  • Cheval Blanc Seychelles Celebrates the Art of Joël Andrianomearisoa

In December 2024 Cheval Blanc unveiled its sixth Maison in the heart of the Indian Ocean: Cheval Blanc Seychelles, nestled along the southwest coast of Mahé, overlooking the pristine Anse Intendance. Designed by architect Jean-Michel Gathy, this intimate and exclusive haven features 52 villas surrounded by lush nature.  To mark the opening the Maison asked well-known contemporary artist Joël Andrianomearisoa to create a unique work entitled Un Souffle du Temps sur la Mélodie de nos Songes (A Breath of Time on the Melody of Our Dreams). In a series of poetic creations, the Malagasy artist deploys a sensitive language inspired by the contrasts of Mahé Island – the white of the fine sandy beaches, the black of the volcanic rocks, the deep green of the jungle, and the intense blue of the ocean. His textile works, presented in 52 unique shades—one for each villa—ripple with the light and movement of the air, like living iterations of the landscape. At Le White restaurant, designed as a veritable ‘white cube’, Joël Andrianomearisoa created a series of in-situ monumental canvases with vibrant patterns. This holistic approach extends to every detail: a logo designed by the artist, exclusive tableware created in collaboration with Bernardaud, and even the delicate embroidery on the uniforms worn by the Cheval Blanc Artisans. “From walls to the napkins, a journey of rhythm, the melody of a dream, touch our hearts,” says the artist, who approaches each project as an exciting and all-encompassing adventure. A graduate of the École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris, Joël Andrianomearisoa lives and works between Antananarivo and Paris. His work, exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2019, the Centre Pompidou, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., is renowned for its ability to give form to emotions. At Cheval Blanc Seychelles, the artist has conceived an unprecedented creation at the intersection of art, design, and hospitality, offering guests an experience where art engages in intimate dialogue with nature and the French art of hospitality. • Apotheosis | Frost Symphony Orchestra

Gerard Schwarz, conductor  Santiago Rodriguez, piano   PROGRAM RANDS: Chant [world premiere]  RACHMANINOFF: Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor (Santiago Rodriguez, piano)  BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 7 in A Major   The Frost Symphony Orchestra opens the season with the world premiere of Bernard Rands’s Chant , the fifth of six Centennial commissions. The Pulitzer Prize–winning composer—an enduring force in American music—has crafted this new score to honor the Frost School’s 100-year milestone.   Next in the program is one of the great high-wire acts in the repertoire, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor . Legendary pianist and Frost professor Santiago Rodriguez, praised as "a phenomenal pianist" by The New York Times and "among the finest pianists in the world" by The Baltimore Sun , takes on the concerto’s towering chords, sweeping lyricism, and famously fearsome cadenza. Beneath the virtuosity lies a deeply Russian melancholy: Rachmaninoff wrote the work on the eve of his first American tour, capturing both homesickness and newfound possibility in a single span.   The concert closes with the irrepressible energy of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major . Described by Wagner as the “apotheosis of the dance,” the Seventh drives forward on buoyant rhythms, from the infectious crescendos of the opening movement to the jubilant whirl of the finale. Between those bookends lies the noble Allegretto. DATE AND TIME: Saturday, September 20, 2025 7:30 pm ADDRESS: UM Gusman Concert Hall Purchase tickets here. Set a reminder here. By ML Staff. • Secure Cloud Living for Productive Teams on the Move

In the modern era, businesses often have remote teams working together on the move. This brings wide-ranging benefits for businesses and employees, but it can also create a few unique challenges. Many of these challenges can be overcome with the use of secure cloud storage. This post will explore the ways in which secure cloud storage can benefit productive teams on the move.  Understanding End-to-End Encrypted Cloud Storage With cybercrime on the rise, businesses must do all they can to protect their data. One of the best ways to do this is with end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) cloud storage, which involves encrypting data at every stage so that it is unreadable to anyone who does not have the decryption key. E2EE systems often use zero-knowledge protocols, which means that even the service provider cannot access your data. Despite this, recent research  from ETH Zurich found cryptographic vulnerabilities in a number of E2EE providers, which shows that no system is entirely secure.  Recent Security Advances: Quantum-Resistant & AI-Enhanced Encryption Advances in cybercrime have led to a number of notable developments in cybersecurity. U.S. organizations and major providers are investing in post-quantum and AI-driven cloud security to protect against the latest threats. For instance, Google Cloud Next 2025  recently announced improvements to encryption protocols, key management, and E2EE enhancements.  Why Secure Cloud Storage is Key for Remote Work & Travel Secure cloud storage is hugely beneficial for remote work and travel. Benefits include collaborative file storage and online document editing, accessibility from anywhere, and better productivity. This is all while ensuring security with E2EE. Choosing a business cloud solution  with E2EE ensures your team stays secure even when working remotely from a holiday destination, allowing staff to stay connected no matter where in the world they are working from.  Budget-Friendly Travel Destinations That Offer Safety & Connectivity Leading on from this, there are a number of budget-friendly travel destinations where people can stay productive and safe. Places throughout Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa are popular with remote workers and digital nomads thanks to their connectivity. In particular, destinations like Laos, Penang, Cape Town, and Bolivia have been highlighted as cost-effective and reasonably safe. Practical advice for working remotely abroad includes securing reliable internet, choosing accommodations with business-friendly amenities, and using secure VPNs or E2EE cloud services while traveling.  For productive teams on the move, secure cloud storage is key for productivity, cybersecurity, and collaboration. These platforms can allow people to access, edit, and share data no matter where they are in the world while still protecting data from external threats. Cybercrime is a growing issue with the rise of remote work, so it is vital to use tools that offer E2EE and strong security features to safeguard data and ensure compliance.  By ML Staff
