  • Modern Amazons Grace Dior Spring-Summer 2025 Show

For the Dior Spring-Summer 2025 collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri continues to explore the meaning of the garment, the relationship between the body and what dresses it, and the power of femininity. Presented at the Musée Rodin in Paris, the silhouettes were joined on the catwalk by athlete and artist SAGG Napoli for an archery-themed performance piece.  The Amazone dress conceived by Christian Dior for autumn-winter 1951-1952 caught the attention of the Creative Director for women’s collections in archives. Reinterpreting the cuts of the original creation inspired by the mythological female figure, Maria Grazia Chiuri sent out bold and edgy silhouettes. A predominance of black and white alongside checks and horizontal or vertical lines created a hypnotic effect, and the Miss Dior logo is elongated to the extreme. The bright red accents of leather bomber jackets serve as a counterpoint to the interplay of dualities. Off-the-shoulder asymmetric cuts highlighted the shoulder-slung bags of the modern-day Amazons. Silhouettes adopted sporty codes as sandals morphed into shin guard sneakers. Bodysuits are unadorned or elevated with shimmering fringe, celebrating the feminine body, while jersey accompanies lightweight evening dresses. Belts, straps and draping highlight the waist without ever constraining. Artist SAGG Napoli’s emblematic phrase resonated with the collection on the runway: “May the building of a strong mind and a strong body be the greatest work I have ever made.” The artist-athlete’s archery performance underscored the harmony between body and mind, an affirmation of powerful contemporary femininity that exalts assertive courage and style.    ML Staff. • Inter Miami CF II Falls at Home Against Crown Legacy FC

Inter Miami CF II was defeated at home against Crown Legacy FC in another afternoon of MLS NEXT Pro action. The team played the second half with 10 men after a red card. The match featured a goal from Yuvan Cohen, as well as Mateo Saja’s first professional goal. Inter Miami CF II, coached by Federico Higuaín, took to the field in a 4-3-3 formation with Cole Jensen in goal; captain Nykolas Sessock, Ryan Sailor, Giovanni Ferraina, and Samuel Basabe in defense; Lawson Sunderland, Ricardo Montenegro, and Jose Casas formed the midfield; while Alejandro Flores and Ryan Carmichael flanked striker Cohen Yuval in attack. For the first 15 minutes of the match, Inter Miami II created a couple of chances from the flanks, notably a great opportunity generated by defender Basabe. In the 17th minute, the visitors scored from an inswinging corner which was tapped in to make the score 0-1. Inter Miami faced more challenges in the 31st minute when Crown Legacy doubled their lead, once again from a set piece that found a header inside the six-yard box. Inter Miami responded immediately when forward Cohen scored his fifth goal of the season after capitalizing on a short pass from the opposing defense and converted the one-on-one to halve the deficit. Crown Legacy, with a long-distance shot, struck again against the Herons to go into halftime with a 1-3 lead. During the added time of the first half, Inter Miami was reduced to 10 men following the red card of midfielder Casas after a foul at the edge of the penalty area. The second half was a continuation of the first where the visitors dominated the game and capitalized its opportunities. In the 76’ minute, Mateo Saja scored his first professional goal but it was not enough to help the team overcome the deficit. This result places Inter Miami in fourth position of the Eastern Conference with 45 points coming from 13 wins, eight losses, and six draws. Up next, Inter Miami CF II will visit Carolina Core FC for its final match of the 2024 regular season, where securing a point would guarantee the Herons a playoff spot. By ML Staff. • Transforming Spaces: An Exclusive Interview with Alison Victoria

In this exclusive interview with Miami Living Magazine, we have the pleasure of sitting down with Alison Victoria, the dynamic Founder and President of Alison Victoria Interiors. Known for her exceptional fusion of vintage charm, glamour, and modern design, Alison has made a significant impact in the world of interior design and television. From transforming over 113 kitchens on HGTV’s "Kitchen Crashers" to breathing new life into Chicago’s properties on "Windy City Rehab," her innovative approach has captivated audiences and clients alike. Recently, Alison has taken her creative vision to new heights with the launch of Briefly Gorgeous Productions, a venture dedicated to bringing authenticity and emotional depth to reality TV. Join us as we delve into her remarkable journey, her latest projects, and how she balances her busy career with her passion for fitness and philanthropy. Miami Living (ML): Alison, such a pleasure to have you with us today. You’ve created a remarkable blend of glamour and modernity in your designs and TV shows. As we dive into your work, could you tell us what initially sparked your passion for interior design, and how that passion has evolved over the years?  Alison: Design is a constant evolution, and I’ve finally reached a point in my life, where people can look at my work and recognize it as distinctly "Alison Victoria," even without knowing I created it. This realization has been a long journey, but it reinforces the importance of staying true to my beliefs and processes. I do not seek or follow trends; instead, I focus on what feels right for both myself and my clients. Collaboration is key, as I prioritize listening to their needs and preferences. Ultimately, my work is an ever-changing experience, evolving with each project and home I design. ML: You’ve been a prominent figure on HGTV with acclaimed shows like Kitchen Crashers  and Windy City Rehab . What are some key lessons you learned from working on such diverse and high-profile projects?  Alison: The key to my longevity with the network has been my commitment to authenticity. In today’s world, where audiences are more discerning than ever—especially on social media—they can easily see through it. It’s essential to understand that not everyone will connect with you, and that’s perfectly okay. What I know for certain is that I have never compromised my authenticity since the very beginning of my career. I’ve always embraced my true self, refusing to let others dictate my style or alter who I am. I wasn’t placed into a role; I embodied it, and the show was built around my identity. It’s been incredible to witness my evolution, from working on Kitchen Crashers , which was very structured and formulaic, to pitching my show, Windy City Rehab , where I became the creative force behind the narrative and its execution. Authenticity is a cornerstone of our industry—it’s a word we use frequently because it holds profound significance. I encourage aspiring professionals to remain true to themselves. Don’t morph into someone you’re not, and don’t exaggerate your persona unless it genuinely reflects who you are. Ultimately, your success will hinge on your ability to connect with your audience. While your designs are important, it’s your everyday authenticity that truly resonates. ML: With all your successful TV shows and design projects, what's one project that still makes you smile every time you think about it?  Alison: Each show I’ve worked on holds a unique significance for me, reflecting different moments in my life, locations across the country, or the wonderful individuals I've collaborated with. After 14 years in this industry, I’ve participated in a remarkable number of episodes and shows, making it difficult to select just one as a favorite. My career has been filled with numerous highlights. One particularly memorable experience was working on the Barbie project with my close friend TY Pennington. He truly feels like a brother to me, and our time together is always filled with laughter. It's moments like these that prompt me to reflect on my journey with a sense of gratitude and wonder, often thinking, "How is this my reality? How did I become so fortunate?" ML: What's one design tip or trick to make their home feel more stylish and inviting?  Alison: For me, white paint serves as an ideal foundation; it’s like a blank canvas inviting you to express your personality through art, lighting, and accessories. Allow the artwork, lighting, furniture, accessories, and area rugs to take center stage and truly shine in the space. ML: Your collaboration with the Chicago Refugee Coalition to design the Life Harbor Academy - a preschool dedicated to providing educational care for refugee and migrant children - is truly impactful. What inspired you to get involved with this project, and how do you envision the design contributing to the children’s educational and emotional well-being?  Alison: My involvement with the coalition began through my boyfriend, Brandt Anderson. When we started dating, I had the opportunity to see his film,  The Strangers Case , which he wrote and directed. The film addresses the Syrian refugee crisis, and it profoundly inspired me to take action. Prior to this, I had dedicated most of my time and resources to supporting a no-kill shelter in Chicago, but seeing Brandt’s film made me realize I could do more. At that time, we were screening the film in Chicago, and I reached out to the head of the coalition, Alisa, to invite her to watch it. After meeting her, I expressed my desire to help and asked, "How can I contribute?" She invited me to design a school, and I am excited to be in the early stages of this project. It’s an incredible honor to know that I can make a significant impact on the lives of these children. I am actively seeking donations of various products to ensure that more funding can be allocated directly to the children. The design of the school will create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment—one that is ready for learning and ripe with opportunities that these kids might not have otherwise had. Being able to play a small role in their success is truly fulfilling. These are not just strangers; they are our neighbors, and it is our responsibility to welcome them home to Chicago. ML: With your demanding schedule, long hours on set, and constant travel, staying fit can be challenging. What are some of your go-to fitness routines or strategies for making the most of your limited time, and how do you stay motivated to maintain your health and wellness on the go?  Alison: First and foremost, sleep is essential to my well-being; it’s the most important aspect of my routine. I aim for about nine hours each night, and if I don’t achieve that, I just don’t feel right. Additionally, I prioritize my fitness through Lagree Fitness. No matter where I am, I make it a point to find a studio and work out five days a week. When I’m traveling and can’t access a studio, I adapt by working out in my hotel room or trailer. My routine is straightforward: I complete 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 air squats, which is sufficient to get my body moving. I also focus on consuming plenty of protein, whether through shakes or protein bites. ML: You've worked on so many diverse projects. Is there a specific space you’d love to design someday that you haven’t had the chance yet?  My dream is to design a flat in Paris, and ideally, I envision owning it. This aspiration is an ultimate goal, and would love to turn this dream into a reality soon. Social Media: Instagram Facebook HGTV Profile   By ML Staff. Images courtesy of Sarah Barlow

  • Gucci Presents Women's SS25 Fashion Show

Gucci continues and evolves its relationship with the Triennale, further intertwining its identity with the values embodied by the museum: the commitment to an open and inclusive cultural dialogue and the mission of bringing together art, design, architecture and contemporary views.   After celebrating its spaces with the men’s show, the new Cuore archive in particular, they are now transformed into a long corridor of colors, that, starting from white, leads all the way to Gucci Rosso Ancora. With hues of a summer’s sunset, the space is divided into rooms, each of a different tone, able to create a unique experience, an unrepeatable moment. “A precise moment in time. A moment to seize and live to the fullest. It’s the moment the sun dives into the sea at the end of an August day. It’s the moment we find ourselves. This collection is a tribute to those moments, and an invitation to stop, seek your own moment.” Sabato De Sarno “A year later, this collection shows an accomplished journey of construction. Moment after moment, I have built my ideas for Gucci. A casual grandeur that takes shape through my obsessions - tailoring, lingerie, leather, 60’s silhouettes, all combined with the tireless exploration of the heritage of this brand - and always with an irreverent attitude.” Sabato De Sarno   Obsessions. Opening the show is tailoring, in its most essential yet never ordinary version, with trousers cut on the sneakers, merging the women’s wardrobe with the men’s. The color palette includes grey, Gucci Rosso Ancora, white, tones of green, and a touch of orange. Silhouettes are a homage to the 60’s, with structured jackets, shorts, and A-line skirts. The grand coats with a couture attitude, of the finest construction, bring new vigor to the GG Monogram. Designed for the everyday, therefore worn effortlessly with denim and a tank top. The leather, with a glossy finish, is already part of our DNA. The lingerie peeps through the lace dresses and the slightly open coats. The exploration of the heritage. Because that casual grandeur has been part of Gucci since the very beginning. The Gucci Bamboo 1947 is the star, with the bag in its original design and new contemporary details created by skillful artisans working with leather, lacquer, and Plexiglas. Bamboo inspires jewelry as well, imitating its shape and developing and intertwining on the body. The same jewels tie the flowing jersey dresses inspired by the 90’s, as well as the square-toe platforms. New handbags with bamboo details alternate on the runway with mini silhouettes and the Gucci 73 bucket bag with the Horsebit on the side, but we also see the new Gucci Go bag, structured, compact, to wear everywhere. Appearing on the runway, one-of-a-kind Gucci Bamboo 1947 bags reimagined by Japanese artists as part of a collaborative project to celebrate 60 years of Gucci in Japan. The Horsebit remains a central element for shoes, evolving from the iconic Horsebit 1953 loafers into platforms, creepers, ballerinas and ankle boots. Now featured on a flat boot, soft and enveloping with a 60’s attitude, the same attitude as the wrap-around sunglasses with gradient lenses in the colors of the collection.   Finally, the Gucci Flora foulard, tied as headscarf, in its original version as designed by illustrator Vittorio Accornero de Testa: nine bouquets on a white background and a contrasting frame. Reimagined as a canvas, through the tone-on-tone chromatic choices that follow the color palette of the collection. By ML Staff. Image Courtesy of Gucci
