- Sanders Named AFC Special Teams Player Of The Month
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for his performance in December and January, the NFL announced. It is the fifth career AFC Special Teams Player of the Month award for Sanders and marks the second time he has earned the nod in back-to-back months. He was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November 2024, October and November 2020 and December 2019. Sanders is one of only seven players in NFL history, and one of four in the AFC, to earn the Special Teams Player of the Month award at least five times in his career. Sanders is the fourth player in NFL history to earn the Special Teams Player of the Month award in back-to-back occasions within the same season, and the only one to do so twice in his career. He is also one of two players in Dolphins history to earn Player of the Month honors consecutively, joining defensive end Jason Taylor who won it in October and November 2002, and the only player to win it in back-to-back months on two occasions. Sanders converted 15-of-15 field goals (100.0 pct.), including five from 50-plus yards, and six-of-eight extra points for a total of 51 points across the months of December and January. His 15 field goals, and his five from 50-plus yards, were both the most in the NFL in that span. In Miami's Week 14 matchup against the N.Y. Jets, he kicked four field goals, including a 52-yarder with seven seconds remaining in the game to send the contest to overtime for an eventual Miami win. It marked his second game-tying or game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter this season and the 10th of his career. Sanders had one of the best outings of his career in Week 16 against San Francisco, converting five-of-five field goal attempts, including a 54-yarder, and adding two extra points to finish the day with 17 points. He not only tied the total points scored by the 49ers in the game, but single-handedly outscored five teams in Week 16 and tied two others. Sanders reached 800 career points against San Francisco, becoming the third Dolphin to reach the benchmark and the fastest to do so in 114 games. He also surpassed 22-consecutive field goals made in that game, a streak that started in Week 8, breaking his own franchise record. He went on to finish the season with 27-straight field goals without a miss, which is the longest active streak in the NFL. His Week 16 performance against the 49ers made him the only AFC kicker, and one of two in the NFL, to make five field goals in a game across December and January. He was the only kicker in the NFL to make a field goal in every game in the 2024 regular season. Sanders finished the 2024 season with 37-of-41 field goals made (90.2 pct.) while converting 26-of-28 extra point attempts (92.9 pct.) for a total of 137 points scored. His 37 field goals ranked fourth in the NFL and are the second-most in franchise history. Meanwhile, his 137 points ranked eighth in the league this year and third in Dolphins history. Out of his 37 field goals made, 12 were from 50-plus yards, the most in a single season in franchise history and the fourth-most in the NFL this year. Sanders has kicked nine-consecutive field goals from 50-plus yards, which is the longest active streak in the NFL and second longest in Dolphins history to his own record of 10-straight kicks across 2019 and 2020. - Dior Presents Dior in Scotland Documentary, a Behind-The-Scenes Look At the Dior 2024 Cruise Show
Dior has unveiled Dior in Scotland a behind-the-scenes look at its 2025 Cruise Show, presented in June 2024 in Scotland’s famous Drummond Castle gardens Maria Grazia Chiuri celebrates Scotland’s captivating textile heritage in the collection, initiating collaborations that revive the ties Monsieur Dior had forged with the country since the very beginnings of his House. The film retraces the creative process of Dior’s Creative Director, from initial inspirations during a tantalizing immersion in the House’s Parisian archives to the runway show, including enriching exchanges with Scottish artisans. It reveals the perfect harmony between meticulous gestures in the Dior ateliers and exceptional savoir-faire in revisiting traditional kilts and tartans. This journey across eras and regions is elevated by feminist historian Clare Hunter and her essay Embroidering Her Truth: Mary, Queen of Scots and the Language of Power , which explores the destiny of Mary Stuart, a sovereign figure whose resilience becomes the Ariadne’s thread for the Cruise Collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri showcases Scotland’s rich heritage, underscoring the importance and boundless diversity of its ancestral culture, from Harris Tweed Hebrides and Johnstons of Elgin, to artist Pollyanna Johnson and the founders of the brand Le Kilt. These creative dialogues come to life in the different virtuoso Dior silhouettes. Available on the Dior YouTube channel since early December, this fabulous odyssey becomes a poetic homage to the magic of creation in myriad forms. ML Staff. Content/image(s) courtesy of LVMH

- Tips For Keeping Your Casino Games Fun and Safe
Casino games have been a source of entertainment for centuries. The appeal of these games is in their mix of chance, strategy and the possibility of financial gain. However, it's important to approach gambling with a balanced perspective and understand both its entertainment value and potential risks. Image by bluebeat76 / Adobestock Fortunately, all you need is some simple tips and common sense. 7 Tips to Keep your Casino Gaming Experience Fun and Light Playing casino games online is an easy hobby for many. After a rough day at work, it’s enjoyable to come home and sit down for a few minutes of wind-down time playing some popular casino games like roulette, slots, poker or sweepstakes games. However, whenever real money is involved, you should take all possible precautions to make sure you and your money are safe. As we all know, responsible gaming is at the forefront of all gambling, so taking steps to make sure you can keep casino games fun and light is very important. Below, we look at seven easy tips anyone can use to make their gaming experience better and safer. Budget Establishing a budget is the first step for responsible gambling. Don’t be fooled though, you shouldn’t just pick a number and go with it. Instead, you should take a good look at your finances and decide on a realistic number. Consider using budget calculators and expense tracking apps to get a clear picture of your disposable income. You should only play with money you can afford to lose. Setting both short-term and long-term gaming goals can help you stick to your budget. For example, you might decide on a limit for a casino visit, as well as a limit for the month or year for how much you will spend gambling. It helps keep things in perspective and prevents overspending. Know The Rules The second step is to familiarize yourself with the game’s rules to ensure you know what to expect. Some of the most popular casino games include blackjack, roulette, poker and slots. You can start by watching other people play or even watch videos on YouTube or other streaming platforms. Also, all casinos list the rules of the games so you can learn them before you enter the game and place your bet. One of the latest trends in online gaming is social games, which are more commonly known as sweepstake casinos. These sites tend to have their own unique rules and games, so keeping up to date with the rules can be a little more tricky. We recommend consulting a review. A review can help you learn about a site’s features and rules, and get an idea of the platform’s specialty. As we can see from SweepstakesCasino’s review of Sportzino Casino, Sportzino specializes in sports betting features such as live sports betting and in-game predictions. Know When To Stop Recognizing the signs of problematic gambling behavior is important. Pay attention to psychological cues like preoccupation with gambling during times when you’re not gambling, feeling irritable or restless when attempting to cut back, gambling to escape problems or when feeling down, lying about the extent of your gambling and jeopardizing relationships or career opportunities because of gambling. It’s important to take breaks. Take breaks during your gaming sessions and remember to take time off from playing altogether to enjoy other aspects of life. If you feel like it’s hard to take breaks or stop, you should contact an organization that promotes responsible gambling that can help with gambling-related issues. They are a big help for anyone who’s unsure about their limits. Utilize Reputable Casinos Choosing a high-quality, safe casino is very important to make sure your gaming experience is positive and that you don’t get bamboozled out of your money. Check whether the casino holds a valid license from a well-known authority like the UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority or Nevada Gaming Control Board. You can usually find this information on the footer of the casino’s homepage. You should take a peek at casino reviews, because reputable review sites and player experiences can provide a lot of information about a casino’s safety. However, be sure to inspect the casino yourself as well, and pay attention to available payment methods, bonuses, casino game selection and customer service options. Image by producer / Adobestock Keep It Social The social aspect of gambling can add to the fun and help keep things responsible. You can plan theme nights, such as a James Bond casino night or a Wild West poker night. Ask for suggestions from your friends too. You could organize charity nights where gambling profits go to a good cause or run skills workshops to learn new games or strategies together. Promote social responsibility within your gambling circle. Encourage open discussions about gambling habits and support each other in maintaining healthy boundaries. Remember to try out social casinos too, because they allow you to play fun casino games without putting your money at risk. Safeguard Personal Information Safeguarding your personal information is one of the most important things to do anywhere online, but especially when money is involved. Many online casinos use SSL encryption to secure all data transmissions, two-factor authentication for account access and regular third-party security audits. However, don’t trust the casinos to independently take care of your security. For your personal security, use strong, unique passwords for each gambling account, avoid public Wi-Fi when accessing online casinos and keep your software and antivirus programs updated. Gather Information The gambling industry is constantly changing due to technological developments. Keep yourself informed about mobile gambling apps, their features, new digital payment methods including cryptocurrencies, virtual and augmented reality gambling experiences and changes in gambling laws and regulations. Keep up with gaming news by reading articles and reviews and follow casinos on social media. You’ll also get useful information by chatting with other players, reading forums and asking other players questions. By ML Staff. Images courtesy of Adobestock
- Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami’s Current Exhibitions on View: Lucy Bull, Marguerite Humeau, Ding Shilun
Ding Shilun, “Man in a Shell,” 2024. Oil on linen. 90 ½ x 74 ¾ in. Courtesy of the artist and Bernheim Gallery, London and Zurich. Photo credit: Eva Herzog “Ding Shilun: Janus” comprises newly commissioned paintings and a site-specific installation in the artist’s first solo US museum exhibition. Shilun’s ethereal and at times ominous works feature idiosyncratic mythologies inspired by his everyday life. Each painting acts as an individual vignette, depicting self-contained and often ambiguous scenes that utilize figuration to convey rousing emotion and simple anecdotes rather than elaborate narratives. Shilun refers to this storytelling as a “personal fable”; the protagonists of his paintings are avatars of the artist, which he refers to as “projections and embodiments of my inner self, reflecting my confusion living across different cultures and ideologies, as well as my desire to construct my own reality.” The show takes its title “Janus,” from the Roman god of beginnings and endings, chosen by the artist to evoke this paradox in his works. Photo: Oriol Tarridas ICA Miami presents “\*sk\*/ey-,” the first major solo exhibition for artist Marguerite Humeau. This immersive installation comprises newly commissioned sculptures and video that sees the artist experiment with form through the abstract narratives of alternative worlds. The exhibition takes its title from the antiquated, proto-Indo-European term for shedding or splitting, “sk-ey,” alluding to a mysterious mutation of the Earth. Humeau creates a world gripped by metamorphosis, in which soil is peeling off the Earth and transmuting into flying nomadic beings. The exhibition opens with a video that relays the cosmology of a human-made eternal sun, a great migration, and the transformation of earthbound life forms into rootless, nomadic inhabitants of the sky. The video’s soundtrack echoes a transforming landscape through evocative melodies that, at times, break into visceral, rhythmic noises. The installation evokes a desert landscape with sculptures throughout the space that appear to have torn themselves from the ground wrought from organic material like 150-year-old carved walnut, cast rubber, handblown glass, and semi-translucent embellished silk. Photo credit: Elon Schoenholz Lucy Bull’s first U.S. museum exhibition, “The Garden of Forking Paths” includes sixteen paintings produced between 2019 and 2024. A singular voice in contemporary abstract painting, Bull’s dynamic practice explores the formal and experiential concerns of the medium. Through a dynamic application of paint, Bull choreographs energetic gestures into eruptive fields of pictorial activity. In her works, exuberant colors and elusive forms, reference and atmosphere, density and transparency are in constant tension. These expansive works inaugurate a new field of exploration for the artist and are brought together for the first time here. Alongside these, the exhibition includes a number of vertical paintings that continue the artist’s pictorial research over the last decade. Bull’s works sit at the edge of language. In them, the macroscopic and the microscopic tend to swap places, as landscapes often morph into depictions of internal psychic spaces. Worlds congeal momentarily in her paintings, only to surrender again to a dynamic of constant transformation. Bull’s works are enlivened by modulating emotional temperatures and by the courting of far-reaching associations. Ultimately, they push viewers’ awareness of looking to the forefront: optical overload and disruptive dissonance move typical perception into a hypersensitive mode. In parallel to the exhibition, Bull will create the next stairwell commission at ICA Miami, which will be on view through September 2025. By ML Staff.
