- Famed Photographer Clyde Butcher Presents S.W.A.M.P. Wander: A Community Celebration of Big Cypress National Preserve
World-renowned photographer Clyde Butcher and his wife, Niki, invite the public to join them for Swamp Wander, a free community celebration and fundraiser dedicated to the beauty and importance of Big Cypress National Preserve. The event will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clyde Butcher Big Cypress Gallery, 52388 Tamiami Trail East, Ochopee, FL. (Mile Marker 54.5) Photo/Dan Vanderkooy Swamp Wander is the inaugural event hosted by Friends of Big Cypress National Preserve, a newly formed nonprofit founded by Clyde Butcher and community leaders to raise awareness and financial support for one of Florida’s most vital landscapes. This first fundraiser will directly support the Preserve’s Swamp Water And Me Program (S.W.A.M.P.), ensuring students continue to experience the swamp through hands-on education. “Big Cypress has given me peace, healing, and inspiration for decades,” said Clyde Butcher. “Now, through Friends of Big Cypress, we have a way to give back, protect this Preserve, and inspire others to join us in ensuring its future.” A Day of Art, Nature, and Community Visitors will have the rare opportunity to meet Clyde and Niki Butcher inside the gallery and view Clyde’s iconic black and white photographs. Outside, rangers and conservation partners will host interactive booths and presentations designed to bring the swamp’s science, wildlife, and cultural history to life. Guided Swamp Walks Offered All Day The highlight of the event will be guided swamp walk tours offered all day long, led by trained Friends of Big Cypress volunteers. Guests can choose from three different walks, ranging from $35 to $100 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Preserve’s Swamp Water And Me Program (S.W.A.M.P.). Reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. These immersive tours take participants directly into the landscapes Clyde has photographed for decades, offering an unforgettable encounter with cypress trees, orchids, ferns, and wildlife. Participants should be prepared to get wet during the experience and are encouraged to bring a change of clothes and shoes. To schedule a tour and reserve a time, visit FriendsofBigCypress.com or call the Big Cypress Gallery at 239-695-2428. Parking and Shuttle Service Parking at the gallery is limited. Overflow parking will be available at the Oasis Visitor Center, with free shuttle service running throughout the day from 9am-3pm to and from the gallery. Supporting Tomorrow’s Scientists Funds raised through Swamp Wander will support the Swamp Water And Me Program (S.W.A.M.P.), a curriculum-based program offered to all 6th grade students in Collier County Public Schools, along with several private and charter schools. Nearly 3,000 students each year step into Big Cypress as “scientists for a day,” studying water, soil, plants, and wildlife while discovering the importance of protecting this ecosystem. S.W.A.M.P. is not fully funded by the National Park Service or the school district. It is a donation-driven program that relies on community support to continue. Without contributions from events like Swamp Wander, thousands of children would miss the chance to connect with the Preserve firsthand. About Friends of Big Cypress Formed in partnership with the National Park Service, Friends of Big Cypress National Preserve works to raise awareness, provide financial support for education and conservation programs, and build community partnerships that ensure the long-term protection of the Preserve. “Swamp Wander is our first step in building a community of people who care deeply about Big Cypress and its future,” said Friends of Big Cypress By ML Staff. - How Roccabella Yachts Geneva Bridges Alpine Sophistication and Sea-Bound Luxury
Geneva sits between the Alps and a wide world of water. It is a city of quiet taste, smart planning, and smooth service. Roccabella Yachts Geneva brings that spirit to the sea. It turns Swiss calm into yachting joy, from Lake Geneva to the French Riviera, Sardinia, and beyond. At the heart of this story is a simple idea. The right team makes luxury feel easy. With Roccabella Yachts Geneva, the path from your city schedule to a sunset swim is clear, calm, and well planned. The Geneva Standard Meets the Sea Geneva is known for order, detail, and trust. These values matter when you plan a week at sea. A Geneva yacht broker understands busy travel calendars, privacy needs, and fast changes. They help clients who want clear options and no stress. You want choices that fit your taste. You want timing that fits your life. You want service that is precise and kind. Roccabella Yachts keeps that standard. The team listens, asks the right questions, and builds a trip that feels like you. Think of it as Swiss timing on a blue horizon. Why Geneva Shapes Luxury Yachting Geneva is a gateway, not just a lake city. It connects Alpine life with coastal life. This is why a Geneva yacht broker often leads trips that start with a short flight to Nice, Olbia, Palma, or Athens. From there, your yacht plan begins without fuss. Geneva offers: Easy links to major Med hubs. A culture that values discretion. A clear approach to time and service. These points matter when wind, weather, or family plans change. A broker who knows Geneva can adjust fast, share updates with care, and keep your schedule intact. How Roccabella Yachts Geneva Aligns Alps and Sea Alpine sophistication is about balance. It is quiet power, clean lines, and warm details. Roccabella Yachts Geneva brings that feel to yacht charters and sales. A Geneva yacht broker focuses on the fit: the right yacht, the right crew, the right plan. For charters: The team matches your style with the yacht’s layout, toys, and chef skills. For sales: The team looks at build quality, service history, and resale outlook. For management: The team keeps operations tight, so you enjoy the yacht, not the paperwork. The result is simple. Life in the Alps and life at sea can share the same tone. Calm, smart, and well run. From Lake Geneva to the Med: A Smooth Charter Flow Here is how a typical trip works when you plan with a Geneva yacht broker. You choose dates and a region. You share your must-haves. You get a shortlist of yachts that match your size, budget, and plans. You pick. The team handles the rest. A common path is: Fly from Geneva to Nice or Olbia. Board in Antibes, Cannes, or Sardinia. Cruise short, sweet legs with low stress and high joy. This flow keeps travel time short and sea time long. Your first day can be a coastal lunch, a swim in a calm bay, and a sunset on deck. It is that direct. Local Roots, Global Reach A Geneva base gives you a trusted point of contact. Yet the reach is global. The team works with captains, marinas, chefs, and guides across the Med and beyond. You get local care with worldwide access. Alpine Sophistication in Design and Service Alpine taste shows in three ways at sea: design, silence, and craft. Many Geneva clients like yachts with clean interiors, soft light, and quiet cabins. They want deck spaces that feel private and flexible. They also value smooth tech that does not get in the way. Roccabella Yachts helps you find: Layouts that fit families, friends, or work groups. Crew styles that match your rhythm, food, and privacy needs. Yachts with low noise levels, strong stabilization, and smart storage. This is what Alpine sophistication looks like at sea. No show. Just comfort, care, and flow. Comfort You Can Feel Good design is not just about looks. It is how you move from cabin to deck, how the salon feels in the afternoon sun, how the master cabin stays cool and calm at anchor. These details turn a nice trip into a great one. A Simple Case Study: One Week That Feels Like You Here is a simple example to show the process. A family of four wants a quiet week in Sardinia in June. They like calm bays, good food, and short hops. Step 1: The brief. The family shares dates, a budget range, and food notes. Step 2: The shortlist. Three yachts fit. Each has a similar size and crew, yet different deck layouts. Step 3: The pick. They chose the yacht with a larger swim platform and a chef who loves local seafood. Step 4: The plan. Fly from Geneva to Olbia. Board in Porto Cervo. Daily runs of one to two hours. Step 5: The joy. Paddle at sunrise, lunch on board, a short snorkel, and a calm dinner on deck. This simple arc is not a promise. It is an example of how clear planning and the right match can make a week feel like your favorite room, only with a sea breeze. Buying, Selling, and Management with Confidence Charter is only one side of the story. Many Geneva clients also look at ownership. They want clear data and steady support. Roccabella Yachts Geneva guides buyers and sellers with the same calm pace used in charter planning. For buyers: The team reviews condition, build yard, refit scope, and running costs. For sellers: The team sets a smart price, builds a clean brief, and reaches real buyers. For owners: The team handles compliance, crew, yard time, and budgets. This is how Alpine order meets sea-bound assets. You get a clear picture before you act, and steady care after you act. Safety and Compliance Safety is not a trend. It is the base. The team tracks flag rules, insurance needs, and crew standards. You get peace of mind and proof on file. Transparent Costs and Smart Planning Luxury feels easy when numbers are clear. A simple outline helps you plan without stress. Here are common cost parts for a charter: Base rate: The weekly yacht price. APA: An advance for fuel, food, drinks, and port fees. You see full spending. VAT: Varies by country and route. Gratuity: At your discretion, often linked to service quality. With clear terms, you can focus on sunsets, not spreadsheets. Timing Tips for the Med Book early for July and August. Try June or September for calmer bays and warm water. Keep transfers short to maximize deck time. These small moves add up to a smoother week. Experiences That Feel Personal Yachting is not only about the yacht. It is the moments. Roccabella Yachts builds simple experiences that fit your style. A guided swim in a clear cove. A market stroll with the chef at dawn. A quiet beach picnic after a short tender ride. A night at anchor with a sky full of stars. Each touch is small. Together, they feel like your own story. Sustainability and Responsible Luxury Many clients want joy at sea with care for the sea. Smart choices can help. Pick routes with short legs to lower fuel use. Choose yachts with modern engines and good stabilization. Use local, seasonal food. Reduce single-use items on board. These steps keep your trip clean, calm, and kind to the water. Why Discerning Clients Choose Roccabella Yachts Geneva Trust, taste, and time. These three words guide smart travel. With Roccabella Yachts Geneva, you get a team that listens first and plans with care. You get access to a wide fleet, strong crew networks, and honest advice. You also get support before, during, and after your trip. For many, that is the key. You want less noise and more life. You want a steady hand at each step. You want a partner who knows when to offer ten choices and when to offer one clear pick. Local Insight, Lasting Value A Geneva base gives insight into how local clients travel. It shapes how the team sets pace, privacy, and tone. Over time, that insight turns into lasting value in both charter and ownership. How to Start Your Journey Begin with a brief. Share your dates, group size, and style. Add a wish list of places or foods you love. The team will turn that into a clear plan. If you want quiet, try the shoulder months. If you want energy, choose peak season ports. If you want discovery, mix famous bays with hidden coves. With a plan in place, your first day at sea will feel easy and bright. Conclusion Geneva sets a high bar for service, taste, and time. Roccabella Yachts Geneva brings that bar to the sea and makes it feel natural. A Geneva yacht broker understands how to blend Alpine order with ocean freedom. The result is a trip that is calm, warm, and deeply personal. Whether you charter, buy, or sell, you get clear advice and kind care. That is how Alpine sophistication meets sea-bound luxury, and how your next journey can feel both rare and real. By ML Staff. - Toni Bravo – the “CEO of Blush” – is Taking the Beauty World by Storm
From running social media at Rare Beauty to being crowned the “CEO of Blush,” Toni Bravo’s rise has been nothing short of dazzling. The Long Beach native turned Los Angeles powerhouse has become one of the most influential voices in beauty and fashion today – blending creativity, inclusivity, and undeniable charisma. With over 700k followers, collaborations with brands like Tower 28 , Coach , and Rhode , and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honor under her belt, Toni is redefining what it means to lead with both style and substance. Now, as she prepares for her first fragrance launch and continues shaping the beauty industry one shade at a time, Toni is proving that her impact is only just beginning. Miami Living (ML) : You’ve been dubbed “the CEO of Blush” and even called “The Blush Queen” by the New York Times. What do you think it is about blush – specifically – that became your signature and resonated so strongly with your audience? Toni Bravo (TB): Blush was what I was most afraid of, so I tried it on camera. The pop of color was intimidating to me, but I think my honesty and novice in the space struck a chord with my audience, beginners or otherwise. ML: Inclusivity is at the heart of your work, from testing hundreds of blush shades on your own skin tone to helping brands expand their ranges. What’s one moment where you felt, “This is why I do this”? TB: When I began to see my consultation work result in shades on shelves. The behind-the-scenes work was pinch-me worthy already, having brands really listen and admire my feedback. But seeing the shades that I had a hand on expanding be available to buy, and seeing the smiles on the faces of people who test them in a new try-on video: priceless. ML: You started your career behind the scenes at Rare Beauty . How did those early experiences shape the way you approach your own brand today? TB: I started my career at my first big girl job, Buzzfeed, while actually being a junior at UC Irvine. I was there for about a year, learning about all the ways I love and loathe the internet, lol. I then left and graduated college. A week after graduation, I began my 6-month long work experience at Rare Beauty . I believe all of the experiences I have had up until now have allowed me to gain perspective into my career in many ways. I've learned what I enjoy, what I don't enjoy, and everything in between. When approaching my own brand, everyday is truly a new learning opportunity. ML: Your upcoming fragrance launch with Le Monde Gourmand (congratulations!) marks a new chapter in your career. How do you want people to feel when they wear your scent? TB: Thank you!! I want people to feel at home when they wear Aura de Vanille . I crafted it to be a scent that felt new, but familiar at the same time. Mixing together all of my favorite vanilla milk notes, plum & saffron, among other notes, I wanted this scent to be a reflection of the beautiful yet sweet complexity of my lifestyle now :) ML: This fall, you’ll be hitting Paris, Milan, and New York Fashion Weeks after starting with Coach last year. How do you see your role evolving in fashion alongside your beauty influence? TB: I attended both New York and Paris this fashion week and it was such an amazing experience. I absolutely love to immerse myself in spaces that feel as expressive as fashion week does, it's so inspiring. To me fashion and beauty go hand and hand, both informing each other every day for me. I'd love to continue to explore expressing & discovering my style with my audience and who knows, maybe a collab or edit in the future! ML: Renovating your new 1920s Spanish-style home sounds like a dream project. What’s been the most exciting or surprising part of blending your personal style into a space you’ll live in every day? TB: Working with the Proem team has been a dream and a half. I discovered Ashley and Marie's work through an AD tour video and the rest was history. Working with a professional team that knows how to timelessly blend my ideas into my space in a way I could never have imagined has been such a beautiful learning opportunity for me. I spend so much time at home, it was so important that it felt like me, and they could not have done a better job. ML: From Rolling Stone’s “25 Most Influential Creators” to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 , your rise has been meteoric. How do you stay grounded and connected to your Long Beach roots while living this fast-paced life? TB: Honestly, I am surrounded by so many amazing people in my life that feel like they exist outside of work, which is so important. I also make time to go back home to Long Beach whenever I can :) It always feels so grounding to be able to go home, see family, and then return back to the hustle and bustle of it all. ML: Looking ahead, what legacy do you want to leave in beauty and fashion – beyond the titles, lists, and collaborations? TB: More than anything, I'd hope to inspire people to feel like they can express themselves outside of any box that they might have imagined. Follow Toni on: Instagram | TikTok | YouTube By ML Staff.
