  • Renovations & Refreshes with IPC Miam Beach: Maximizing Your Property’s Potential

As the high season in Miami slows down, now is the perfect time for homeowners to tackle home renovations and refreshes. Many homeowners are heading back North, offering an ideal window to address those long-awaited projects. Whether it’s a simple update or a full-scale renovation, this is when properties can be upgraded without the usual rush of seasonal activity. That’s where IPC Miami Beach (IPC) comes in. Image by Alexandre Zveiger Founded in 2005 and based in Miami Beach, IPC has established itself as a leading home management company specializing in luxury residences and condos across South Florida. The company caters to busy or absentee homeowners, providing peace of mind by safeguarding their real estate assets and offering a wide range of services, from home management and personalized cleaning to renovation project management and severe weather preparation. Miami Living sat down with Carlos Castro, the CEO of IPC to learn more the importance of keeping your home up to date. Carlos Castro Miami Living: Carlos, as the high season in Miami winds down, why is this the ideal time for homeowners to tackle renovation and refresh projects? Carlos: During the off-season, many homeowners are away, making it the perfect time to carry out renovations. Tackling projects in the summer avoids the stress and disruption that comes with construction work while they are home. Additionally, coming back to a freshly renovated home can feel incredibly rewarding, especially when the results exceed expectations. ML: What are some common home renovation projects that homeowners should consider when preparing for the upcoming season? Castro: It really depends on the homeowner’s needs, but common projects include painting, which can address any existing issues, as well as bathroom or kitchen upgrades. Summer is a great time to take care of these updates, whether it’s for maintenance or simply refreshing the space. ML: How can IPC assist homeowners with exterior enhancements, such as power washing (also known as pressure washing), or landscaping updates while they are away? Castro: IPC can help with power washing to ensure the property is looking its best for their return. If homeowners want to update their landscaping, we can either work with a landscaping company or hire a designer to refresh or replace plants as needed. ML: What sets IPC apart in terms of renovation management and overseeing these projects from start to finish? Castro: We stand out by being transparent with costs and offering flexible options for how clients prefer to work. We manage all vendors, ensure the quality of the work, monitor the project timeline, maintain daily cleanliness and organization, and provide regular updates on progress to keep clients informed throughout the renovation. ML: How does IPC ensure homeowners’ renovation projects align with their vision, especially when they are away? Castro: We stay in constant communication with our clients, closely monitoring their project to ensure that both quality and functionality meet their expectations. This attention to detail helps us bring their vision to life, even when they are not present. ML: For homeowners looking to get started on their renovation projects, what would you recommend as the first step in creating a successful project list and timeline? Castro: The first step is to establish a clear timeline, including vendor availability and materials required. Having these in place will help ensure the project runs smoothly. Additionally, regular follow-ups with vendors are essential to stay on track and make adjustments if necessary. With the season winding down, it’s the perfect time to refresh your home, and IPC Miami Beach makes the process effortless. Whether updating interiors or enhancing curb appeal, their team ensures your vision comes to life, even while you’re away. With transparent communication and expert project management, IPC handles everything from start to finish, so your home is ready when you return. • Marsha Glazière: Art with Purpose

Marsha Glazière is a visionary artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries, blending painting, sculpture, and mixed-media to create compelling social commentary. With a BFA from the University of Illinois and advanced studies including Anatomical Study at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Master Painting Study with renowned artist Nathan Oliveira, she has spent decades refining her bold artistic voice. Inspired by nature, justice, and human resilience, her work challenges perceptions and invites deeper reflection. Her distinctive style fuses vivid colors, dynamic textures, and found objects, transforming everyday materials into thought-provoking compositions. Pieces like QUAKE, created during the pandemic, capture the fragility of existence, while HUMAN TAPESTRY confronts global inequality through life-sized figures draped in their nation’s flags. Her sculptural works, including THE FINISH LINE, push artistic boundaries, combining anatomical precision with expressive movement, informed by her studies at the University of Washington School of Medicine and years of modern dance training. Glazière’s commitment to activism through art is unwavering. She has dedicated her career to raising awareness of pressing social issues, advocating for environmental sustainability, and championing marginalized voices. Her work with disadvantaged youth, from artist residencies in Seattle Public Schools to piloting arts programs, underscores her belief that art should be inclusive and transformative. By integrating recycled materials like metal, glass, and natural elements into her work, she not only reinforces her environmental values but also infuses her pieces with a sense of raw authenticity. Glazière’s large-scale paintings dramatically synthesize the recognizable in a semi-abstract style while eloquently mixing media with metaphor. Her recent memoir, My Father, Picasso and ME, is a historical rarity since very few female visual artists have written about themselves. It explores her artistic evolution and the influence of her complex father. It reflects on the challenges faced by female artists and the struggle to forge an independent creative identity. The book offers an intimate look at her life’s journey—one shaped by artistic passion, personal resilience, and a determination to leave a lasting impact. Glazière’s work has been featured in over 150 exhibitions across the U.S. and Europe, with notable collections including the NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale and Regions Bank in Florida. Major commissions range from the bronze statue Heading for Home, commemorating the Negro Baseball League, to architectural friezes and murals spanning from Jacksonville to Mexico, the Caribbean—specifically Grenada, West Indies and Oaxaca, Mexico. Through her paintings, sculptures, and literary works, Marsha Glazière continues to inspire and provoke thought, proving that art is not just an aesthetic pursuit. It is a powerful tool for change.
