This is just months before residents’ summer 2024 ahead-of-schedule move-in. ALINA Residences, currently under construction, is an award-winning, world-class residential destination in the heart of downtown Boca Raton. Noam Ziv, CEO of El-Ad National Properties; and Jay Phillip Parker, CEO of Brokerage, Douglas Elliman Florida Region and President of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, Florida turned on the power at the property on Feb. 6, 2024. This milestone is yet another example of continuing construction progress at ALINA Residences. Residential flooring installation is almost complete to make way for custom Italian cabinets and Gaggenau appliances. In February, ALINA 210’s amenity deck hardscape adjacent to The Boca Raton golf course will be installed and operational, with lush landscaping to follow. Other upcoming construction milestones for this bespoke building include elaborate Italian art mosaic tile installation for the spa, which will include a sauna, steam room and the ability for residents to create their own personalized thermal circuit. The finish of the two-story lobby will include hand cut walnut sculptural walls as well as an 11-foot wide by over 17 feet high installation by Plant the Future, a Miami-based award-winning Biophilic Art Studio founded in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. ALINA 210 and 220, two nine-story buildings which comprise phase two of ALINA Residences, are more than 70% sold and will complete the project. ALINA 210’s move-in ready residences are expected to be delivered ahead of schedule in summer 2024. • Feeding South Florida Announces its Fifth Annual “Feed Your Creativity” Art Competition

Feeding South Florida®, the leading hunger-relief organization in South Florida, is excited to announce its Fifth Annual “Feed Your Creativity” Art Competition. Elementary, middle, and high school students throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties are invited to participate for the opportunity to have their artwork displayed on one of Feeding South Florida's semi-trailer truck wrap – a 36-foot moving billboard that travels throughout South Florida. Feeding South Florida will accept artwork submissions Feb. 1 through April 30. The art competition is part of Feeding South Florida’s “Summer Hunger Ends Here” initiative, designed to raise the awareness and funds necessary to address summer hunger for kids in South Florida. It’s aimed to engage students, their parents, teachers and schools in a critical issue, while also recognizing the artistic talent in the community. Summer months are some of the most difficult times for South Florida families because when school is not in session, children don’t have access to free or reduced-price school meals. In South Florida more than 300,000 kids rely on free or reduced meals during the school year. Seeking to help fill the void of school meals, Feeding South Florida is a proud sponsor of the USDA Summer Food Service Program, providing meals to kids at Summer BreakSpots, pop-up pantries in low-income communities. Feeding South Florida also assists families at its Community Caring Centers, food pantries, along with other services at both of its warehouses in Pembroke Park in Broward County and Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County. “We’re excited to kick off our fifth annual ‘Feed Your Creativity’ Art Competition that kicks off our ‘Summer Hunger Ends Here’ campaign,” said Paco Vélez, president and CEO of Feeding South Florida. “When school is out for summer, kids may not have access to free or reduced meals, leaving them hungry as their parents struggle to find additional resources for food. Participating in the ‘Feed Your Creativity’ Art Competition allows students the opportunity to showcase their artistic talent while raising awareness about the critical issue of hunger in kids in South Florida.” The first-place winner will be awarded: Artwork is displayed as a truck wrap on a 36-foot tractor/trailer that travels throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Artwork prominently displayed at Feeding South Florida’s Pembroke Park warehouse. Announcement on social media platforms including Facebook, X and Instagram. All artwork will be displayed during a Gallery Night on Thursday, May 16, where winners will be announced. The truck reveal celebration will be held at the school of the first-place winner on Thursday, May 30. Please visit https://feedingsouthflorida.org/fyc24 for more information, including the competition toolkit, key dates, additional awards and how to submit final artwork online. Southworth’s The Abaco Club on Great Abaco Island, The Bahamas, is pleased to announce the appointments of three executives to their leadership team: Michael Flint assumes the role of General Manager, Morris Wilkes joins the team as Food & Beverage Director and Moses Haven steps into the position of Executive Chef. The appointments come at a pivotal time for The Abaco Club, as the private club and residential community is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar investment in new residential real estate developments, amenities and member services. Chef Moses will work alongside Wilkes to execute his culinary vision for the club, implementing new menus and culinary programming, as well as focusing on training and team building. “We are thrilled to welcome these three exceptional leaders to The Abaco Club,” said Southworth President Tommy Southworth. “Michael’s extensive experience leading prestigious member- and guest-focused organizations around the world, and his rich knowledge in club operations, member experience and team leadership, along with Morris Wilkes and Chef Moses’ deep culinary expertise and passion, align perfectly with our vision of delivering a best-in-class array of services and experiences for our members. We’re excited to see where their collaboration at The Abaco Club takes us.” Born and raised in Jamaica, Michael Flint brings a wealth of experience, with over 35 years in the luxuryclub and resort industry. Since starting his career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotels in 1987, Flint has ascended through the ranks, initially on the food & beverage side, honing his expertise at luxury establishments such as Boca Raton Club & Resort, Delano Hotel in Miami, Sanderson & St. Martin’s Lane Hotels in London, and PPHE Hotel Group. After transitioning to operations management, Flint’s esteemed career includes leadership roles at globally acclaimed private clubs and residences, such as The Albany in The Bahamas and, most recently, Mövenpick Hotel & Residences and Muthaiga Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya. In the private club space, Wilkes worked as the Director of Food & Beverage at Bakers Bay Golf & Resort & Beach Club in The Bahamas, opening a new 150 seat restaurant and training an entirely new team, and most recently worked as the task force Director of Food & Beverage at The Ruby Club, a private club nestled within the gated community of Pleasanton, California,, where a big component of his role was creating exciting events for a younger generation – a component that is equally as important to The Abaco Club, who place a strong focus on unique programming and events. Chef Moses Haven brings over 20 years of culinary experience to his new role leading the restaurants and food & beverage programming and operations at The Abaco Club. A graduate of the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, Haven worked his way up at several upscale Florida restaurants before moving to The Bahamas and taking on Head Chef and Executive Sous Chef roles in some of the country’s most reputable clubs and resorts including Atlantis Paradise Island, Lyford Cay Club and Albany Resort, where he worked alongside Flint. Moses is excited to call The Bahamas home again as he returns to take The Abaco Club’s culinary offerings to new heights. These leadership appointments come at a crucial time for The Abaco Club as they move into this next phase alongside the Southworth rebrand, with a focus on building community and authentic connection, expanding their extraordinary experiences, and strategic residential development. Over the next two years, members will see enhancements such as the addition of the highly anticipated Winding Bay Beach Club; renovations to The Cliff House & Tip-Top restaurants; three new space activations where guests can gather for anything from beachside drinks with a view to sunrise yoga; and a dedicated amenities corridor with more pickleball courts and even a new putting course designed by Abaco resident, Club Ambassador and Open Champion Darren Clarke. In addition to all of this, the newest and most exciting neighborhood, The Cays at The Abaco Club, designed by AvroKO, will open phase one in 2024.
