- Which Nut Butter Is Healthiest – Peanut, Almond or Cashew?
Once, the only nut butter on the supermarket shelf was peanut butter. Now you can also buy almond, cashew, hazelnut and macadamia nut butters, or blends. Robert Owen-Wahl/Pexels So which is the healthiest nut butter to spread on your toast? As we’ll see, the healthiest is not just about the actual nut. It’s also about what else goes in the jar. What do they all have in common? All nut butters are made from ground nuts that provide healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, plant-based protein, fibre. They also provide essential minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron. Across decades of research, regularly eating nuts is associated with a lower risk of heart disease and premature death. That benefit appears whether the nut is peanut, almond or cashew or any other type of nut. But many commercial products contain vegetable oils, palm oil, salt, sugar, or stabilisers to improve texture and shelf life. These added ingredients dilute the nutritional quality and increase salt or kilojoules without providing any health benefits. Choosing a nut butter made only from nuts (or nuts with minimal salt) means you get the full nutritional value. How do I choose a nut butter? Check the ingredients list. The healthiest options contain just one ingredient – nuts. Some added salt is fine, if minimal. But avoid products with seed oils (such as canola oil), palm oil, fillers or added sugars. Looking at the nutrients in each nut butter per serve (a tablespoon, about 16 grams) can highlight how they differ. The numbers vary slightly by brand. But when the product contains 100% nuts, the numbers don’t generally change dramatically between nuts. To keep things simple, we’ve focused on peanut, almond and cashew butters: protein: peanut butter wins slightly for protein content, at 3.84g per tablespoon, making it a solid choice for post-workout snacks or adding extra protein to your day. However, almond (3.36g) and cashew butters (2.82g) aren’t far behind. So they still contribute meaningful protein to your diet fat: almond butter takes the top spot for healthy fats (8.88g per tablespoon), followed closely by peanut (7.98g) and cashew butter (7.9g). The fats in nuts are mainly heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which have been associated with improved cholesterol levels and reduced inflammation carbohydrates: cashew butter contains the most carbohydrates (4.42g per tablespoon), which might be important if you’re looking for quick energy before a workout or if you have type 1 diabetes and are adjusting your medication based on your carbohydrate intake. Then comes peanut butter (3.49g), followed by almond butter (3.01g) fibre: almond butter takes the lead for fibre (1.65g per tablespoon) followed by peanut butter (1.06g). Cashew butter lags significantly behind (0.32g), about one-fifth of the almond butter’s content. This makes cashew butter the weakest option if you’re relying on nut butter to contribute to your daily fibre intake calcium: almond butter dramatically outperforms the others for calcium, with 55.5 milligrams per tablespoon. This offers about eight times more than peanut butter (6.56mg) and cashew butter (6.88mg). This makes almond butter an excellent choice for bone health, especially if you avoid dairy potassium: both peanut and almond butter tie for potassium content (120mg per tablespoon). This makes them useful for supporting healthy blood pressure and muscle function. Cashew butter contains 87.4mg iron: cashew butter leads the pack for iron (0.805mg for tablespoon), followed by almond butter (0.558mg) and peanut butter (0.304mg). This is particularly relevant for people with higher iron needs, such as those menstruating, pregnant or breastfeeding, or people following plant-based diets. But overall, nut butters are not a meaningful source of iron zinc: cashew butter (0.826mg per tablespoon) offers nearly twice the zinc of peanut butter (0.445mg). Almond butter’s zinc content is in the middle (0.526mg). This makes cashew butter valuable for immune function and wound healing selenium: cashew butter provides the most selenium (1.84 micrograms per tablespoon), an important antioxidant mineral that supports thyroid function. Peanut butter comes in second (1.2µg), while almond butter contains notably less (0.384µg) magnesium: almond butter leads for magnesium (44.6mg per tablespoon). Close behind is cashew butter (41.3mg), then peanut butter (25.4mg). This mineral is crucial for muscle relaxation, sleep quality and energy production. In a nutshell Each nut butter has distinct nutritional advantages: peanut butter leads in protein and ties with almond butter for potassium, making it ideal for muscle support and feeling full almond butter is the standout for calcium, and is also higher in fibre, magnesium and heart-healthy fats. This makes it an excellent choice for bone health, digestion and cardiovascular support cashew butter is naturally sweet and is the strongest source of minerals such as iron, zinc and selenium. These are essential for immune function, energy production and thyroid health. However, it is the lowest in both protein and fibre. So while it contributes valuable micronutrients, it’s better suited as an occasional option rather than a primary protein source. Any concerns? Often, almond and cashew butters are processed on equipment that’s been used to process peanuts or other nuts. So traces of one nut may appear in another nut butter, which is stated on the label. So if you have a specific nut allergy, check labels carefully. The cost also varies. Almond and cashew butters are usually slightly more expensive (at around A$2.40 per 100g) compared with about $1.82 per 100g for peanut butter. What now? No single nut butter reigns supreme as each brings different nutritional strengths. The smartest approach would be to keep more than one on hand, choose versions made from 100% nuts, and let your taste preferences and nutritional goals guide you. - How Miami Has Helped Change The Face of F1 in the USA
Image by DepositPhotos Formula 1 has never been more popular in America. After the 2005 United States Grand Prix, where only six cars took part due to tire issues and the fans rightly revolted, there were serious worries about whether the sport would ever find its place in the USA again. The sport even completely withdrew from the United States in 2007. In 2012, though, F1 made its first, tentative return. At the custom-built Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, Grand Prix racing finally came back stateside, with around 250,000 drawn to the action. By the 2020s, this had ballooned to over 420,000 flocking to the circuit over all three days. The sport is enjoying a resurgence, spearheaded by Liberty Media’s $4.4bn takeover of the sport’s commercial rights in 2017. The grandstands are full, the paddock is one of the most exclusive places to be, and fans at home are glued to their TVs. It’s even becoming popular among bettors, with players able to collect a Stake.us bonus drop code for the races. It’s been a remarkable recovery story, and Miami is at the heart of it. Liberty turns around F1’s dark days One of the first things Liberty did after gaining control of Formula 1 was completely change how the sport was marketed. Original commercial rights owner Bernie Ecclestone had previously been against social media, and ignored appealing to everyday fans to prioritize the super-wealthy. Liberty flipped this on its head. Along with allowing teams and drivers much more freedom with what they posted on social media, it also opened the secretive world of Formula 1 up. The Netflix series Drive to Survive is one of sport’s great marketing success stories, as it brought in countless new fans. It’s a model now copied by almost every major sport in the world, and even some individual teams, and created a new genre of sports documentary. With F1’s image in the United States rehabilitated, Liberty decided it was time to expand. This is where Miami’s role comes into things. Miami spearheads a new generation of races Image by DepositPhotos Formula 1 has traditionally held one race per country. This works well in the smaller nations across Europe, Asia and the Middle East that make up most of F1’s race dates. The United States, though, is a different beast. One race was no longer going to cut it. The first race added alongside the United States Grand Prix at COTA was the Miami Grand Prix. Held on a street track around Hard Rock Stadium, and using the grass infield as the teams’ main staging area, the race blended F1’s new popularity with the city’s trademark vibrancy. The event has been a huge success. Celebrities have flocked, top tech sponsors such as Orcale, Anthropic, Google and Microsoft have all identified it as a key race to attend, and the hospitality areas are some of the most sought after all year. The Miami Grand Prix has created a blueprint for what a new-style F1 race can be. It blends the sport’s raw action with the host city’s exuberance, and the paddock’s exclusivity. The ‘Miami Model’ is one F1 has run with, and has helped create perhaps the sport’s greatest spectacle. In 2023, a year after Miami’s debut, F1 held its return to Las Vegas. The sport had been there in the past, but this was on a small track held in an off-strip parking lot. This time, the Strip itself would be the key feature of the track as the cars raced directly through Sin City’s landmarks. Along with the longstanding Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal and Mexican Grand Prix in Mexico City, North America now has five Grand Prix. This has been instrumental in helping the continent feel a part of F1, rather than it being just a leg in a European-based series. Liberty’s revolution of how F1 is seen was one of the key building blocks of this, with Drive to Survive pulling in millions of new American fans, as well as guiding lapsed ones back to the sport. The blueprint of how to capitalize on this, though, comes directly from Miami, and the success of the Miami Grand Prix. By ML Staff. Images courtesy of DepositPhotos
- What to Look for in a Car Accident Lawyer Near You
Image by DepositPhotos After a crash, many people search online for “car accident lawyer near me” because they need answers before the paperwork and calls become overwhelming. The better question is what makes a nearby attorney the right fit for a serious injury claim. In New York, that choice can be crucial because busy streets, rideshare vehicles, commercial traffic, no-fault rules, and strict filing deadlines can make even a basic claim feel hard to read. A competent lawyer should offer more than a nearby office. Look for someone who understands how to handle local crash reports, how medical records support damages, and how insurers respond when fault or injury severity is under dispute. A collision can leave injured people juggling pain care, repair estimates, wage loss, and insurer calls within days. Pressure builds quickly when treatment plans, transport limits, and household costs all need immediate attention. Sound legal help starts with clear markers that show how an attorney works under strain. Local Experience For many families, the first search after a wreck is the nearest attorney, yet distance alone says little about ability. Familiarity with nearby roads, hospital systems, police reporting practices, and courthouse routines can shape timing, access to evidence, and claim value. That local footing helps injured people judge whether an insurer is minimizing losses or reading the file fairly. Case Focus Practice focus matters early because injury claims demand a different approach than wills, contracts, or property disputes. A lawyer who spends most days on collision files usually reads treatment records faster and identifies liability issues sooner. That focus also helps with wage documentation, future care estimates, and policy limit questions. Breadth can look impressive, yet a focused level of experience often produces cleaner case development. Track Record Past outcomes never guarantee a matching result, though patterns still reveal useful information. Families should look for consistent performance across settlements, litigation, and severe-injury claims. Public records, court appearances, and client feedback may show whether the attorney carries matters from intake through resolution. One considerable award can attract attention, while consistent results over time usually tell a stronger story. Communication Style Clear communication protects clients during a period already filled with medical appointments and financial strain. Some offices answer quickly but leave important points vague, which can create confusion later. A strong lawyer explains records requests, filing dates, insurer contacts, and likely delays in straightforward language. Honest expectations matter because recovery timelines, treatment progress, and claim value rarely move in a straight line. Fees and Costs You should review the fee terms before signing any agreement. Many injury attorneys charge a contingency fee, meaning payment depends on recovery. Even then, families need direct answers about filing expenses, expert invoices, record charges, and lien handling. Written terms reduce disputes later and help clients compare firms on a level playing field. Straightforward billing language often reflects disciplined office practice. Investigation Process Strong cases depend on evidence gathered before physical marks fade and digital footage disappears. An attorney should move quickly for crash reports, witness statements, scene images, vehicle damage records, and treatment notes. Delay can weaken fault analysis, injury causation, and property valuation. Early investigation also helps identify road design issues, commercial ownership, or electronic data that may otherwise get lost. Image by DepositPhotos Insurance Pressure Insurers often reach out soon after a wreck, sometimes before treatment patterns become clear. Early statements can lock injured people into incomplete descriptions of pain, mobility limits, or missed work. A capable lawyer manages those contacts, reviews policy language carefully, and challenges blame shifting. That measured response can prevent a rushed settlement from leaving future therapy, imaging, or wage loss unpaid. Trial Readiness Most vehicle injury claims resolve without trial, yet courtroom readiness still affects settlement posture. Insurance carriers assess whether opposing counsel can organize evidence, question witnesses, and present medical proof clearly. Weak preparation often lowers offers because the defense sees little risk in holding firm. Actual trial experience can change that calculation and give negotiation more credibility from the start. Medical Understanding Records and Recovery Injury files often rely on medical detail rather than dramatic storytelling. Lawyers do not diagnose patients, though they should understand how imaging, physician notes, therapy progress, and work restrictions support causation. Cervical strain, concussion symptoms, fracture healing, and nerve irritation each affect daily function differently. Careful review helps connect the crash with pain patterns, treatment needs, and future physical limits. Reputation Clues Reputation offers another practical signal when families compare counsel. Reviews alone are not enough, yet repeated comments about responsiveness, honesty, and respectful treatment can be informative. Court familiarity, professional standing, and community presence may add useful context. Marketing language says very little by itself. A solid reputation usually grows from careful case handling and dependable client communication over many years. Conclusion Choosing counsel after a collision should rest on practical signs, focused experience in injury cases, clear communication, and a strong command of medical evidence. Injured people need an attorney who investigates quickly, explains fees plainly, manages insurer pressure, and stays prepared for court if required. Careful comparison can reduce avoidable risk during a physically and financially stressful period. In the right hands, legal support brings structure, calm, and informed direction when stability feels hard to regain. By ML Staff. Images courtesy of DepositPhotos

- *Not Naked Swim* Makes Miami Swim Week Debut, Introducing a Chic New Middle Ground in Modern Swimwear
A new swimwear label is redefining what modern coverage looks like. This past Saturday, May 30, women-owned swimwear brand Not Naked Swim officially debuted its inaugural collection at Miami Swim Week 2026, introducing a fresh perspective to a category long divided between ultra-revealing silhouettes and overly modest alternatives. Presented to a Miami audience of fashion insiders, media, buyers, and a global livestream audience, the brand’s first runway collection showcased elevated, full-coverage swimwear designed for women who want sophistication, confidence, and practicality without sacrificing style. Founded by Alejandra M, MBA and Morgan W, Not Naked Swim was born from a simple observation: women were being asked to choose between trendy swimwear that felt overly exposed or modest options that often felt outdated. The founders believed there was a missing middle ground. Morgan Winter (Not Naked Swim co-founder) “We created the brand we couldn’t find,” said co-founder Morgan Winter. “Coverage shouldn’t mean compromise. Women deserve swimwear that feels stylish, elevated, and confidence-building whether they’re at a family vacation, a resort, or a work retreat.” Designed for real life, Not Naked Swim blends fashion-forward silhouettes with thoughtful functionality. Each piece features UPF 50+ sun protection and is cut and sewn by hand in the United States in small batches, emphasizing craftsmanship and intentional production over mass manufacturing. Sustainability is embedded throughout the brand’s supply chain. The collection is crafted using recycled materials, shipped in ocean-recycled packaging, and paired with plantable seed-paper care instructions, small details designed to reduce waste while creating a more thoughtful customer experience. The launch also reflects a broader shift happening across fashion and lifestyle categories: consumers increasingly seeking pieces that align with how they actually live balancing style, comfort, versatility, and values. For Not Naked Swim, that means creating swimwear equally suited for a luxury resort, a beach day with children, or a corporate retreat by the water. Following its Miami Swim Week debut, the brand will officially open pre-orders on June 15, 2026. To join the early-access list, visit notnakedswim.com or follow along on Instagram @notnakedswimwear.
