The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs invites you to a special tour of site-specific commissions and exhibitions at the new Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center. This event, scheduled for Saturday, December 6 at 9:30 AM, offers an opportunity to explore new monumental public artworks in Downtown Miami.
New Commissions
The site-specific commissions showcased include works by acclaimed artists such as Loriel Beltrán, Edouard Duval-Carrié, Loni Johnson, Karen Rifas, Morel Doucet, Beverly Acha, and others. These artworks are installed throughout the facility, enhancing the courthouse's architecture.
Event Significance
This tour marks the final event for the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders program in 2025 and celebrates its 20th anniversary. Participants will gain insights into how public art shapes the Miami-Dade built environment, and have the chance to meet artists and the Art in Public Places team.
