  • Red Bull Driver Search: New Talents Join the Path to F1

Two new driving talents in Chiara Bättig and Mattia Colnaghi have joined the Red Bull Junior Team. Bättig, from Switzerland, will step up from karting to F4 next season while Italian-Argentinian driver, Colnaghi, will climb the ladder from Eurocup-3 to the FIA F3 series in 2026. Bättig was selected to join the Red Bull Junior Team after a successful performance at the recent Red Bull Driver Search in Portugal. The 15 year-old demonstrated her skills when taking to the track in single-seater machinery for the first time. The three-day programme saw young drivers from around the world put through their paces off-track and on-track in Formula cars. “It means a lot to me to be a Red Bull Junior Driver,” said Bättig. “I think the Red Bull Junior Team is really exciting, and I think they are making really good progress with their drivers. It’s my first time in a single-seater car, we adapted really well and I’m happy about that.” “My ultimate goal is to reach Formula One and become World Champion. My plan for next year is to race in F4 and my mindset is that I know what I’m capable of. I hope to inspire young female karters to take the same journey I am making now.” Dr. Helmut Marko, Head of Red Bull Junior Driver Programme and Red Bull Motorsports Consultant, praised Bättig’s efforts: “This was Chiara’s first time in a Formula car, coming straight from karting, and her performance was very good. She was successful in karts and the speed she showed in the Formula car means we are looking forward to a very successful season.” Italian-Argentinian driver, Colnaghi, made the step into cars in 2024 and delivered instant success. Six race wins in the Spanish F4 Championship saw him clinch the title in his rookie season, while the 17 year-old currently leads the Eurocup-3 standings with three rounds remaining. “Being selected as a Red Bull Junior Driver means the opportunity and the pathway to get to where I want to be, with my ultimate goal of becoming a Formula One World Champion with Red Bull,” said Colnaghi. “Winning the Spanish F4 title last year as a rookie was a key achievement for me, as is joining the Red Bull Junior Team, but I must remain humble – this is very important to me.” Dr. Marko has high expectations of Colnaghi and added: “Mattia is racing in Eurocup-3. He is leading the championship and will go to F3 and, as always, we want them to be frontrunners and, if possible, win the championship.” Since its formation in 2001, the Red Bull Junior Team has been committed to developing the best young driving talent in motorsports. Currently, the team consists of 13 drivers, five of whom race alongside Formula One in the F2 and F3 series. The Red Bull Junior Team has been responsible for developing the careers of 22 Formula One drivers, of which include all four current Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen, Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar. • Hadjar Delivers Stunning Drive at Dutch Gp to Secure Maiden Podium Finish

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls' Isack Hadjar rounded off a memorable weekend with a flawless drive at the Dutch Grand Prix as he became the fifth youngest driver in Formula One history to finish on the podium. The 20-year-old qualified in fourth place on Saturday and took advantage of a late retirement from Lando Norris to secure third position at the Circuit Zandvoort. “That feels a bit unreal. What was most surprising to me is keeping that fourth place for the whole race,” said Hadjar. "Unfortunately for Norris, we took advantage but we made no mistake and the car was unreal all weekend. I'm really happy for myself because I really maximised what I had, made no mistakes and brought home the podium. I'm so happy for my guys." Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen was equally impressive on his home circuit, delighting the fans as he finished in second place behind race winner Oscar Piastri. Teammate Yuki Tsunoda was also able to finish in the points as he moved from 12th at the start to ninth place at the chequered flag, while Visa Cash App Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson finished in 12th place. QUOTES Oracle Red Bull Racing MAX VERSTAPPEN - 2nd “For me today, the highlight of the race was the first half when I was trying to get a spot and overtake. It was good to initially get the overtake but after Lando passed me again, I knew we had to manage our tyres and our pace for the rest of the race and keep everyone behind. The car did snap a bit on the first lap and I felt like I was doing a bit of drifting as there was a lot of sand on turn two. Qualifying was a big step forward for us, but today it was a bit more difficult as we were struggling on the long runs and it was more of a fight behind me. We got lucky with P2 as we couldn’t match the pace of the McLarens in the race and were struggling with the tyre behaviour and grip in the low speed. Despite this, I’m very happy for Isack to get his first podium: he had a fantastic weekend and good lap times and coming in as a rookie is always hard and he has done really well.” YUKI TSUNODA - 9th “It was a crazy race, I had a big issue in the last stint where I lost power in the car. It was a difficult race to manage, the safety cars happened at horrible times for me and then we had the issue, so it was a tricky race. I stayed focused and just tried to adapt with the issue and try to get into the points which we did. Ultimately I'm happy with P9 and it's good to be back into the points which gives me confidence. The last three races the Team have given me a lot to increase performance in the car and this is a step in the right direction. Also, a massive congratulations to Isack and his team as I know what this result means to them." LAURENT MEKIES - Team Principal & CEO “Certainly, for Max this result was the absolute maximum, it was really everything he could have got out of the car. We had a very aggressive approach, starting on the soft, and Max had a fantastic first lap again. It also came with some risk, we knew the McLarens had the pace and we knew it would be tough to beat them. Starting on that compound was probably the only way to have a go at them. Max did a great job of managing the soft and then he was positive on the medium too and really pushed it, it was very much the Red Bull spirit. Lando was unlucky, but it meant it was good points for the Team and combined with Yuki being back in the points, it makes it a strong Sunday for us. Yuki has been progressing well, the timing of the first safety car probably didn’t help him today and he could have finished higher up. So, it’s step by step for Yuki, the trend is positive, and he is continuing to do the hard work and keep his head down. Lastly, a huge well done to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls and Isack on his first ever podium, it is a special day for Red Bull and he deserves this, as do all the people there. Sharing the podium with Max for him was a special day, this Dutch Grand Prix has a special energy and level of passion, and we all felt that.” By ML Staff. Content/Images courtesy of RedBull

  • Say “I do” to Island City Stage's South Florida Premiere of At the Wedding by Bryna Turner

Get ready to say “I do” to great theatre! Celebrate the highs and lows of love in Island City Stage ’s South Florida premiere of At the Wedding by Bryna Turner , running through September 14. Follow Carlo as she shows up to her ex-girlfriend’s wedding - to a man - and suddenly the night becomes a minefield of heartbreak, Champagne and questionable decisions. Tickets are on sale now and each show begins with a complimentary Champagne toast. Hannah Benitez (Carlo) and Elizabeth Price (Maria) Steven Guez (Victor) and Timothy Mark Davis (Eli) Sandi Stock (Leigh) and Hannah Benitez (Carlo) “As with real weddings. At the Wedding  is perfect for summer. It's a biting comedy but also has a lot of heart and hope,” said Andy Rogow, artistic director of Island City Stage  and the show’s director. “One of the things I love about this play is that it truly connects with anyone who has had heartbreak in their life or watched an ‘ex’ marry someone else. Audiences will also recognize all of the guests at this wedding - the perfect bridesmaid, the inebriated mother-of-the-bride, the sibling who'd rather be somewhere else and the romantic who wants to propose to his partner during the reception. It's all great fun!” At the Wedding  premiered off-Broadway at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater in 2022. A story of loss, love and redemption, the play focuses on the world's loneliest (and wittiest) single woman, Carlo, as she crashes her ex-girlfriend's wedding to a man. Through a series of flirtations, conversations, and collisions with past lovers, old enemies, new friends and perfect strangers, Carlo strives to understand whether or not heartbreak is a permanent human condition. New York Theatre Guide  called At the Wedding  “Bitterly funny... wisecracking and wisdom-sharing about the unbreakable bond between love and pain... there's a fun time to be had at this wedding.” The   New York Times  shared, "Fresh and trenchant... The lines are funny; Turner has a boxer’s sense of the two-punch rhythm of jokes... Authorial patience is part of what makes At the Wedding so fresh; though there are plenty of one-liners, it is not a yuk-yuk comedy foisting its laughs at you or over-signaling its intentions... Also revivifying is the way Turner reshapes the wedding genre for our time, inviting new characters to the party.” Hannah Benitez (Carlo) and Sheena O. Murray (Eva) Hannah Benitez (Carlo) and Hannah Hayley (Carly) Steven Guez (Victor) and Hannah Benitez (Carlo) Hannah Hayley (Carly), Sheena O. • It's Paw Patrol: Adventure Play to the Rescue Beginning September 12 at the Museum of Discovery and Science

Children and families can now play and save the day with the heroic PAW Patrol ® pups at the brand-new PAW Patrol TM : Adventure Play traveling exhibit presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and sponsored by Florida Prepaid College Savings Plan and Chewy VetCare , opening September 12 at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) . Based on the hit preschool series PAW Patrol , produced by Spin Master Entertainment, airing on Nickelodeon and streaming on Paramount+, this interactive exhibit gives kids and their grown-ups an opportunity to run rescue missions and work together to overcome challenges in a fun and immersive environment. The exhibit runs through January 11, 2026. “At MODS, we’re always looking for innovative ways to ignite curiosity and learning through play,” said Joseph P. Cox, president and CEO of the Museum of Discovery and Science . “ PAW Patrol: Adventure Play is a joyful, hands-on experience that empowers our youngest learners to develop problem-solving and teamwork skills while connecting imaginative rescue missions to the real-life heroes in their communities.” Through the exhibit, families will visit Adventure Bay and meet the PAW Patrol, a pack of rescue pups - each inspired by a real-world job like a police officer (Chase), a firefighter (Marshall), a construction worker (Rubble), a fearless pilot (Skye) and more. Just as the heroic pups, who believe "no job is too big, no pup is too small," work together to protect their community in the show, families will work together to save the day with a can-do attitude. In the process, kids can learn about different jobs within a community and how those real-life professionals coordinate to keep people safe and happy. “Play has the power to heal, inspire and teach,” said Caitlin Stella, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital . “That’s why we’re proud to present PAW Patrol: Adventure Play at MODS. Experiences like this create moments of joy and learning that benefit a child’s emotional and social development - whether in a hospital room or at a museum. We’re committed to supporting healthy, happy childhoods in every way we can.” Each of the PAW Patrol pups has special skills, gadgets and vehicles to help them on their rescue missions. In the exhibit, families are invited to pop on a pup pack containing their own imaginary tools and check out the lay of the land from the lookout tower. They can head to Jake’s Mountain and scope things out near the snowy slide to see if anyone is in trouble. They can also board the PAW Patroller, push buttons, and drive it up the mountain to help Rubble and Everest rescue a snowboarder stuck in the snow. Those with a taste for foodie adventures can whip up tasty treats in Porter’s Café and help Adventure Bay win the Tallest Cake Competition by stacking cake layers as high as they can. Families can also cruise Adventure Bay aboard the Sea Patroller, steering it to rescue baby seagulls and turtles. “A strong future begins with early inspiration,” said Kevin Thompson, executive director of Florida Prepaid College Savings Plan . “This exhibit allows children to explore the world around them and start thinking about the many roles they can play in it. Whether they dream of being firefighters, scientists or community helpers, PAW Patrol: Adventure Play sparks the kind of curiosity that drives lifelong learning - and that’s a mission we’re proud to champion, and to support families in saving for.” The hands-on, immersive PAW Patrol: Adventure Play exhibit is a fun way for the whole family to learn about bravery and heroism. The whole family will learn how to combine their skills to problem-solve together and save the day. Celebrate Real-Life Heroes! On select days and times from September - December, families will have the opportunity to meet the brave individuals - both human and furry - who help keep our communities safe and healthy. Activities will include: Meet & Greet : Connect with local police officers, firefighters, pilots, first responders and more. Touch-a-Truck Zone : Explore real emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, police cruisers and rescue mobiles. K-9 Demonstrations : Watch trained service dogs in action and learn about their vital roles. For a complete list of dates, times and activities visit mods.org/exhibit/paw-patrol-adventure-play . Wanna Be Weekends in October and November: No Job Too Big! MODS will extend the PAW Patrol: Adventure Play experience with Wanna Be Weekends , taking place every Saturday and Sunday in October and November. These themed weekends feature engaging, hands-on activities highlighting real-life community heroes and STEAM-based careers. From designing rescue vehicles and building homes to meeting local police officers, firefighters, first responders and even learning how to be a pilot, families will discover how teamwork, compassion and problem-solving shape the world around us. Thanks to support from the JetBlue Foundation, young aviators will have the chance to explore flight science and aviation careers through special programming and guest speakers. On select days, Chewy VetCare will also host an interactive Vet Clinic, where children can step into the role of animal caretakers by practicing empathy and learning how to care for pets and other animals in need. Each weekend brings new partners, fresh adventures and opportunities for children to imagine how they can make a difference just like the heroic pups of Adventure Bay. PAW Patrol: Adventure Play was produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Nickelodeon and Paramount Location-Based Entertainment & Experiences. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit committed to creating extraordinary family learning experiences across the arts, sciences, and humanities that have the power to transform the lives of children and families. “The big takeaway for children and their grownups is that every team member's skills are valued and serve an important purpose to help the whole team accomplish important goals,” said Dr. Jennifer Pace Robinson , president and CEO of the museum that produced the exhibit, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis . “We want little ones to learn about citizenship, helpfulness and solving problems with the assistance of these rescue pups, who team up to help their neighbors who are in trouble.” PAW Patrol: Adventure Play is included with admission to MODS.
