the 20-meter heated pool, which pays direct homage to the ancient Baths of Caracalla. On one of the walls, geometric stained-glass panels diffuse a soft, colorful light throughout the stone-clad space. I actually dived into the pool three times during my stay; swimming between towering, massive columns is not something you get to do every day. Along the main wall of the pool, there is a wonderful element of discovery as you swim toward it, where you uncover two beautiful water fountains that function as powerful head and shoulder massagers as the water cascades fiercely over your body. The hotel's wellness facilities also include a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and the high-tech Bvlgari Gymnasivm. This personalized wellness experience was developed in partnership with Technogym to provide custom, AI-driven training assessments and on-demand workouts tailored to each guest. Experiences Bulgari’s deep connection to Roman culture is visible throughout the public spaces. The hotel serves as a gallery of sorts, displaying a rotating selection of original Roman sculptures from the famous Torlonia Collection, which Bulgari helped restore. In the entrance vestibule, a majestic Pentelic marble statue of a seated Augustus immediately sets a regal tone. Beyond the art-filled lobby, guests have exclusive daytime access to the Lobby Lounge, as well as a private, reservation-only library stocked with a curated collection of fine books dedicated to Roman art, history, and design. For local lifestyle experiences, the property offers a series of activities like Bvlgari’s Roma and Art Behind the Scenes, which provide deep architectural and cultural insights. For those looking to explore different facets of the region, the hotel organizes experiences such as The Streets of Artists and Artisans, a scenic Countryside Escape, or a unique lunch in a Private Home. Other specialized itineraries include playful adventures like The Treasure Hunt and highly personalized arrangements like The Perfect Proposal. contact information Bvlgari Hotel Rome Telephone: +39 06 3608 0400 Piazza Augusto Imperatore, 10, 00186, Roma RM, Italy Website Instagram By Markin Abras. - The Best Destination Cocktail Spots Worth Traveling For
The best cocktails come with a sense of place. From Champagne on the sand in Nantucket to inventive drinks hidden behind an unassuming Parisian façade, a new class of destination bars and restaurants is giving travelers another reason to plan a trip around what—and where—they drink. At Galley Beach in Nantucket, cocktails are best enjoyed with your feet in the sand and Nantucket Sound stretching out ahead. We hear the family-owned restaurant has partnered with Veuve Clicquot for a summer pop-up that brings a touch of French joie de vivre to the island, with Champagne flowing against one of Nantucket’s most coveted waterfront backdrops. The restaurant is equally serious about wine, with an extensive cellar featuring some of the best bottles available. Between the Champagne, exceptional wine list, beachside tables and umbrella service, an afternoon here can feel more like the South of France than New England. Also in Nantucket, Greydon House offers a more intimate take on the island cocktail experience. Set inside the historic boutique hotel, the bar feels polished yet relaxed, making it an ideal stop for a pre-dinner drink or late-night cocktail in the heart of town. Its restaurant, Via Mare, adds another layer to the experience with Venetian-inspired small plates designed for lingering over drinks, bringing a distinctly European sensibility to Nantucket’s dining scene. Farther down the East Coast, Barlume Beach in Montauk, from LDV Hospitality, channels the effortless glamour of an Italian seaside escape. The beachfront setting makes it the kind of place where cocktails stretch into long afternoons, with the ocean just beyond the table and a relaxed, Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere that feels made for summer. In Paris, Le 7 Cocktail Bar at Mondovi Luxury Suites offers a completely different kind of escape. Hidden in the heart of the 1st arrondissement, steps from Place Vendôme and the Tuileries, the intimate cocktail bar features a secluded terrace and a menu of signature drinks created by legendary bartender Colin Field. It is the kind of address that feels like a discovery—a discreet place to settle in for cocktails and light bites while tucked away from the energy of central Paris. High in the mountains of South Tyrol, MIRAMONTI Boutique Hotel proves that cocktail culture can thrive far beyond the world's major cities. The hotel’s new Rotwand restaurant and bar embraces its alpine setting, offering a place to linger over drinks surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Italian Alps. And if a cocktail isn't your thing, MIRAMONTI takes its morning ritual just as seriously: the hotel even roasts its own coffee, bringing the same attention to craftsmanship to an espresso as it does to an evening drink. On the coast of Crete, Calea at Acro Suites pairs cocktails with one of the Mediterranean’s most dramatic settings. Perched above the Aegean, the restaurant celebrates the flavors and ingredients of the island through a refined, contemporary lens, making sunset drinks feel inseparable from the destination itself. Come for a cocktail overlooking the sea, stay for a dinner that captures the wild beauty and culinary traditions of Crete. For a Caribbean take on the destination cocktail, La Table at Hotel Le Toiny in St. Barts offers a setting that feels entirely its own. Perched above the island’s wild and windswept side, the restaurant pairs sweeping sea views with the kind of effortlessly glamorous atmosphere that defines St. Barts. Settle in for a cocktail as the light changes over the coast, then stay for dinner—this is the kind of place where one drink easily turns into an evening. Together, these destinations prove that the world's most memorable drinking experiences aren't necessarily found at traditional cocktail bars. Sometimes the real luxury is the setting: Champagne with your toes in the Nantucket sand, an oceanfront aperitivo in Montauk, a hidden terrace in Paris, a drink surrounded by the mountains of South Tyrol, or a sunset cocktail overlooking the Cretan Sea. These are places where what's in the glass is only part of the reason to go. By ML Staff. - Miami’s Sunland Group Debuts Casa Vanda, a Defining New $10M Luxury Residence on the Belmar Waterfront
Sunland Group, a leading, full-service design, development, construction, and brokerage firm, today announced the debut of Casa Vanda, a new luxury residence in Miami's Belmar district that is pioneering a new standard for design-forward, single-family living in the neighborhood. Situated on an over 9,000-square-foot lot, the three-story home is thoughtfully oriented toward a teal-toned canal flowing into Biscayne Bay, its distinctive architectural profile giving rise to a cascading series of terraces and balconies that capture sweeping water views. A lush rear garden extends this vision further, flowing into the home's open ground-floor living space and cultivating an indoor-outdoor experience defined by the serene natural beauty and marina-like lifestyle for which Belmar is known. Priced at $10M, Casa Vanda is brought to market by Sunland Real Estate Exclusives, Sunland Group's dedicated brokerage arm for luxury residences fully designed and developed in-house. The listing marks the firm's latest milestone in an expanding portfolio of design-forward, waterfront single-family homes, following the debut of Marea Collection, a group of four architecturally distinct ultra-luxury residences that similarly redefined luxury living. Together, the two projects underscore Sunland's growing reputation as a creative force in Miami's luxury market, bringing compelling architectural vision to emerging neighborhoods and setting new benchmarks for single-family design along the city’s waterways. "Casa Vanda represents everything we set out to achieve when we founded Sunland Group," said Naoshi Matsumoto, Founder of Sunland Group. "We wanted to create a home rooted in its surroundings, where the water, landscape, and architecture are in constant dialogue. The result is a residence that offers a genuinely new way of living in Miami, one where the line between indoors and out dissolves completely, and where the serenity and ease of a water-centric lifestyle are woven into every detail of the everyday experience." Located at 1155 NE 89th Street, Casa Vanda is crafted in the spirit of Tropical Modernism, blending clean contemporary lines with exposed concrete walls, warm natural materials, and integrated planters that blur the boundary between architecture and landscape. In conceiving the home, Sunland Group's in-house design team drew the location into its very ethos, weaving terraces and balconies across all three floors to capture commanding canal views in every direction and extend everyday living effortlessly into the open air. Seen from the street, the home makes an immediate impression through a dynamic, stacked silhouette anchored by a dramatic cream-colored stone feature wall textured with seashells and a soaring three-story window that frames a statement staircase. This sense of elevation finds its fullest expression at the rear, where the ground floor opens completely, its two upper stories carried on sleek, minimal supports that give the structure the appearance of floating above the landscape. "Tropical Modernism gave us the perfect framework for Casa Vanda," said Evelyn Gavilondo, Director of Design at Sunland Group. "It is a design language that is inherently in conversation with its environment, and one that allowed us to temper the home's bold geometric presence with real warmth, through the natural materials, integrated planters, and way light moves through the space. We wanted the architecture to feel considered and precise, yet also deeply livable. Casa Vanda is the kind of home that draws you outside and makes every transition feel completely at ease." Inside, the 4,800-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-bathroom and one-half bath residence unfolds as an airy sanctuary, with generous layouts framed by oversized windows that flood the interiors with natural light. Moving past the main entry, the property’s ground floor opens into an expansive al fresco living area that extends into the lush rear garden, creating a seamless and ultra-private indoor-outdoor living experience. The covered open-air living space encompasses an ample sitting area, outdoor kitchen with island, and dining area, opening directly onto a terrace with an integrated pool and lawn framed by tropical greenery. Upstairs, the second floor encompasses four different rooms: a formal living room, separate dining room, kitchen with island and a family room adjacent to the kitchen. Warm neutral tones create a cohesive aesthetic across the different spaces while lending them a refined yet inviting character. A sweeping rear-facing terrace, accessed through floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, serves as an exterior extension to the communal spaces, offering a dedicated setting for outdoor dining and lounging among the treetops. Bedrooms, located on the second and third floors, offer a mix of canal and verdant garden views and include private outdoor spaces. Occupying the third floor, the home’s generously sized primary suite contains a dedicated sitting area and a spa-inspired ensuite bathroom with an oversized soaking tub, walk-in shower, and dual vanities. Adorning the residence is a rooftop terrace with 360-degree vistas of Belmar's waterways and the surrounding landscape. Finished in warm wood, the terrace serves as the crowning jewel of the property, offering an exceptional area for outdoor lounging, dining, and entertaining against a panoramic backdrop. Casa Vanda has also been outfitted with an integrated two-car garage and a private, 50-foot boat dock along the canal, providing direct water access. Situated along the waterways of Miami's Upper East Side, Belmar is one of the city's most coveted residential enclaves. Tree-lined streets and well-preserved mid-century modern architecture give the neighborhood a distinct character and unhurried pace, while easy canal and bay access draws residents who prioritize a marina-like lifestyle without sacrificing city conveniences. Families, young professionals, and retirees alike are drawn to its strong sense of community, excellent schools, and walkable mix of restaurants, parks, and local amenities. The neighborhood also sits within reach of some of Miami's most iconic destinations, including the Miami Beach Boardwalk and the Miami Design District, with Downtown Miami just 25 minutes away and easy access to I-95. Sunland Group’s in-house luxury brokerage, Sunland Real Estate Exclusives, is leading sales for Casa Vanda, which is priced at $10 million. - PUR-FORM Brings Dezawa MuseCells Regenerative Therapy to South Florida
South Florida continues to expand as a primary destination for longevity and regenerative medicine. The region recently welcomed a new treatment previously accessible primarily overseas. On June 15, Boca Raton longevity clinic PUR-FORM became one of the first providers in the United States authorized to offer Dezawa MuseCells. MuseCells are naturally occurring, self-renewing stem cells that target injured areas to support healing and performance recovery. Until recently, consumers and athletes interested in the treatment had to travel internationally to receive it. The therapy has gained attention for its potential role in tissue repair, systemic rejuvenation, and orthopedic recovery. Dr. Joseph Purita, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and founder of PUR-FORM, serves as the medical director of the facility. With over two decades of experience in cellular therapies, he focuses on non-surgical treatments for musculoskeletal conditions and overall health optimization. His clinic utilizes genuine licensed Dezawa MuseCells sourced through authorized channels. The introduction of this therapy aligns with a broader regional trend across Palm Beach County and South Florida. Consumer demand for wellness and recovery options continues to increase, establishing the area as a leading market for healthspan investments. Individuals interested in learning more about the treatment protocols can explore the official PUR-FORM website. By ML Staff. Photos: PUR-FORM.
- EoA Group Designs Si Si at The Palms with Coastal Inspiration
Inspired by the relaxed silhouette of a classic floppy beach hat, Si Si at The Palms in Turks & Caicos features a sweeping hand-woven canopy above its elevated pool deck. The coastal venue is the work of Coral Gables-based EoA Group, which handled both the architecture and interior design. The firm navigated the challenge of constructing a pool bar, a full dining room, and an operating kitchen while maintaining the property's coastal views. The venue design focuses on harmonizing functionality with the surrounding environment. A secondary woven canopy extends across the deck to conceal mechanical systems. This structure cantilevers around the perimeter to provide shade for the pool lounge and swim-up bar while creating a distinct visual element when viewed from the property's guestroom towers. The completed hospitality space balances activity and relaxation areas to encourage social interaction and a direct connection to the coastal setting. By ML Staff. Photos: Moris Moreno.

- ‘Lead with Love’ Mural Debuts in Tamarac
The Community Foundation of Broward, Business for the Arts Broward and the City of Tamarac are proud to debut a new “Lead with Love” mural by visionary artist Cey Adams, a featured attraction in Tamarac at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., Tamarac, FL 33351. The mural is visible along Commercial Boulevard and serves as a colorful reflection of unity, positivity, and community spirit in Tamarac. This engaging work of art is the sixth mural in collaboration between the Community Foundation, Business for the Arts Broward and Adams to create nine love-themed murals that foster inspiration, unity and leadership in communities across Broward. The “Lead with Love” mural project, running from fall 2024 to 2027, is a transformative public art initiative to spread a message of love and unity in the nine Broward County Commission Districts. The goal is to use the power of the arts to enrich and unify the community and promote cultural engagement. To commemorate the completion of the City’s new “Lead With Love” mural and celebrate art, community, and creativity, the Community Foundation of Broward, Business for the Arts Broward and the City of Tamarac hosted two special events. On June 1, community members had the opportunity to meet Adams, learn about the inspiration behind the artwork, and witness a special collaborative moment as elected officials and project sponsors helped complete a few remaining sections of the mural alongside the artist. Then, on July 13, supporters joined Adams for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Artist and City of Tamarac Public Art Consultant George Gadson emceed the event. In addition to Adams, guests heard remarks from Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez, Commissioner Morey Wright, Community Foundation of Broward Board Chair Jonathan K. Allen, Business for the Arts Broward Board Member Jennifer Bales Drake, Esq. and Senior Director of External Affairs of Florida Power & Light Company and Director of Corporate Philanthropy of NextEra Energy Juliet Roulhac. The murals foster a sense of pride within each community by creating public art that reflects local identity and spirit. Each mural will serve as a cultural landmark, enhancing local character and providing a space for communal gathering and reflection. The murals are lasting symbols of love and cultural diversity, contributing to the artistic landscape of Broward County and fostering a deeper appreciation for art and community collaboration. Adams has tapped into the Broward County arts community and invited select artists to join him in the mural creation process. The project’s first artwork, the “LOVE Las Olas” mural, is located on the western exterior wall of Hoffman’s Chocolates at 601 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, facing Tunnel Top Park. The second artwork, the “ONE LOVE PLANTATION” mural, is at Kingsley Park at 4680 NW 9th Court in Plantation. The third “Love” mural is located at the Dania Beach Marina, at 151 North Beach Road, Dania Beach. The fourth is located at the newly revitalized Huizenga Park at 32 E. Las Olas Blvd. in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The fifth mural is a featured attraction in Pompano Beach at Kelly’s Chemicals, 135 NE 1st Ave., Pompano Beach, FL 33060. The “Lead with Love” mural project is supported by various sponsors, including the Community Foundation, Business for the Arts Broward, Dara and Jarett Levan Fund for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Broward, Florida Power & Light, the BBX Capital Fund for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Broward and the Broward Cultural Division. In 2025, the Community Foundation made “Lead with Love” its motto to reflect how local philanthropy is a powerful way to show love for the community. The message also encourages more people to participate in philanthropy that uplifts Broward. “Lead with Love” highlights the role of philanthropy in creating equitable opportunities for all residents, empowering nonprofits to sustain and grow their missions, and connecting people who care to causes that matter.
