- Arlo Wynwood Announces Miami Art Week 2025 Program and Debut of Arlo After Dark in Miami
Arlo Wynwood , the first hotel to open in Miami’s preeminent creative and cultural district, has unveiled its Miami Art Week 2025 programming . From December 1-7, the entire property will serve as a dynamic hub for art, wellness and community, showcasing works by multidisciplinary artist François Piacente , digital illustrator Reyna Noriega, pop artist Greg Mike and more alongside an immersive ART ACCESS takeover and the Wynwood debut of Arlo After Dark . With more than 250 works displayed throughout the hotel and a consistent calendar of cultural programming, Arlo Wynwood has become a natural gathering point for artists, travelers and locals alike. During Miami Art Week, the property amplifies that creative energy, transforming into a destination where art, sound and social connection unfold from morning to late night. Anchoring this year’s programming is the all-day ART ACCESS takeover on December 6, a multi-floor activation that brings together a global group of artists whose perspectives reflect the creativity, diversity and cultural richness of Wynwood. Designed as an open-flow concept, the event invites guests to explore installations, pop-ups, artist encounters and movement-based experiences. Pop-surrealist Greg Mike , known for his bold color palettes, sharp linework and signature character “Larry Loudmouf,” has influenced contemporary street culture across Atlanta, bridging graffiti and fine art with nostalgia and rebellion. During Miami Art Week at Arlo Wynwood, he presents several large-scale installations at the hotel’s Higher Ground lounge alongside a MAD POP takeover at its ground-floor restaurant, Wyn Wyn . Also at Higher Ground, French-born, Miami-based miniature artist François Piacente blends figurative realism with abstraction to explore the balance between strength and vulnerability. Working at an intimate scale, he creates detailed worlds that pair sculptural precision with expressive, gestural brushwork, offering layered reflections on resilience and the nuances of human connection. Miami-based Argentine artist Jeronimo Gauna introduces a rhythmic, architectural visual language through his “Dragon Wings” series, blending analog and digital techniques shaped by his global travels. Guided by his mission to “stain the world,” his work embodies movement, emotion and the pursuit of beauty through contrast. Meanwhile, Chuave Hernandez , a Miami-based artist known for his electrifying color palettes and graphic-driven narratives, channels the pulse of the city’s urban pop scene. His murals and canvases honor the rhythm, individuality and cultural pride that define modern Miami. The creative landscape expands further through the surrealist and abstract worlds of SOTO, a multidisciplinary artist whose vibrant compositions translate emotional and spiritual energy into bold, geometric forms, and Nour Yaaqobi , a self-taught 3D artist who turns introspection into sculptural form. Yaaqobi’s work centers on “QO,” a youthful figure that carries the weight of quiet feelings and unspoken experiences. Through his “Golden Tear Collection,” he reflects on the beauty found in life’s challenges, using the golden tear as a symbol of growth, strength and the lessons that shape us. In Arlo Wynwood’s third-floor gallery space, an exhibition curated by PRAZZLE will highlight five women shaping contemporary creative culture: Reyna Noriega , a Miami-born artist whose joyful, color-rich work celebrates women of color; Florencia Clement de Grandprey , known for her symbolic portrayals of Afro-Latina empowerment; Jade Cassidy , a Berlin-based South African multimedia artist exploring resilience; Mina Alikhani , whose textured pieces reflect emotional evolution; and Sophie Wong , an emerging Asian-American artist combining digital and traditional mediums to explore transformation and modern femininity. Together, their works reflect on identity, empowerment and the evolution of womanhood. Following successful editions in Williamsburg and Washington, D.C., Arlo After Dark , Arlo Hotels’ curated nightlife series program, will make its Miami debut in Wynwood, blending immersive lighting, LED visuals and projection art with live performances, complemented by bottle service, signature cocktails and a premium bar experience. The inaugural edition, presented as part of the ART ACCESS takeover, will feature the Brony Mixx Dance Project (BMDP), whose Afro-electronic fusion is shaped by Caribbean heritage; Flagrant Drvms , an NYC-based Afro-Latin house duo; and movement artist Ariana Belén Buscaglia, whose expressive style transforms music into emotion. - The Art of Outdoor Living: Where Luxury, Longevity and Nature Meet
There’s a quiet shift happening in luxury design — one that extends the beauty of interior spaces seamlessly into the outdoors. No longer an afterthought, a deck has become an architectural focal point, blending material innovation and sustainability to create modern outdoor living spaces. At the forefront of this evolution is Trex , a brand that has continually reimagined what’s possible in outdoor living for three decades. What began as an idea to create a more sustainable, durable alternative to wood has become a design movement, shaping the way we experience outdoor living. Today, that legacy continues with Trex Transcend® Lineage® and Trex Signature®, two collections that redefine the intersection of innovation, sustainability and style in low-maintenance decking. Elevating Outdoor Design: Trex Transcend® Lineage® Decking Trex Transcend Lineage composite decking represents the next evolution in design-led decking. The collection is distinguished by its subtle graining and rich, nature-inspired hues— qualities that mirror the natural materials found in today’s most sophisticated interiors. Designed with performance in mind, Lineage is crafted with Trex’s exclusive SunComfortable™ technology, engineered to be cooler* than their original boards. And with an array of colors to choose from, you’re guaranteed to find just the right shade of protection for your outdoor living space. *Trex SunComfortable™ decking stays cooler than our original boards, but like all decking, it will get hot in direct sun, especially darker colors. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children and those with special needs. Like all Trex decking, Lineage boards are sustainably made from up to 95% reclaimed and recycled materials and are engineered to resist fading, staining, scratching and mold. They won’t rot, warp, crack or splinter like wood, and upkeep is hassle-free — just an occasional cleaning with soap and water keeps boards looking new for decades. The Pinnacle of Style and Sustainability: Trex Signature® Decking For those drawn to the texture, warmth and depth of natural hardwoods, Trex Signature offers an aesthetic once thought impossible in composite decking. Using a different manufacturing process than any other Trex products, Signature decking is made of nature-inspired wood thermoplastic lumber (WTCL) for a look as much like wood as wood itself. The proprietary shell formulation creates an elegant grain pattern and a high-end finish that delivers the most realistic representation of wood attained to date while delivering the durability of composite decking. The collection is offered in two hues inspired by stunning natural settings — Ocracoke, which evokes the rich browns found on the secluded North Carolina island where nature is sheltered by sandy dunes and marshy shores, and Whidbey, which features variegated grey hues of the misty cliffs of the island in Washington State where salt-washed fog rolls in like a morning blanket. Beyond its beauty, Signature is built to endure the rigors of time and nature, featuring an ultra-resilient core and a proprietary, high-traffic surface formulation that resists scratches, stains and mold. And, it’s even backed by a 50-year Limited Residential and Fade & Stain Warranty. Sustainability, Elevated While both Lineage and Signature stand out for their refined aesthetics, they share something more profound — a design philosophy rooted in sustainability. Each Trex board is made from a blend of reclaimed wood and recycled plastic, diverting millions of pounds of waste from landfills each year. The result: eco-friendly decking that celebrates the look of nature without compromising it. As part of its commitment to environmental responsibility, Trex products are ICC-ES SAVE-certified, offering today’s eco-conscious consumers an environmentally responsible choice that feels as good as it looks. A Complete Vision of Modern Outdoor Living More than just decking, Trex offers a cohesive design ecosystem. Trex Signature® aluminum railing and coordinating fascia work in harmony with both the Lineage and Signature decking collections, allowing architects and homeowners to craft visually unified spaces that blur the boundary between indoors and out. From poolside retreats to elevated entertaining terraces, Trex surfaces become the foundation of moments that feel effortless, beautiful and lasting. For more information, visit Trex.com . - Miami Drivers: When A/C Problems Mean It’s Time To Sell Your Car
Image by Cottonbro Studio / Pexels Miami drivers are well aware of how brutal the heat can get, especially during the summer months when temperatures climb well above 90 degrees. A malfunctioning air conditioning system can turn a simple commute into a sweaty experience, making your vehicle nearly unbearable to drive. If your car’s AC is broken, you may be facing expensive repairs, hidden mechanical issues, and declining resale value. For many Miami car owners in this situation, the fastest solution is to sell your junk car. For a smooth and reliable experience, choose Family Car Buyers to sell your junk car in Miami and get cash quickly without the hassle. Even if your vehicle looks crisp, clean, and well-maintained on the outside, it may be hiding costly repairs on the inside. Issues like engine trouble or transmission failures can add up to much more than your car is worth. Miami’s humidity and salty air can also accelerate corrosion, turning minor cosmetic issues into significant structural problems. Add a broken air conditioning system to the mix, and you have a car that most buyers will shy away from. Selling it quickly to a trusted buyer ensures you get a fair price without wasting time or money on repairs that may never pay off. What Makes a Car a Junk Car Not every car with wear and tear qualifies as a junk car, but certain signs make it clear your vehicle has reached the end of its usable life. Even a car that looks shiny on the outside can hide problems that are expensive to fix. In Miami, common conditions that turn vehicles into junk include: Non-working air conditioning systems, which are especially critical in the city’s heat and humidity Engine problems or transmission failures that make the car unreliable High mileage paired with frequent breakdowns Extensive rust or corrosion caused by salt air and storms Electrical issues, including wiring and dashboard malfunctions Cosmetic damage, such as dents, scratches, or broken lights, decreases value Flood or water damage from seasonal storms Cars that no longer pass safety or emissions inspections Replacing or repairing these issues often costs more than the car’s market value. For example, fixing a non-functioning AC system in Miami can easily run over $1,000 depending on the make and model, and the process requires parts and labor that are hard to schedule. Most local buyers are unwilling to take on these costs, leaving many car owners stuck with a vehicle they cannot easily sell. Selling a junk car removes this stress while turning what seems like a burden into instant cash. Selling To a Specialized Junk Car Dealer Once you recognize your car is no longer practical, the best solution is to sell it to a specialized junk car dealer. These businesses are prepared to purchase cars of all conditions. Whether your car has high mileage, mechanical issues, cosmetic damage, or even lacks a title, they can make a fair offer and handle the details for you. Selling to a professional junk car dealer offers several advantages: They purchase vehicles regardless of necessary repairs, age, or cosmetic condition Many offer free towing directly from your location, whether you live in Brickell, Coconut Grove, or Kendall They can pay cash within a day or two, helping you get money fast Dealers handle DMV paperwork , making the sale legal and stress-free They accept cars with non-functioning air conditioners, saving you from costly repairs This process allows Miami residents in neighborhoods like Little Havana, Coral Gables, or Doral to sell cars quickly without wasting time on private buyers who may back out or make lowball offers. With the city’s heat making non-working AC systems a major drawback, a specialized buyer ensures your car doesn’t sit unsold while losing value . Take Action To Sell Your Junk Car In Miami A car with a broken air conditioner in Miami is not just uncomfortable; it can also be very hard to sell. Instead of spending hundreds or even thousands on repairs or waiting for a private buyer, you can work with a professional junk car dealer. They pay fast, offer free towing, and handle all the paperwork, so you can turn your old car into cash in just a few days. People all over Miami, including Wynwood, Homestead, and Aventura, can take advantage of this easy process. Make the move today and sell your junk car in Miami to get money for a vehicle you no longer need. By ML Staff. Image courtesy of Pexels
- Miami Design District Opens Art Week 2025 With Walking on Air Exhibition From the Craig Robins Collection
The Miami Design District opened Miami Art Week 2025 with the debut of Walking on Air, the latest exhibition drawn from the Craig Robins Collection. The event brought together figures from the art and design worlds for an evening hosted by Craig Robins at the Buick Building. The Craig Robins Collection includes more than 1,700 works of modern and contemporary art, displayed at Dacra’s headquarters in the district. The 2025–2026 rehang centers on Richard Tuttle, the most extensively represented artist in the collection, with works spanning from the mid-1960s to today. Early pieces such as Drift constructions (1965), tin Letters (1966), and dyed cloth works (1967) introduced themes of spatial lightness and material restraint—qualities that continue to define Tuttle’s practice. Within the exhibition, these works are situated alongside pieces that echo a similar engagement with chance, balance, and improvisation. Highlights include David Hammons’ B. Ball (1998), John Baldessari’s Throwing Three Balls in the Air to Get a Straight Line (1973), and Marcel Duchamp’s 1964 edition of 3 Standard Stoppages. Walking on Air, titled after Tuttle’s 2009 series, connects these ideas across works by Jana Euler, Sasha Gordon, Xinyi Cheng, and Mario Ayala. Recent acquisitions from Lauren Halsey, Sam McKinnis, Jill Mulleady, and others expand the scope of the presentation. Guests were offered an early look at the two-floor installation before joining an intimate dinner with Robins, curated by WE ARE ONA and supported by Bvlgari. The evening served as the unofficial start to Miami’s annual art season. Attendees included Adriana Cisneros, Amber Ridinger, Andre Branch, Andres Fanjul, Bippy Siegal, Carlos De La Cruz, Chris and Brooke Stamp, Dasha Zhukova, Daniella Levine Cava, David Adjaye, Ermenegildo Zegna, Herve Perrot, Jackie Soffer, Jeffrey Deitch, Karolina Kurková, Mario Ayala, Michael Burke, Princess Firyal Jordan, Richard and Lisa Bressler, and Robbie Williams. - A Celebration of Heritage and Haute Culture: Assouline and the Dominican Republic Unveil “Santo Domingo” in New York
Assouline together with the Dominican Republic will unveil its newest title, Santo Domingo , through an intimate, invitation only event at Casa Tua on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The private evening will gather a select group of cultural leaders, editors, tastemakers, and global creatives to celebrate a destination that has shaped the Caribbean story for more than five centuries. Image by Aline Coquelle © The new volume represents one of Assouline’s most vivid cultural portraits to date. It captures the Dominican capital as a city of layered history and luminous modernity, offering readers a visual journey through architecture, heritage, art, gastronomy, coastline, and daily life. Image by Aline Coquelle © With more than two hundred photographs by celebrated photographer Aline Coquelle and essays guided by Dominican writer Rosanna Rivera, the book presents Santo Domingo not only as the first European settlement in the Americas, but as a contemporary cultural hub pulsing with creativity. Image by Aline Coquelle © In 288 pages, Santo Domingo reveals a city where time folds gracefully. The historic Zona Colonial, a UNESCO World Heritage site, rises in soft limestone and coral stone, its narrow streets and centuries old buildings recalling the earliest chapters of the New World. The book celebrates iconic architectural sites, the cathedral and fortress structures that anchor the city’s identity, and the pastel facades and grand courtyards that give Santo Domingo its unmistakable rhythm. Image by Aline Coquelle © The volume also highlights the city’s evolving creative landscape. Today, Santo Domingo is home to a flourishing generation of designers, artists, chefs, and visionaries who continue to shape its cultural identity. The book captures this duality. The historic and the modern. The monumental and the cosmopolitan. The essence of a city that has never stopped reinventing itself while honoring its origins. Image by Aline Coquelle © For the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism, this partnership with Assouline represents a landmark moment. Under the leadership of Minister David Collado, the Dominican Republic has experienced unprecedented global visibility, with the capital emerging as a destination of renewed cultural significance. Minister Collado describes Santo Domingo as “the historical soul of the Dominican Republic,” a place where heritage and hospitality come together with natural beauty and vibrant urban life. Image by Aline Coquelle © The private launch at Casa Tua reflects this spirit. The evening will feature a curated introduction to the book, a signing, and conversations that explore the city’s legacy and ongoing cultural renaissance. Guests will experience a refined immersion into Dominican artistry and identity within one of New York’s most elegant and intimate settings. Image by Maria Grazia Casella © Assouline’s signature craftsmanship is evident throughout the volume. The book is both object and experience. A piece of collectible design that honors Santo Domingo’s architectural grandeur, its golden light, its textured surfaces, and its deeply rooted traditions. The imagery offers a sensory exploration of the city. Golden sunsets along the Malecón. Palm-framed views of the Caribbean Sea. The vibrant colors of local markets. The sophistication of contemporary galleries and warm hospitality of longstanding Dominican families. More than a travel book, Santo Domingo is a cultural ambassador. It celebrates the richness of Dominican identity, shaped by African, European, and Taíno influences. It captures the resilience, creativity, and warmth of a people whose heritage is reflected in every street, every meal, and every moment of the city’s daily rhythm. Image by Peter Bischoff / Getty Images The Dominican Republic remains one of the Caribbean’s fastest growing destinations, attracting millions with its beaches, mountains, luxury resorts, ecological treasures, and cultural depth. Yet it is Santo Domingo, with its vibrant history and modern pulse, that stands as the country’s cultural heartbeat. This volume positions the city as a global design and lifestyle destination, appealing to travelers who seek authenticity, sophistication, and enduring beauty. Image by Yakov Oskanov © / Shutterstock In Assouline’s Santo Domingo , the Dominican Republic finds a tribute worthy of its past and its future. The book captures a capital that is both timeless and newly ascendant, poised between heritage and innovation. Through evocative storytelling and arresting imagery, the volume invites the world to rediscover Santo Domingo with fresh eyes and a deeper sense of admiration. Image by Aline Coquelle © The private launch in New York honors this moment. A celebration of lineage and luxury. A portrait of a city alive with color, memory, and possibility. And a refined cultural collaboration that elevates the Dominican Republic’s presence on the world stage. By ML Staff

- Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Art Collaboration With Chimpanzees Debuts at Spectrum Miami
A collection of abstract paintings created jointly by the late Ozzy Osbourne and chimpanzees from Save the Chimps will make its U.S. debut at Spectrum Miami during Miami Art Week, opening on what would have been Osbourne’s birthday, December 3. The exhibition runs December 3–7 at Mana Wynwood Convention Center. The project was completed just weeks before Osbourne’s death in July. Working with the Florida-based sanctuary, Osbourne painted multicolored base layers on five canvases. Chimpanzee artists then added their own marks, creating a collaborative series named after Osbourne’s songs and albums. The original pieces were offered earlier this year through Omega Auctions, where the five works sold for a combined $75,000. The top seller, Paranoid, created with chimp Janice, reached $18,000. Osbourne, who rarely allowed his paintings to be sold, made an exception for the collaboration to support the sanctuary. “I paint because it gives me peace of mind, but I don’t sell my paintings,” he said. “I’ve made an exception with these collaborations as it raises money for Save the Chimps, a sanctuary for hundreds of apes rescued from labs, roadside zoos, and wildlife traffickers.” To honor his December 3 birthday, Sharon Osbourne is helping introduce limited edition prints from the collaboration along with five abstracts Ozzy painted individually—Blizzard of Ozz, Electric Funeral, Paranoid, Tattooed Dancer, and Technical Ecstasy. At Spectrum Miami, Save the Chimps will sell numbered prints for $150, with all proceeds benefiting the sanctuary. Additional items include scarves featuring three of the works for $75 and T-shirts with two designs for $35. Sharon Osbourne noted the personal importance of the project during Ozzy’s final months, emphasizing that the original works provided meaningful support for the sanctuary. The organization’s events director, Dan Mathews, said only a small percentage of the sanctuary’s animals paint, but the collaboration aligned with Ozzy’s desire to make the fundraiser accessible to fans. Founded 25 years ago, Save the Chimps is the world’s largest privately funded chimpanzee sanctuary, located on 150 acres in Fort Pierce, Florida. Its supporters include Jane Goodall, Paul McCartney, Bryan Adams, Alan Cumming, Gillian Anderson, and The B-52s. Corporate sponsor FedEx transported the artworks to and from the sanctuary. Now in its 15th year, Spectrum Miami hosts more than 200 exhibiting artists and galleries. The fair includes special programs, the [SOLO] platform for independent artists, and the Spectrum FOCUS Pavilion highlighting outsider, street, pop, and urban art. Spectrum Miami runs alongside its sister fair, Red Dot Miami, and opens with a VIP preview on December 3. More information about Save the Chimps is available on the organization’s website. Tickets for Spectrum Miami can be purchased through the Redwood Art Group. By ML Staff. Photos: Save The Chimps

Drawing on Indigenous astronomy, Classical Chinese medicine, and musical poetics, Friedman explores rhythm, kinship, and energetic exchange. Pieces such as Star People (Seven Sisters) , Neptune Rising , and the installation Alligator Eyes (Carpet Hill) consider how bodies relate to celestial systems and how perception shifts between physical and atmospheric realms. In the outdoor courtyard, Emmett Moore’s Neon Sun reimagines the space as a functional environment. Known for merging design and architecture with material reuse, Moore transforms industrial remnants into chairs, benches, tables, and lighting. The works employ repurposed I-beams, grating, and cast impressions of natural forms, finished in neon pink. The pieces reference Miami’s architectural landscape, ecological fragility, and the visual codes of local nightlife. Left: Keith Lafuente, CRUMBS (IN VENICE), 2025. For its debut at Art Basel Miami Beach, Nina Johnson presents a booth focused on artists who have shaped the gallery’s direction over time. The selection highlights material experimentation and perspectives rooted in history, place, and identity. Featured artists include Anna Betbeze, Rochelle Feinstein, Dara Friedman, Patrick Dean Hubbell, Emmett Moore, George Nelson Preston, Nathlie Provosty, and Katie Stout. By ML Staff.
- GapStudio Introduces Its First Menswear Line With the Winter 2025 Collection
GapStudio expands its design vocabulary this winter with the debut of its first dedicated menswear line, a milestone woven into the broader Winter 2025 Collection. Led by Zac Posen , Gap Inc. EVP and Creative Director, the line extends the aesthetic that shaped GapStudio’s fall debut while shifting into a more celebratory and texture-driven mood. The collection revisits the relaxed confidence of the 1990s, translating that sensibility through tailored lines, fluid shapes, and richer materials. Several pieces are designed for both men and women, continuing GapStudio’s exploration of shared, gender-inclusive dressing. Posen notes that menswear has been central to the project since its beginning. A custom look created for Timothée Chalamet—which quickly sold out—signaled strong demand for the label’s craftsmanship. Additional bespoke work for figures such as Michael B. Jordan and Owen Cooper reinforced that momentum, as did interest in gender-inclusive staples like the original moto jacket. The new menswear launch builds on that trajectory, emphasizing refinement and modern American tailoring. Key pieces from the debut include corduroy baggy trousers, a reworked white poplin shirt with subtle detailing, double-breasted and tailored blazers, tuxedo vests, chambray shirts, skinny ties, Supima cotton tees, satin outerwear, and a reversible faux-fur car coat. The line also extends existing narratives from the women’s collection, offering coordinated silhouettes that move easily between structured and relaxed dressing. GapStudio maintains its focus on precision tailoring and elevated fabrication across the new styles. Select designs are intended for shared wear, underscoring the collection’s interest in fluidity and connection in contemporary wardrobes. The GapStudio Winter 2025 Collection, including the inaugural menswear offering, launches November 18, 2025 on Gap.com and in select flagship stores in the U.S. and internationally. By ML Staff.
