- Celebrate with Your Favorite Disney Heroes and Villains: What to Expect Inside DCL’s New Disney Destiny
The Disney Destiny is the seventh ship to join the Disney Cruise Line family. Aboard, cruisers will be enchanted with the various character appearances in the Grand Hall, mesmerized with the Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theater, and fascinated by the numerous dining options on board—not to mention all the adult spaces where you can grab magical cocktails. The Disney Destiny has all the bells and whistles that you’ve come to expect from a Disney production, but what really sets this ship apart is the superhero (or villain) theme that is sprinkled throughout the experience. Both heroes and villains are equally represented aboard—from Moana to Cruella, Big Hero 6 to Loki, and everyone in between. Another nice addition is the incorporation of the Marvel universe, which can be found in various places—check out the sculpture of Spider-Man on the stern of the Destiny as you embark from the day’s port, and make sure to catch him waving from the Grand Hall balcony as he greets passengers while boarding. Throughout the course of a sailing there will be various activities happening at the Grand Hall. Loki, Maleficent, Cruella, and Black Panther all tell their stories at a walk-up stage in the Grand Hall with the help of Zayah and Gamble , the fabulous storytellers who you will see throughout your journey (it will feel like they are everywhere, and they are awesome!). If you are bringing your little ones aboard, don’t worry, the classic Disney characters that many of us grew up with are still sailing with you. One magical experience is the Dance Party with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Chip & Dale—this is an unforgettable experience for the little ones who will have the chance to dance with their favorite characters. And of course, make sure to check the Navigator app to see where and when your favorite Disney characters will be for the meet-and-greets—Hero Minnie and Pirate Mickey were some of my favorites! Immersive Dining Experiences and More As with its sister ships, there are three main sit-down, themed restaurants aboard the Destiny. Each one offers a unique experience. If you have cruised with DCL before, you may be familiar with the rotational dining where your server rotates with you each night as you dine in different restaurants. This way you get to know your server, and they get to know you! Aboard the Destiny you will dine at the all-new Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King . Here guests will get dinner and a show. There is a center stage where performers will take you on a musical journey of The Lion King. Enjoy a wide-ranging menu inspired by the flavors of Africa and join Simba (through song) as he finds his own destiny. Make sure to try the vegetable tagine and the shrimp curry, these were the highlights! Take a peek inside the Marvel universe at the Worlds of Marvel . Here we celebrate the world’s greatest heroes. Step into the world of the Avengers. This restaurant is decorated with large screens where Baby Groot and Rocket Racoon will entertain you. There is also a controller at the center of each table to participate in a giant game of trivia during dinner—test your knowledge, impress your friends, and have some fun. And for music, guests will have the pleasure to listen to the Awesome Mix Tapes from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie—this 60s and 70’s soundtrack will get the party started. From the menu, the Delmonico Rib-Eye Steak and the Golden Mystic Pasta were two of our favorites! Last but certainly not least, 1923 is an elegant dining room named after the year Walt Disney Studios opened. Dine among the sketches that have made history—The Incredibles, Rapunzel, Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin. This sophisticated dining experience offers guests a moment to step back and immerse themselves upon the magic that is Disney. Both the salmon and the filet mignon are equally mouthwatering! Open for breakfast and lunch is Marceline Market . There are ten counters, each with classic favorites (eggs and bacon for breakfast), international specialties (chicken tikka masala for lunch), and vegetarian options (veggies galore). The offerings are similar to what you will find in other DCL ships—Mickey Mouse waffles? Definitely! With indoor and outdoor seating, there is always an amazing view of the ocean. DCL understands there is a lot to do while on board, which is why they have added some quick service options where guest can grab burgers, ribs, burritos, chicken tenders, and soft-serve ice-cream whenever hunger strikes. Visit Mickey's Smokestack BBQ, Donald's Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill and Minnie’s Delights located on deck 11, opposite from Marceline Market. This ship could not be complete without Edna À La Mode Sweets , where kids (and adults) can indulge in some of the tastiest treats on board—from gelato to Incredible cupcakes, come to Edna’s lab (which has been repurposed for sweets) and sweeten your day. Villainous and Heroic Inspired Adult Zones Deck 3 midship is where a lot of the action happens. Here is where adults will find spaces specifically designed for them to enjoy while the kids are at the Oceaneer Club or in the Teenager spaces (or maybe sound asleep in the state room). De Vil’s is a chic piano lounge that follows Cruella’s signature colors red, white, and black—after all, she is the inspiration behind all of it. Cocktails are inspired by Cruella herself—the fashionista’s essence runs through every corner. Order a Perfectly Wretched , which comes with a lipstick, powder, and perfume—so you can feel like Cruella herself! Relax and listen to some classic Disney tunes being played on the black and white spotted piano, but don’t get too comfy, Cruella might even pop in for some villainous fun. If you have been on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World, then you understand the ambiance. At the Haunted Mansion Parlor guests walk into what looks like a spooky room inside an old forgotten castle. Cobwebs on the chandelier, lighting that doesn’t quite work, and ghosts that like to appear on the mirrors and terrify the guests. If you liked the ride, you’ll love the parlor. Across from both, you will find The Sanctum , which, unlike the other two, is not behind closed doors. This open space offers large comfortable seating, live music, and a unique menu well suited for your inner sorcerer. Here Marvel Studios Doctor Strange comes to life, whether your cocktail bubbles, electrifies or is upside down, you’ll experience magic and a little mystery. Located on deck 4, Cask & Cannon is another space that is inspired by a classic Disney ride: Pirates of the Caribbean. Inside there is a nautical motif, just how a pirate would like their tavern to look like. Guests can catch sports on the big screen, sit on a barrel, or simply be taken by all the intricate décor from treasure maps to wooden planks. Keep one eye open for Disney easter eggs scattered throughout the bar and pub! Spectacular Entertainment There is so much to do onboard, but cruisers can’t miss Hercules , which is exclusively on the Disney Destiny. This state-of-the-art Broadway-style show takes the beloved 1997 film and brings it to life on the Walt Disney Theater. The muses narrate the story through song, there is an epic battle of Hercules against Hydra (an excellent use of animatronics on stage), and seamless set changes that transport you to a different world. Also to be enjoyed on the Disney Destiny is Frozen, A Musical Spectacular . Arendelle comes to life onstage to dazzle cruisers with fan favorite songs like Let it Go —it will give you chills, get it? —and Olaf and Sven will feel like they are alive, thanks to the impressive puppetry. The show follows the story from the 2013 film—meet Anna and Elsa as kids, and then as adults, watch Anna and Kristoff fend off the wolves on the terrifying sleighride (the projections and excellent wolf costumes make the audience feel like they are part of the chase), and even witness Elsa create her ice-castle and turn into the Snow Queen in real time—a truly magical and seamless transformation. If you are looking for more entertainment at night, Saga is the place to be. During the day it hosts family events, but when the sun sets, this space turns into a two-story adult-exclusive lounge where you can catch trivia, karaoke, game shows, and some mature comedy shows hosted by the storytellers Zayah and Gamble. With Great Power: A Marvel Comedy Show is a cruise highlight for sure and tells the stories of seven heroes who possess unique virtues, and one antihero (Deadpool) who is extremely inappropriate (and hilarious). This must-see comedy show is scripted and delivered to perfection. Zayah and Gamble are a two-person show with multiple costume and set changes. It feels spontaneous, and the use of puppetry and projection takes guest from meeting Captain America in 1942, to seeing Ant-Man at the Baskin-Robbins. It’s impressive how much they can pack in one hour, on a small stage, with only two performers and one DJ. Somehow, most of the Avengers assemble on that stage. Making a Splash Ready to relax and refresh? New on the Disney Destiny is the AquaMouse . This water-coaster features an exhilarating drop, followed by many twists and turns that will get you soaked. These winding tubes take you through the ship (wave to your family on deck 11!) and if there is no line you can ride again. What sets this coaster apart is the initial ascent during which you enter a tube where you watch animated scenes of your favorite Mickey & Minnie cartoons before the adrenaline kicks in. Also on deck 11 are various pools inspired by Mickey and his friends. There is a total of 10 pools , so you can really do some pool hopping if that’s what you like. Most of the pools face the Funnel Vision, which show Disney classics throughout the day—just what the kids want, to splash and watch movies at the same time, it truly is the Dream, I mean, their Destiny! Tip: on deck 12 the Chip and Dale wade pool is heated, perfect for colder days, and it’s right outside the Toy Story Splash Zone. Toy Story Splash Zone is a perfect space for little ones looking to run around and interact with their favorite Toy Story characters. And if your little on is taller than 40-inches then they can ride the Slide-a-saurus Rex , which is thrilling even for mom and dad. For a cold and rainy-day head over to the Hero Zone , where brave competitors will find the Incredi-Games . Test your skills on this gigantic inflatable obstacle course designed for two cruisers to go head-to-head against their family or friends. This space is designed for family fun, including a second-floor mezzanine where you can view the competition from above, and even play some foosball and air hockey. Fun for the Kids As you might expect, Disney’s Oceaneer Club has various spaces for kids to explore. And the Destiny has truly gone big for your tiny Oceaneer—from Elsa’s coronation to late-night pajama parties. Kids will find the magical slide next to the Grand Hall, that will take them straight into the Oceaneer Club located in deck 2. Here they will be greeted by the trained counselors, and off they go to explore the various magical worlds that have been created specifically for them. Kids will meet their favorite princesses at Fairytale Hall , check out Rapunzel’s Art Studio, Belle’s Library and Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus. These various spaces allow kids to be creative and feel like they are inside of their favorite Disney films. If you keep exploring, you will find Star Wars : Cargo Bay . There are so many buttons to push and levers to pull. It will feel like you are part of the Resistance in another world. Enter the world of the Avengers at the Marvel Super Hero Academy . This high-tech space allows kids to create their own hero suit, then they see it generated in front of them on a mannequin, and finally, they get to suit up put it to the test. Sling webs like Spider-Man and win the battle against Marvels notorious villains. One of my favorite spaces for the little ones is Mickey & Minnie Captain’s Deck. This indoor playground is full of nautical fun. There are slides, wheels, and many things to crank, plus also sensory-style games and activities and maybe even a surprise appearance of Captain Minnie herself. Finally, at the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab kids can design their own roller coaster and then ride it. You read that right. The Ride Studio gives them the tools and the simulator to experience their creation. If your Oceaneer has grown up a bit, check out Edge on Deck 5, a space dedicated specially for the Tweens aboard. Here 11–14-year-olds can hangout and be parent free in a safe space. There are majestic views of the ocean, and the décor inside resembles New York City—these kids will feel very cool and enjoy the activities guided by the counselors. For the older teens, Vibe offers them a space to watch TV, listen to music, and make new friends. Decorated like a Parisian-style loft with a retro twist, this space is also parent-free and gives them the independence they crave. The Hideaway is another popular spot for tweens and teens aboard, here there is a dance floor and a DJ booth, perpetually ready for a dance party or karaoke ballad. Top 10 Travel Tips Download the Navigator app as soon as you board (or before!) so you can start ‘hearting’ all the activities you want to see on board Be sure to head over to the AquaMouse on embarkation day (weather permitting), as soon as you board—most likely you will find the shortest lines We’ve never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants , don’t stress—your table will be ready when you are Character encounters are popular, get there on time to ensure you get that picture-perfect moment Don’t miss the Dance Party in the Grand Hall, this is a wonderful experience for the kids and the adults Be sure to catch all the shows at the Grand Hall, from Sleeping Beauty Tale to Cruella’s Wretched Runway , these are well put together, clever, and delightful The Walt Disney Theater doesn’t have a bad seat, but if you can, get a seat in the center, to get the best view of the dazzling special effects Saga has many adult-only shows, don’t miss the comedy show With Great Power —there are no words, you simply must go, it’s a guaranteed fun time Remember that Marceline Market (buffet) is not open for dinner, but there is plenty of other food on deck 11 (from burritos to burgers) Bring your Mickey or Minnie ears on board—you won’t be taking them off since they make for adorable pictures, and really get you in the Disney spirit Ready to set sail and cruise on Disney’s Destiny? - International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference Florida 2025: Trends, Innovations, and New Directions in the Beauty Industry
The fall season is traditionally the time when the beauty industry reviews the past year and shapes its strategy for the upcoming one. For professionals, staying updated during this period is especially important: the market is evolving rapidly, with new formulas, hybrid protocols, digital tools, and advanced diagnostic technologies emerging at an unprecedented pace. Those who fail to keep up risk operating with outdated standards. Today, standing still is no longer an option - clients are far more discerning, expecting evidence-based approaches, personalized treatments, and intelligent solutions. This means that professionals must continually expand their knowledge, integrate new techniques, and rethink their practice. This is why experts who can identify trends before they reach the mainstream have become particularly valuable. One such specialist is Olena Davydova , an experienced esthetician, licensed anti-aging therapy expert and the founder of My Miami Beauty ( Miami, Florida). She doesn’t simply attend key industry events - she approaches them as part of a systematic research process, analyzing emerging technologies, evaluating their scientific rationale, and recognizing which innovations truly have the potential to reshape the field. For her, participating in professional conferences is not a matter of fashion, but an essential working tool that allows her to bring the most current protocols and solutions into her practice. Thanks to this approach, Olena has become a trusted expert whose insights are especially relevant at a time when the industry is on the brink of new seasonal updates and major shifts. One of the most recent large-scale beauty events that brought together top specialists from across the country was the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference Florida (IECSC Florida 2025) . Following this conference, we sat down with Olena to discuss the trends shaping the fall of 2025 in esthetics and how the philosophy of the profession is evolving today. Olena Davydova, a licensed anti-aging therapy expert, founder of the beauty studio My Miami Beauty Studio Olena, what was the most important professional insight you gained at IECSC Florida 2025? This conference truly stands out as one of the most valuable professional events of the year. You can feel the high level of organization and the exceptional quality of the content. The program was structured to cover every relevant direction - from advanced device-based and injectable aesthetics to branding and salon management. What was especially valuable was that IECSC places greater emphasis on evidence-based practice and the scientific foundations of our work, as well as on the growing synergy between aesthetics and medical science. Which sessions impressed you the most? I attended Michael Razzano’s workshop on BioRePeelCl3 and Microneedling with a Chemical Peel . Michael is an outstanding educator - he knows how to explain complex processes clearly without oversimplifying. His presentation went far beyond product knowledge. He broke down the mechanism of BioRePeel on a cellular level - from fibroblast stimulation to inflammation control. He emphasized critical details such as exposure time, layering technique, and skin reaction under combined treatments. His facial plastic surgery and medical spa background in Philadelphia makes his approach exceptionally evidence-driven. After his class, I revisited some of my own treatment protocols and discovered safer ways to combine procedures even for clients with thin or reactive skin. Live demonstration at Michael Razzano's session What professional trends stood out to you at the conference? The leading trend today is individualization and multi-protocol integration - and that was brilliantly demonstrated by Karla Brenes and Mona Cardozo from BioSkin Aesthetics . Karla Brenes embodies professionalism. Her Live Demo: BioRePeelCl3 and Microneedling with a Chemical Peel was a master class in precision and adaptability. She worked with several models of different skin phototypes, adjusting the intensity and technique for each. It was the perfect illustration of how versatile BioRePeel can be when applied intelligently. Karla stressed that there’s no “one-size-fits-all” solution – personalization is the true art of aesthetics. Olena Davydova and Mona Cardozo, official representative at Bioskin Aesthetics (right) Mona Cardozo has exceptional knowledge of Bioskin Aesthetics products and understands how to use them to achieve the best results. Her Introduction to BioRePeelCI3 session went beyond theory. She demonstrated how to properly combine peels and serums within the same day to achieve maximum efficacy without compromising the skin’s hydrolipid barrier. Mona explained why some product pairings amplify each other’s results, while others can cancel out their effects. For a practicing professional, that kind of knowledge is priceless - it allows us to build truly intelligent and results-oriented skincare protocols. Which technologies or approaches in device-based aesthetics impressed you the most? I was particularly inspired by Tai Gomez from Zemits & Advance-Esthetic and her session “From Device to Dermis: Zemits Technology Meets Circadia Skincare for Acne Solutions.” Tai demonstrated how Zemits technologies can be integrated with Circadia professional skincare for a comprehensive acne treatment strategy. The key insight is that success requires a systemic approach : device + product + home care = consistent, long-term results. Her method reflects true clinical reasoning - every step was justified and supported by data, not just marketing. Which innovations particularly caught your attention? Thomas Ducey’s presentation from BioSkin Aesthetics was one of the highlights for me. Thomas is a true authority on aesthetic equipment technologies. His session on BioTouch Precision revealed that modern devices are no longer just “machines” - they are sophisticated bioengineering systems. He explained how the synchronized operation of micro-vibrations and controlled serum infusion ensures even distribution of actives throughout the dermis, enhancing cellular response without trauma. For me, that level of precision and control represents the future of device-based skincare. After his talk, I realized this technology fits perfectly into my practice - it offers high efficacy with minimal invasiveness. Thomas helped me see that investing in the right equipment isn’t an expense; it’s growth. Would you agree that IECSC can be described as “the laboratory of the future” for the beauty industry? How is the philosophy of the profession evolving today? The most important realization is that the beauty industry is rapidly moving toward the integration of technology and wellness. Today’s clients seek not only visible results, but also inner balance and emotional well-being . IECSC is a space where the standards of the future are born - not just treatment protocols, but a new mindset among professionals. Here we don’t simply “make people look beautiful” - we shape a culture of mindful, intelligent aesthetics. I left every session feeling inspired and with a clear action plan for new protocols and technologies to implement in my own studio. By Adriana Garuolis. Images courtesy of IECSS Florida 2025

This makes 7OH tablets the ideal companion for: Busy Professionals: Keep a bottle in your desk or bag for easy access during a hectic workday. Frequent Travelers: Tablets are travel-friendly, compact, and don’t involve liquids or powders that can cause issues at security checkpoints. Active Individuals: Whether you're heading to the gym or out for a hike, you can easily pack them without a second thought. This effortless integration into your daily schedule means you're more likely to stay consistent with your routine. You don’t have to set aside extra time for preparation; you just take your tablet and get on with your day. A Discreet and Private Option For many people, privacy is a priority. Taking a supplement is a personal choice, and you may not want to draw attention to it. Tablets are one of the most discreet formats available. They are odorless, flavorless, and look like any other common vitamin or supplement. You can take a tablet privately without anyone knowing what it is. This is a stark contrast to using a vape, which creates a visible vapor, or mixing a powder into a drink. If you value discretion and want to keep your wellness routine to yourself, tablets are an unparalleled choice. How Do Tablets Compare to Other 7OH Products? To truly understand if tablets are right for you, it helps to see how they stack up against other popular 7OH formats. Each product type serves a different purpose, and the best one for you depends on your personal preferences and priorities. Tablets vs. 7OH Gummies Gummies are known for their delicious flavors, which can make taking a daily supplement feel like a treat. This enjoyable experience is a major draw for many users. However, gummies often contain sugar, gelatin, and artificial flavorings, which may not align with everyone's dietary goals. Tablets, on the other hand, are typically free of these additives. They provide a pure delivery of the active ingredient without the extra sugar or calories. If you prioritize function over flavor and want a cleaner product, tablets are the superior choice. Tablets vs. 7OH Powders Powders offer excellent versatility. They allow you to customize your serving size down to the milligram and mix it into various foods and drinks. This is great for users who want to experiment or have very specific needs. The downside of powder is the inconvenience. It requires careful measuring, can be messy to handle, and has a distinct taste that often needs to be masked. Tablets remove all this hassle. They offer the same active ingredient in a simple, pre-measured format that requires zero preparation. For daily use, the simplicity of a tablet often outweighs the customization of a powder. Tablets vs. 7OH Vapes Vapes deliver the fastest effects, as the 7-hydroxymitragynine is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the lungs. This is ideal for those seeking immediate support. However, the effects from vaping are typically shorter-lived. More importantly, not everyone is comfortable with inhaling substances. Tablets, being an oral format, are processed through the digestive system. This results in a slower, more gradual onset but often provides a longer-lasting experience, which many people prefer for all-day support. As the consumer market continues to show, a significant portion of users prefer non-inhalable products for their daily routines. The Ideal Choice for a Structured Routine So, are 7OH tablets the best option for your daily needs? If your goal is to build a consistent, hassle-free wellness habit, the answer is a strong yes. They offer the perfect balance of precision, convenience, and discretion. Tablets are for the person who values: Simplicity: No measuring, mixing, or prep work required. Consistency: An exact, reliable amount in every single serving. Portability: Easy to carry and take anywhere, anytime. Purity: A straightforward delivery method without added sugars or flavors. By removing the common barriers to maintaining a supplement schedule, 7OH tablets make it easier than ever to incorporate the benefits of 7-hydroxymitragynine into your daily life. They are the practical, no-nonsense choice for the modern wellness consumer. Ready to simplify your daily routine? - 5 Expert Tips to Boost Skin Moisture and Improve Texture
Healthy, smooth skin depends on more than just a daily moisturizer. Dryness and uneven texture often result from habits, environment, and the natural aging process. Learning how to restore moisture and refine texture helps skin look and feel balanced, soft, and refreshed. This article explains expert-approved ways to hydrate deeply, smooth rough areas, and support the skin’s natural repair process. Through simple adjustments in skincare and nutrition, anyone can build a routine that keeps skin strong, bright, and comfortable year-round. Use hyaluronic acid serums to deeply hydrate and plump skin Hyaluronic acid helps the skin hold moisture, which supports a smoother and fuller look. It attracts water to the surface of the skin, helping it stay soft and balanced. Regular use can make the skin feel more comfortable, especially in dry or cold weather. A serum with this ingredient absorbs quickly and works well under moisturizer or sunscreen. It can suit most skin types, including sensitive ones. People often apply it to slightly damp skin to help lock in hydration. The anti-aging skincare line by Elire includes formulas that combine hyaluronic acid with other science-based ingredients. These products aim to address dryness, uneven tone, and fine lines. The brand’s focus on targeted solutions allows users to build a routine that supports both texture and moisture balance. Using hyaluronic acid daily may also help reduce the look of fine lines caused by dryness. Over time, the skin can appear smoother and more supple without feeling heavy or greasy. Incorporate retinoids to promote cell turnover and smooth texture Retinoids help the skin shed old cells and replace them with new ones. This steady renewal process can reduce rough patches and create a smoother surface. Regular use may also help even out tone and reduce the look of fine lines caused by dryness or sun exposure. These vitamin A derivatives work by connecting with receptors in the skin that control cell growth. As a result, they support collagen production, which helps maintain firmness and texture. However, starting slowly helps the skin adjust and reduces irritation. A pea-sized amount applied at night is usually enough. People with sensitive skin may use it every other night until their skin adapts. Moisturizer afterward helps prevent dryness. Dermatologists often recommend retinoids as part of a long-term routine. With consistent use, the skin can appear smoother, softer, and more balanced in tone. Apply vitamin C serums daily to brighten and even skin tone Vitamin C supports a smoother and more balanced complexion. It helps reduce dullness and dark spots, which often appear from sun exposure or aging. Regular use can make skin look clearer and more uniform in tone. Experts note that daily application gives the best results. Vitamin C works as an antioxidant that protects the skin from pollution and other stressors. Consistent use may also support collagen production, which keeps the skin firm and soft. A few drops each morning before moisturizer can make a visible difference over time. It is best to apply it to clean, dry skin so the formula absorbs well. For sensitive skin, lower concentrations may help avoid irritation while still giving brightening benefits. Storing the serum in a cool, dark place helps maintain its strength. Over several weeks, users often notice smoother texture and a more even glow with steady use. Exfoliate regularly with chemical exfoliants like AHAs or BHAs to remove dead skin Regular exfoliation helps skin look smoother and feel softer. Chemical exfoliants such as AHAs and BHAs dissolve dead skin cells instead of scrubbing them away. This method reduces surface buildup and allows fresh skin to appear more even in tone and texture. AHAs, like glycolic or lactic acid, work on the skin’s surface to clear dull cells and improve brightness. BHAs, such as salicylic acid, go deeper into pores to remove oil and debris. Together, they help reduce roughness and clogged pores without harsh friction. People with dry or uneven skin may notice better moisture absorption after gentle exfoliation. However, using these acids too often can lead to irritation. Therefore, experts suggest starting slowly—once or twice a week—and adjusting based on how the skin responds. Applying sunscreen daily after exfoliation protects the new skin layer from sun damage. Consistent care supports smoother, more balanced skin over time. Increase zinc intake to support collagen production and skin repair Zinc helps the body make and maintain collagen, a protein that keeps skin firm and smooth. It also plays a part in tissue repair, which helps the skin recover from dryness, irritation, or minor damage. People who do not get enough zinc may notice slower healing or dull skin texture. Foods such as meat, seafood, nuts, seeds, and whole grains supply zinc naturally. A balanced diet with these foods can support steady collagen production and help maintain skin strength. Some people may also use supplements, but they should check with a healthcare provider before adding them. Zinc also protects skin cells from free radicals that can cause early signs of aging. Therefore, steady intake of this mineral supports both the structure and appearance of the skin. By keeping zinc levels in a healthy range, the body has the nutrients it needs for smoother, more resilient skin. Healthy skin depends on steady moisture and a smooth surface. Consistent care, gentle products, and balanced habits help the skin stay soft and even. Small daily steps, such as using a mild cleanser and applying a moisturizer with proven ingredients, can make a clear difference. Proper hydration from both skincare and diet supports the skin barrier and texture. Each person’s skin responds differently, so adjusting products and routines as needed leads to better results. With patience and regular care, the skin can look and feel more balanced and comfortable. By ML staff. Images courtesy of Unsplash.
- Natural Strategies for Staying Focused During Miami’s Busy Seasons
Miami's busiest, or peak tourist season, is typically during the winter and early spring months, specifically from December to April. This is because the weather during this time is ideal—sunny skies, comfortable temperatures (mid-60s to low-80s °F or about 18°C to 27°C), and low humidity—making it a perfect escape for people coming from colder climates. During this time, several major events turn the city into a sea of people looking to have a good time. There’s the South Beach Wine & Food Festival in February, Spring Break in March, and the Art Basel in December (among others). All these are fun, and having lots of people around is entertaining, but it can also get overwhelming for the locals. So, if you’re looking for ways to stay focused and productive when your city is bustling with people, here are a few tips. Good Nutrition Beats the Noise Good nutrition is a critical tool for anyone in a high-stimulus, crowded environment to maintain focus and productivity. That’s because it influences the body's energy and stress response systems. Fill your plate with complex carbs such as whole grains, oats, fruits, and vegetables to fuel your body with a slow, steady stream of glucose throughout the day. Your energy will remain steady, and you’ll avoid the brain fog, irritability, and decreased focus that come with blood sugar crashes. If you don’t have time to cook at home, Miami has lots of restaurants and eateries that offer healthy and nutritious delicacies . Get that Nap Rest is not necessarily just about napping, but if you have the possibility, you should try it. There’s strong evidence supporting the restorative power of naps . Otherwise, try to design your own quiet sanctuary, at home or at the office. It may help to invest in high-quality noise-canceling headphones or earplugs. These can turn a home office, crowded coffee shop, or even a walk down a busy street into a private, quiet sanctuary for deep focus. Boost Brain Power with Supplements Noisy, crowded streets and bustling restaurants and coffee shops can drain you of every ounce of energy before you even get to the office. If you find that good nutrition and rest are not helping, maybe it’s time to consider supplements. You’ll find a wide range of products made with natural ingredients that were designed to give a tired brain a boost. For example, supplements containing Polygala Tenuifolia, which is recognized as one of the 50 top herbs used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, may help you stay calm when the city becomes overwhelming. Some studies also found that Polygala Tenuifolia supports cognitive function, memory, and learning. This makes it the ideal supplement for a fast-paced environment where you need to be both calm and alert. Wrap Up At the end of the day, if you live in Miami, you must appreciate a lively city where there’s always something fun to do. So, with a bit of rest, good nutrition, and some natural supplements, there’s nothing you can’t do, even during the busiest season! By ML staff. Photo by John Benitez on Unsplash.
- Voloshyn Gallery Debuts Janet Sobel at Art Basel Miami Beach, Features Aneta Grzeszykowska Solo Show
Voloshyn Gallery will present the gallery's first exhibition at Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 (Survey, Booth S3, December 5–7), featuring a solo project of over 25 works by the Ukrainian-American artist Janet Sobel. Concurrently, the gallery’s Miami space will debut DISORDER , a solo exhibition by Polish photographer Aneta Grzeszykowska. Janet Sobel: Rediscovering a Forerunner of Abstract Expressionism Born Yevhenia Olechovska in Katerynoslav, near Dnipro, Ukraine, Janet Sobel moved to New York in 1905 following her father’s death during a Russian Army pogrom. A self-taught artist, Sobel took up painting in her late forties (around 1937 or 1938), inspired by the folk art and traditional iconography of her homeland. Despite being a housewife with no initial connections in the art sphere, her unique style, which combined traditional and modern elements, quickly attracted the attention of artists like Marc Chagall and Max Ernst. She is recognized as an early innovator of "all-over" abstraction, a technique that led critic Clement Greenberg to position her as a forerunner of Abstract Expressionism and of Jackson Pollock in particular. Sobel is celebrated for her mastery of color and multilayered compositions, with works currently held in collections such as the LACMA and the MoMA. For its inaugural presentation at Art Basel Miami Beach (Preview Hours: December 3–4, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM; Opening Hours: December 5–7, 11:00 AM–6:00 PM), Voloshyn Gallery focuses on Sobel’s series reflecting on American society and her mounting anxieties about World War Two. The selection includes somber works in hues of brown, yellow, and red, depicting soldiers, refugees, and cannons, revealing the emotional turmoil Sobel felt upon hearing about the German occupation of her Ukrainian hometown. These wartime paintings heavily draw on her distant Ukrainian childhood memories, orthodox iconography, and folk art traditions. The works, which incorporate both American and Ukrainian figures, juxtapose the familiar and the unfamiliar, creating a compelling visual statement on the global war and mirroring the experience of immigrants who visit their ancestral land only in memory. The early canvas Disappointment, c. 1943 , exemplifies Sobel’s challenging approach, collapsing figure and ground as motifs inspired by Ukrainian folk art meet an expressive, humanoid landscape. The canvas features gnarled tree branches twisting into proto-drips and fields of flowers claustrophobically enrobing haunting faces, incorporating oil and sand on canvas. Sobel continued to create and exhibit until the late 1940s, when health issues, including paint material allergies, forced her to stop. She died in Plainfield, New Jersey, in 1968. Now, her work is being rediscovered and studied, ensuring that her legacy of artistic innovation and cross-cultural expression is recognized in the art historical canon. Aneta Grzeszykowska: Unsettling Domestic Hierarchies in DISORDER Concurrently, Voloshyn Gallery will present the solo exhibition DISORDER by Polish photographer Aneta Grzeszykowska at their Miami flagship (802 NW 22nd St.), on view from November 30, 2025, through January 10, 2026. In DISORDER , Grzeszykowska engages with her immediate domestic environment—family, animals, and her own body—to challenge conventional household hierarchies. Through staged scenarios, she unsettles categories such as human/animal, life/death, and youth/age by introducing shifts in roles and identities. The work explores the intersections of control, kinship, and subjectivity. The exhibition features several series, including: THE DAUGHTER (2025): A new body of work where Grzeszykowska wears a hyperrealistic mask of her own face at the age of fourteen, reconstructed from archival family photographs. Used in performative photographs with relatives, the mask enables her to reframe her place within domestic dynamics, highlighting themes of memory, identity, and temporality. DOMESTIC ANIMALS (2022): Photographs where pigskin masks of the artist’s face are fitted onto her dogs, examining ideas of recognition, projection, and estrangement. MAMA (2018): Features a hyperrealistic silicone replica of the artist, created with professional fabricators. Photographed alongside her daughter, the figure functions as both surrogate and object, raising questions about representation and the unstable boundary between person and image. Grzeszykowska continues her investigation into selfhood, mortality, and the shifting relationships among human, animal, and object through these uncanny juxtapositions. By ML Staff.
