  • Surf Legend Kai Lenny Cuts Waves With Alinghi Red Bull Racing

Known for his prowess in big-wave riding and pioneering countless water sports, Kai Lenny's visit to the Alinghi Red Bull Racing base introduced him to a new realm on the water as he sailed the team's cutting-edge hydrofoil yachts. Providing hydraulic power as a cyclor onboard the AC75 BoatOne, Lenny experienced firsthand the immense power and speed of these technological marvels, which travel upwards of 100km/h. "Every turn you make, whether it's a tack or a gybe, the g-force pulling you around makes it feel like you're in a Formula One car," he said. "There's nothing like it. Compared to other wind sports, it's like going from go-karts to Formula One." The surf champion, who regularly rides 80-foot waves, had his sailing skills put to the test when he took control of the AC40. After some challenging preparation in the high-tech simulator, his natural instincts kicked in once on the water. "To be able to go 40 knots downwind, it's just an insane feeling," Lenny enthused. "The only other place I get to go over 40 knots is on a giant wave and that happens only a couple times a year." Not one to miss an opportunity, Lenny brought out his wing foil for a session alongside the AC75. It was a stark contrast in size and speed, as he described: "When you're winging, you feel like a chicken and then a tiger comes running past you. BoatOne is so much faster, probably almost three times the speed of what I'm doing on the wing." Alinghi Red Bull Racing helmsman Maxime Bachelin was thrilled to share the water with the Hawaiian surf icon: "We all know Kai Lenny is a legend of watersports. He was one of the first to do wing foiling – and many of us on the team are wing foilers too – so seeing him do backflips and tricks next to us was quite incredible." Beyond the thrill of sailing, Lenny was fascinated by the design and technology aspects of the America's Cup campaign. "I take a lot of inspiration when I come here," he noted. "These campaigns attract the smartest people in the world to design and manufacture the boat. When you bring the two worlds of athletes and designers together, you can create greatness." The visit was a unique opportunity for both Lenny and the Alinghi Red Bull Racing team to learn from each other. As the first guest to be invited onto both the AC40 and AC75, Lenny's experience at the Base bridged the worlds of sailing and surfing, offering inspiration to the Swiss team as they prepare for the upcoming race season. EXTRA QUOTES Kai Lenny, Water Sports Champion: "I never thought I'd ever be able to do something like this. To be given the chance to actually do it, it's a bucket list thing. I was nervous, it was a bit scary, but it was a 10 out of 10 experience and I'll remember this forever. You get onto the fastest sailboats on earth with the best sailors in the world and you're able to experience something on the water that's so unique. You feel like you're in a jet plane. It almost no longer feels like sailing, it feels like flying. That's always been my favourite thing about water sports and all these beach toys like windsurfing, kiting, winging and foiling. You can harness the wind, ride across the water, feel the swells with the foils, but you're also flying and the dream is to always be flying. The art of flight is always something on our minds as humans." Maxime Bachelin, Helmsman, Alinghi Red Bull Racing: "Kai was a really great crew member. Onboard it was just like being out on a normal training day, and it was really inspiring to see how quickly he picked everything up. Hand his experience in water sports clearly gave him the edge onboard in understanding the dynamics of the boat. To have one of the world's best watermen here with us, we were really happy to share our world with him and everything we're doing on the AC75." By ML Staff. Content/Image courtesy of RedBull

  • From the War of 1812 to Modern Wellness: The Unique Heritage Behind Spruce CBD

Image by EKKAPON / Adobestock With no shortage of products and brands jostling for position in the market, Spruce CBD stands apart with a heritage as rich and unique as its offerings. The story begins not in a modern laboratory, but on the battlefields of the War of 1812. It was at this pivotal moment in America’s history when a particular strain of hemp made its way to the United States. But this wasn't just any old hemp. It was robust and potent — a variety that would go on to become the foundation of Spruce CBD's product line over two centuries later. Tony Spencer, founder of Spruce CBD , explains: "Our hemp strain has a lineage tracing back to the War of 1812. This heirloom variety, cultivated for generations on family farms in Kentucky and North Carolina, boasts a terpene profile unlike any other." Image by surasak / Adobestock It is this unique terpene composition that sets Spruce CBD apart in terms of potency and effectiveness. Terpenes, the aromatic compounds found in plants, play a crucial role in the efficacy of CBD products. Spruce has embraced this rich heritage, combining it with modern extraction methods to create CBD products of unparalleled quality. The company uses a moonshine extraction process, a nod to American ingenuity and tradition, which helps preserve the full spectrum of beneficial compounds found in their hemp. "We're not just selling CBD," Spencer notes. "We're continuing a legacy of natural wellness that has stood the test of time. Our moonshine extraction process is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation." The result is full-spectrum CBD products that harness the power of the "entourage effect" — the synergistic interaction of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other plant compounds that enhance CBD's overall impact. Spruce's commitment to quality extends beyond their unique strain and extraction process. They partner directly with the family farms that have been cultivating this hemp for generations, ensuring sustainable practices and consistently high-quality crops. Every batch of their products undergoes rigorous third-party testing for potency and purity. Image by Hanna Aibetova / Adobestock Spencer emphasizes, "In a market flooded with mass-produced CBD, we offer something truly special: a lineage that can be traced back to the early days of American history, combined with cutting-edge science to meet the wellness needs of today's consumers." And as the wellness industry looks to the future, Spruce CBD remains rooted in its unique past. From oils to gummies, every Spruce CBD product carries with it this extraordinary heritage. The company offers products that not only meet the highest standards of quality but also tell a story — a story of resilience, innovation, and the enduring power of nature to enhance human wellbeing. • Why Investing in Quality Functional Clothing is The Best Thing You Can Do

In the world of fashion, there’s a constant battle between style and practicality. But what if you didn’t have to choose between the two? Investing in quality functional clothing can give you the best of both worlds. Not only do these pieces look great, but they also serve a practical purpose, making your wardrobe work harder for you. Let’s dive into why quality functional clothing is a smart choice and how it can benefit you in the long run. The Benefits of Quality Functional Clothing When it comes to clothing, quality isn’t just about how a piece looks; it’s about how it performs and lasts. One of the biggest advantages of investing in high-quality functional clothing is durability. Quality materials and craftsmanship mean your clothes will stand the test of time, so you won’t have to replace them as often. Think of fabrics like high-grade wool, sturdy denim, or moisture-wicking synthetics—they’re built to last and look good doing it. Comfort and performance are also key factors. High-quality clothes often use advanced fabrics and thoughtful design features that enhance comfort and wearability. For instance, a well-made jacket can keep you warm without overheating, while breathable materials can help you stay cool and dry. It’s about more than just feeling good; it’s about looking and performing your best in various situations. For instance, Luxeire  is a fantastic brand that’s all about creating functional yet beautiful clothing. Check out their items, which combine style and comfort. Another advantage of quality pieces is their timeless style. Instead of following fleeting trends, investing in classic, well-made items means you’re more likely to have wardrobe staples that don’t go out of fashion. A perfectly tailored blazer or a classic pair of jeans can serve you well for years, making them a worthwhile addition to your closet. Financial Wisdom: Cost-Per-Wear Analysis Now, let’s talk dollars and cents. Investing in quality functional clothing might seem like a splurge initially, but it’s actually a smart financial move. When you break down the cost-per-wear, high-quality items often turn out to be more economical in the long run. Imagine spending a bit more on a well-made coat that lasts for a decade versus buying a cheaper one every couple of years. Over time, those costs add up, and you might find you’re saving money by choosing quality from the start. Additionally, versatile clothing can offer great economic benefits. Items that can be dressed up or down and serve multiple purposes reduce the need for a large wardrobe. For example, a chic black dress that can be worn to work, a formal event, or even a casual outing can replace several other pieces, ultimately saving you money  and closet space. Elements You Want for Functional Clothing Not all clothing will be a great choice for your lifestyle. If you want to ensure that these items are really going to be functional, you need to ensure you do some investigation. There are brands out there that do a better job at perfecting their collections and ensuring that you get a lot of benefits out of them. From being lightweight and comfortable to having UV protection, let’s take a look at a few things you want to see when you’re shopping for functional clothing pieces. UV Protection You always want to ensure you protect yourself from the sun. After all, Nobody wants to get burnt or increase their risk of cancer. Know that the outfit you wear matters. It’s not just the skin that’s directly exposed to the sun that matters. Yes, you want to wear sunscreen, but you also want to choose an outfit that’s going to offer protection. In particular, look for clothing that’s made from materials that have UV protection. This allows you to enjoy peace of mind when you’re going to be out and about during the sunniest times of the day. Moisture-Wicking Technology Something else you need to search for with functional clothing is materials that keep you at a comfortable temperature. Indeed, you want this clothing to be suitable for physical activities, so you’ve got nothing stopping you from being spontaneous. In particular, it helps when the materials have moisture-wicking technology. This is going to ensure that you stay at a cool and comfortable temperature and feel your best. Lightweight and Soft Material Yes, you want to be stylish. But, you also have to feel comfortable in the materials you’re wearing. Always check the label to make sure the clothing is made from quality material. In particular, you want it to be lightweight for comfortable, as well as feel silky smooth against the skin. It’s useful to have a certain amount of stretch, too, so that you can move around and not feel restricted. Therefore, don’t rush into buying clothes just because they’re stylish. Always understand the material first. Conclusion In summary, investing in quality functional clothing is a smart choice for both your wardrobe and your wallet. Not only does it offer durability, comfort, and timeless style, but it also makes financial sense when you consider the cost-per-wear. Additionally, it supports sustainable fashion and ethical practices, aligning your choices with your values. By ML staff. Image courtesy of Pexel.

In this context, it is worth exploring the most popular poker games online to see which are highly recommended. Image by Woraphon / Adobestock Texas Hold’em Firstly, it is worth noting that poker has a longstanding history that traces back to the 1800s. Nowadays, poker is equally as popular but there are many variations to choose from. Texas Hold’em is known as one of the most popular variations out there and is so well loved by poker fans as it is easy to learn and action-packed.  In terms of how to get started with the game, each player is dealt two-hole cards face-down and thus begins the first round of betting. When players have their cards, they can choose to raise or fold. The main objective of this game is to make the best possible decisions regarding betting to ensure that you can win as many chips as possible over multiple hands. For those who have never played poker in general before, it is best to familiarize yourself with the various poker rules  and terminology as it will make learning how the game operates much quicker. Omaha Poker Lots of online casinos offer different versions of Omaha poker for those poker enthusiasts out there. These variations are a big hit because they're like Texas Hold'em, but instead of getting two-hole cards, players get dealt four. The whole deal with Omaha poker is to create the strongest hand using two-hole cards and three community cards. And within the world of Omaha poker, you've got Omaha hi, Omaha Low, and 5-card Omaha, each with its own slight rule tweaks. 7-card stud Moreover, along with Texas Hold’em, 7-card stud is also another popular poker variant both in person and online. In a typical game of 7-card stud, there are no flip or community cards in seven-card Stud, which has two to eight players. The reason why many people are drawn to this variation of poker is because it offers a challenge that other poker variants don’t. In this game, seven cards will be placed face down and four face up, requiring players to pick the best five-card combination. During this game, your opponents will need to expose part of their cards to you.  Image by TimeStopper / Adobestock Three card Poker In addition, three card poker can also be played online and it has roots that stem back to the 16th century . It is perfect for those people who are just starting out in the realm of poker and don’t know too much about how it operates. The main purpose of this game is to acquire a three-card poker hand with a higher value than the dealer's hand. What makes this game even more exciting is that it can now be played online with live dealers which means that poker fans can play the game from the comfort of their own home in a realistic casino setting.  Pai Gow Poker Of course, for those who are looking to play a poker variant that is a bit different, Pai Gow Poker is also available online. In this game, your five-card hand ranking hand should be higher than your two-card hand. This is why it is advisable to keep your higher pair in your five-card hand and put the lower pair in your two-card hand. Not only is this poker variant one of the best online and live games, but it is simple for beginners to get started with it especially if they are already familiar with common variations such as Omaha or Texas Hold'em. Overall, there are many different types of poker games that players are finding popular lately. From Texas Hold’em and Omaha variants to Seven-stud and three card poker, the list is endless when it comes to finding a new poker variant to play. In the future, as more gamers  become interested in playing poker on virtual platforms, it is predicted that there will come even more poker variants online to entertain poker fans. If you are thinking about playing poker and aren’t too sure about how to play each variant, remember to look at the specific poker rules so that you have the best chance of being able to play it to the best of your ability. Our guide gives you more details on cute outfit ideas for girls including what to consider when you start to choose your outfit and some helpful outfit examples to get you thinking about your next look. Image by teksomolika / Adobestock Things to Consider When Choosing an Outfit As you start to think about your next cute outfit, there are some essential things that you should keep in mind. These considerations can help you narrow down the many options out there and help you settle on something flattering and appropriate for the occasion. Weather The weather is one of the most important things to think about when choosing a cute outfit, as you don’t want to be underdressed or overdressed. Hot and cold temperatures, or temperatures in between require different kinds of outfits. For example, in the summer you may want to select shorts, short skirts, summer dresses, and crop tops, while you may be more inclined to wear leggings, jackets, and sweater dresses in the colder months. Image by bedya / Adobestock Season The season, in addition to the weather, is also an essential factor to think about when it comes to selecting your cute outfit. Seasonally, colors and styles change to match the weather and the overall vibe of the season. In winter, you may find yourself drawn to darker colors, such as deep reds, blacks, and blues, while spring and summer lead to brighter and pastel colors or floral patterns on your outfit. Activity The activities you will be participating in while wearing your cute outfit are important to think about, as some styles are much more suited to lots of activity or walking than others. For example, if you are attending an evening celebration, a formal gown and heels may be appropriate (this could be a great chance to wear your prom dress, especially if it’s a versatile open like the ones in this collection ). Image by Rob / Adobestock On the other hand, if you are going on a day trip with friends, you will likely want to ditch the heels and long skirts for comfortable sneakers and a loose-fitting t-shirt and leggings for maximum style and comfort. Comfort Keeping your comfort in mind is key to creating a cute outfit that also lets you feel your best while you wear it. Styles that are too revealing for your personal taste, those that fit loosely, or those that are too tight can leave you fidgeting and uncomfortable all day long. Instead of letting those outfits ruin your day, select items that fit properly and that you know you are comfortable wearing; don’t be afraid to try different outfits until you find the best fit. Personal Style Your personality should play a part in the outfit you select, as adding your own twist to an outfit makes it uniquely yours. Embrace your personal style by mixing and matching items, choosing items that fit your vibe, and tailoring outfits to your own preferences with accessories or other complementary items, like matching outfits and shoes. • What do Restaurant Owners do to Avoid Slip and Fall Lawsuits in Florida?

Slip and fall accidents in restaurants are quite common. Each year, over 3 million food service employees and 1 million guests are injured due to such incidents . These accidents are a significant concern for restaurant management, as they represent a substantial portion of workplace injuries. The National Safety Council  estimates that annually, there are about 9 million slip-and-fall injuries in the United States, with a notable percentage occurring in restaurants. Lawsuits resulting from slip-and-fall accidents in restaurants are also prevalent. The frequency of these lawsuits has increased by over 300 percent since 1980, reflecting the serious nature of these incidents and the legal repercussions that often follow (source). These lawsuits can be costly and damaging to the reputation of the restaurant, making it imperative for businesses to implement effective safety measures to prevent such accidents. Preventative strategies and proper staff training are crucial in mitigating the risks associated with slip-and-fall incidents in the food service industry. Preventing a Lawsuit Restaurant owners in Florida take multiple measures to prevent a slip and fall lawsuit . They regularly maintain floors and ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry.  Implementing proper training for staff on how to handle spills promptly and placing clear signage in areas prone to wetness are also standard practices. Additionally, they often use non-slip mats and install high-traction flooring materials. Regular inspections and maintenance checks help identify and rectify potential hazards before they cause accidents. Insurance coverage specific to slip and fall incidents is another layer of protection. These combined efforts not only enhance safety but also minimize the risk of costly legal battles. Understanding Slip and Fall Risks in Restaurants Restaurant owners must recognize the primary causes of slip and fall incidents to prevent potential lawsuits. In Florida, legal frameworks impose specific responsibilities on businesses to ensure customer safety. Typical Causes of Slip and Fall Incidents Common causes of slip and fall incidents in restaurants include wet floors, uneven surfaces, poor lighting, and cluttered walkways. Spills from food and drinks are frequent culprits. Floor mats that are not properly secured can also pose hazards. Wet floors : Often due to mopping or spills, they require immediate attention. Uneven surfaces : These can result from worn flooring or unexpected level changes. Poor lighting : Insufficient illumination makes it difficult for patrons to spot hazards. Regular inspections and prompt maintenance are crucial for mitigating these risks. Florida's Legal Framework for Slip and Fall Claims Florida law mandates that business owners must maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition. In slip and fall cases, plaintiffs must prove that the restaurant knew, or should have known, about the dangerous condition and failed to address it. The statute requires that evidence be provided regarding the owner’s knowledge of the hazard. Key Points : Time frame to fix hazards after becoming aware. Documentation of regular inspections and maintenance routines. Witness testimony and surveillance footage can play a critical role. Adhering to these guidelines can significantly reduce the likelihood of facing a slip and fall lawsuit. Proactive Measures to Prevent Slip and Fall Incidents Restaurant owners in Florida adopt a variety of strategies to minimize the risk of slip and fall incidents. Critical among these are implementing stringent safety protocols, ensuring regular maintenance, and providing comprehensive employee training. Implementing Safety Protocols and Procedures Restaurant owners set up strict safety protocols aimed at accident prevention. Wet floor signs , non-slip mats , and appropriate footwear for staff  are fundamental. Consistent documentation of safety practices ensures accountability. Regular safety audits are conducted to spot and rectify potential hazards. Owners may also enforce a rule that immediately addresses spills and other hazards, reducing the risk of slip and fall incidents significantly. Regular Maintenance and Hazard Removal Maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment is crucial. Regular cleaning schedules , particularly in high-traffic areas, help prevent accumulation of grease or moisture. Widgets such as non-slip coatings  on floors are beneficial. Regular inspections of floors, walkways, and workspaces  ensure that potential hazards like uneven surfaces or loose tiles are promptly corrected. Employee Training and Monitoring Effective slip and fall prevention includes thorough employee training. Staff are educated on the importance of immediate spill cleanup , maintaining clear walkways, and recognizing slip hazards. Regular training sessions reinforce these practices. Monitoring employee adherence to safety protocols helps ensure continuous compliance, further reducing the likelihood of slip and fall incidents. By ML Staff. Image courtesy of Pexel. • The History of Wynwood: One of Miami's Most Fun Neighborhoods

In many cities, wall art can get you into legal trouble. That’s not the case in Wynwood, the colorful neighborhood in Dade County, Miami. Wynwood has a long history dating back to the early 20th century. The neighborhood became famous in the 1990s after murals began popping up on abandoned warehouses. Wynwood embraced its unique identity and used it to transform its reputation and economic value. Today, Wynwood is a popular tourist destination for art lovers, fashion designers, and Instagram models. It is a safe city where you can enjoy a variety of options  at the best casino sites in Florida, dine at local restaurants, or feast your eyes on the city’s iconic murals. A Brief History The story of Wynwood started in 1917. Two men, Hugh Anderson and Josiah Chaille bought a large chunk of land from Miami City for farming. Soon, Wynwood attracted the working class, manufacturers, and real estate developers. By 1950, most people in the city worked for local factories and textile manufacturers. Farming took the back seat while manufacturing became the main economic activity in the city. Little San Juan Over time, Wynwood attracted a significant percentage of Puerto Rican immigrants looking for greener pastures in Florida. The Puerto Rican community loved this small town so much that they nicknamed it “Little San Juan.”  In the 1960s, the community honored famous Puerto Rican author Eugenio Maria de Hostos by naming the city center after him. Roberto Clemente, a baseball legend of Puerto Rican descent, was also honored with a park after his tragic airplane crash in 1972. For more than three decades, Wynwood was the melting pot of Latin America. Migrants and entrepreneurs from Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala made the city home.  Crime and Violence Immigration to Wynwood in the 1970s wasn’t without its problems. Once dominated by peace-loving Puerto Ricans, the city turned into a haven for crime and violence. Many commercial workers deserted the city in favor of more secure places. Joblessness increased and so did crime. The Miami Herald reports that the streets of Wynwood were often filled with homeless people throughout the 1970s. In the early 1990s, no investor dared step in "El Barrio. It was so violent that people once demonstrated after a local crack dealer was gunned down by the police.  Insecurity and drugs pushed the working class of Wynwood up north, leaving the city center and downtown cheap and undeveloped. However, something good happened during this time. A new culture was born. A Massive Outdoor Gallery Wynwood has the world’s biggest outdoor gallery, spanning 50 blocks and featuring 200+ murals. Unlike most cities, street art is legal and has no sign of ever being criminalized. Art began appearing in Wynwood in the 1980s. Famous street artists like Purvis Young and Tony Lopez started the movement. Before long, Wynwood became an art district with millions of visitors. In the late 2000s, Tony Goldman, who famously revived New York's South Beach and Soho districts through art, brought his talents to Dade Country. He persuaded art dealer Jeffrey Deitch to help him create masterpieces on the walls of Wynwood City. Abandoned warehouses became the perfect canvases for Goldman and his artists. In 2009, Goldman opened the Wynwood Art Walk to rebrand the city with colorful masterpieces.    Many artists have since opened art galleries in Wynwood, some of whom mentor young artists to continue the tradition. Meanwhile, the city became gentrified. New buildings popped up, crime reduced and Wynwood turned into a tourist destination. Exploring Wynwood: Best Things to Do Wynwood’s story  is one of humble beginnings, struggles, and triumphs. The small neighborhood north of downtown Miami has been a hot spot for Latin American culture. It has also experienced its fair share of crime and drugs.  Despite that, Wynwood fought its bad history through art, hard work, and togetherness. Today, here are some of the best things you can do in the city: Explore the Wall Art You may have seen street murals in cities across the country. But you've probably never seen the kind of wall art collection only found in Wynwood. Here, you're one block away from a mural. The murals are bright and colorful . Each mural has an intricate meaning. It could be a poignant political message, a story about hope, or a psychedelic scene. Some of them, as mentioned, come from famous painters. So, if you love to explore wall art by famous artists, Wynwood should be on your bucket list. Experience Latin America’s Best Dishes Wynwood is more than its gorgeous murals. It is a vibrant city populated by different Latin American cultures. If you're a foodie, check out some of the city's best-rated restaurants. Coyo Taco is the best location for taco fans. The restaurant has a special taco prepared using split-roasted pork, cilantro, salsa Verde, and pineapple that everyone is always raving about. Buy Souvenirs in the Art Galleries A trip to Wynwood isn’t complete without a souvenir to take back home. Whether you’re exploring the wall art to take perfect Instagram photos or you’re on a date, look for souvenirs.  Naturally, an art piece is the best souvenir you can buy in Wynwood. However, a T-shirt inspired by local art could also be an excellent souvenir. If you’re lucky, you can have a local art legend sign you’re your souvenir. Party All Night After a busy day of gazing at Wynwood's murals, the best way to end your day is to sip cocktails or drink beer at local breweries. Gramps Bar is famed for its food and cocktail menu. If you love beer, though, Wynwood has a Brewing Company located at the heart of the city. Another great place to spend your evening is at E11, a popular club open 24 hours. It features a DJ and sometimes organizes live music from local and out-of-town artists.   If Wynwood's nightlife feels too quiet, take a cab to Miami City. It's five miles away and offers the best nightlife experience in the entire state. By ML staff. Image courtesy of Pexel.
