I’m tracking May events in Miami for 2026. The month starts with the Miami Grand Prix and the Cadillac Championship, includes the Hyundai Air & Sea Show over Memorial Day Weekend, and wraps with the American Black Film Festival and Paraiso Miami Swim Week. The Miami Grand Prix 2026 takes place from May 1 to 3 at the Miami International Autodrome around Hard Rock Stadium. The event brings together top drivers, competitive racing, and a strong presence of global brands and celebrities, making it one of the main highlights of early May.

The PGA Tour returns to Miami with the Cadillac Championship, set for April 29 to May 3, 2026 at Trump National Doral. As a signature event, it will feature a limited field of top-ranked players competing on the Blue Monster course, marking the Tour’s first stop at the venue in a decade.

The University of Miami Spring Commencement is a series of formal graduation ceremonies to celebrate students across the university’s various schools and programs. It takes place primarily at the Watsco Center on the university campus, going through May 7-11, 2026. The multi-day event includes individual ceremonies, such as the School of Law ceremony, where degrees are conferred and graduates are recognized alongside faculty, family, and guests.


During Memorial Day Weekend, on May 23–24, 2026, the Hyundai Air & Sea Show returns to Miami Beach. The event features fighter jet flyovers, military demonstrations, and large public crowds along the shoreline, making it one of the biggest patriotic showcases in the country.

In the movie scene, the American Black Film Festival will be hosted at the Miami Beach Convention Center from May 27–31, 2026, bringing five days of film screenings and industry panels. Now in its 30th edition, it remains a key platform for Black creators and a consistent draw for talent and cultural figures during Miami’s peak event calendar.

Taking place May 28–31, 2026 in Miami Beach, Paraiso Miami Swim Week brings together designers, brands, and industry players for a packed schedule of runway shows, activations, and events, reinforcing the city’s role as a global hub for swimwear and resortwear.

The inaugural edition of the Miami Beach Youth Sports & Wellness Festival is a free, three-day community event taking place May 29–31, 2026, at Flamingo Park in Miami Beach, bringing together youth sports, fitness, and wellness programming in an inclusive, family-friendly environment.

Through the whole month, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket takes place every Saturday until May 30, 2026, at the Waterfront Commons. Now in its 31st season, the award-winning market features local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, plants, and specialty items, along with live music, family-friendly activities and seasonal programming.

At last, the Bass Museum of Art will host the United States of Creativity event on Sunday, May 31, inviting families and visitors to take part in an interactive art experience that celebrates the 250th anniversary of the US through collaborative creation, where individual pieces made with color materials come together as a unified installation reflecting diversity and creativity.
