  • Experience The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games With LVMH

    Follow the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games day by day and discover the contribution of LVMH and its Maisons to this global event.  LVMH is present through several activations including the support of three Paralympic athletes - Timothée Adolphe, Pauline Déroulède and Marie Patouillet. LVMH is also marking its presence at Club France and Maison LVMH. 28 August:  Opening Ceremony    LVMH and its Maisons are proud to have contributed to the Opening Ceremony for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games . The ceremony kicked off with a festive parade down the Champs-Elysées by 180 plus delegations from nations across the globe. LVMH helped showcase this first ever Opening Ceremony for the Paralympic Games in Paris thanks to the exceptional engagement of its artisans and teams, who worked hand in hand alongside Paris 2024 with passion and creativity to once again make LVMH the Artisan of All Victories.    Among the participating Maisons of this global event: Berluti, Louis Vuitton and Vuarnet. 29 August:  Marie Patouillet – Para-cycling 500m time trial   After qualifying in the final of the 500m Time Trial in the morning, para-cyclist Marie Patouillet won the silver medal.    First medal for Team France!  Maison LVMH – Talk VETA   Jean-Remy Touze, Group Disability Inclusion Officer, and Jean-François Dufresnes, President of the association Vivre et travailler autrement (VETA), whose project is to promote the autonomy of autistic adults and their socio-professional inclusion, discussed the partnership between LVMH and VETA during the first talk of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games at Maison LVMH.  30 August:  Pauline Déroulède - Wheelchair tennis   In a very close match, Pauline Déroulède and her partner Ksénia Chasteau lost to their Colombian opponents in three sets.    31 August: Pauline Déroulède - Wheelchair tennis   The athlete Pauline Déroulède was unable to overcome her Colombian opponent Angelica Bernal, losing in two sets 6/3 - 6/1. Well done Pauline for your performance!  Maison LVMH – Secours Populaire   More than 70 children helped by Secours Populaire spent the day at Maison LVMH. The programme included a tour of the showcasing areas, a workshop led by Make Up For Ever and the presence of the Paralympic Phryge, before heading to the Aquatic Centre to watch the para-swimming events.  Timothée Adolphe – Para-athletics 400m   After brilliantly qualifying for the 400m semi-final in the T11 category in the morning, Timothée Adolphe repeated his excellent performance by placing 1st in his semi-final with the best time. See you tomorrow evening for the final!  1 September: Marie Patouillet – Para-cycling 3000m pursuit   Marie Patouillet, Paralympic champion!   After qualifying in the morning in the finale, Marie Patouillet beats the odds to win Paralympic gold against her French teammate Heidi Gaugain!   Well done Marie and see you next week for the road races. Timothée Adolphe – Para-athletics 400m   Timothée Adolphe and his guide, Jeffrey Lami, qualified for the final with the best time in their semi-final heat, and eventually won the silver medal in the 400m T11 category, only beaten by the Venezuelan duo. 2 September: Maison LVMH – Talk Marie Barsacq   For this second talk during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, LVMH was lucky enough to welcome Marie Barsacq, Director of Impact and Legacy for Paris 2024. She spoke about the legacy of Paris 2024 and the impetus given by the organization of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to sustainably boost physical exercise and sport among the population and promote education, living together and social inclusion.  ML Staff.   • Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden Announces Upcoming Caribbean Festival

    Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden has announced its upcoming Taste of the Caribbean Festival, set to take place on September 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This immersive event will celebrate the rich cultural heritage and delectable cuisine of the Caribbean, featuring flavors from Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Belize. Guests will embark on a culinary journey through the Caribbean by purchasing tasting tickets for $2 each, which can be redeemed at various food tasting stations. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample an array of authentic dishes, as vendors will offer unique menu items to showcase their Caribbean specialties. Each food item can cost 2-6 tickets. In addition to the mouthwatering cuisine, Taste of the Caribbean will feature refreshing Caribbean drinks. Guests can quench their thirst with an exotic array of specialty cocktails, each crafted with vibrant colors and flavors that will transport them to island life. Families will delight in the array of kid-friendly activities, including limbo, lime carry, and fruit sack races. Adults can enjoy traditional lawn games such as dominoes and giant checkers, fostering a sense of community and friendly competition. The event will also feature an Island Market, bringing favorite island finds to Miami. Visitors can explore curated Caribbean spice shops, hemp products, and more from vendors such as Atizana Inspired, Psalms Brittle, Authentic Hemp, and Spice Rack by Rochelle. "We are excited to bring the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden," said the garden’s deputy director, Nannette Zapata.   • LOEWE Opens first 'Casa LOEWE' Store in Seoul

    LOEWE has inaugurated its first CASA LOEWE flagship in Seoul, located in the vibrant Gangnam district. The 433-square-meter space proposes a full offering of ready-to-wear and much more across three floors. The store features a curated selection of distinctive furniture, including Berin Club chairs upholstered in custom felt, Utrecht and Steltman chairs designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, and Conoid Cushion chairs in American black walnut from George Nakashima.   The CASA LOEWE Seoul Cheongdam stands out with its bright green ceramic façade and vast sculptural installation. The store concept by LOEWE creative director Jonathan Anderson is a unique fusion of fashion, art, craft and design furniture, creating the eclectic feel of an art collector’s home. Handmade in Spain, the façade’s ceramic tiles bring a bold volume of color that dialogues with the store’s urban context and surrounding greenery.   Inside, the tiles recur in shades of blue, brown and green, complemented by cool expanses of concrete, oak, brass and marble. Extensive use of glass brings an abundance of natural light, generating a continuous flow between exterior and interior.   The store also welcomes meticulously curated works from LOEWE’s anthology of art and craft. They include the bamboo sculpture Source of Creation (2024) by Japanese artist Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, symbolizing the dynamic interaction between fashion and art. Tracy purchased her first white cover-up in 2012 at a boutique resort spa while on a business trip to Miami.
