110 Years, 5 Generations, 1 Family, Now in Coconut Grove

MOSCOT, the New York City heritage eyewear brand, opens its first-ever Shop in Florida on May 15th at 3410 Main Highway in Coconut Grove, Miami – marking its 34th Shop worldwide.


With 110 years of expertise in eyewear and eyecare, MOSCOT has grown from a pushcart on Orchard Street in 1915 into a globally recognized brand synonymous with timeless design, expert craftsmanship, and trusted optical knowledge.



Today, the brand is led by Dr. Harvey Moscot, 4th Generation & CEO, and his son Zack Moscot, 5th Generation & Chief Design Officer. Harvey, a licensed optometrist, continues to uphold the brand’s optical legacy, while Zack breathes new energy into the collection – personally designing every new frame. Few eyewear brands carry a designer’s name on both the Shop door and the frame – MOSCOT remains a rare exception.


“Miami and New York share an undeniable energy, both as cultural melting pots that celebrate art, fashion, and creativity,” says Zack Moscot. “Coconut Grove, with its rich history and vibrant community, is the perfect setting for MOSCOT. We’re excited to bring our Lower East Side charm and craftsmanship to Miami and introduce more locals to the MOSCOT experience.”


MOSCOT Miami brings the spirit of downtown New York to South Florida. Like every MOSCOT Shop around the world, the Coconut Grove location features many of the same elements as the original Lower East Side Shop in Manhattan: old-school tin ceilings, vintage tchotchkes, historical artifacts, and New York-centric paraphernalia – capturing the nostalgic feeling of stepping into Great Grandma Sylvia Moscot’s living room.

As part of its 110th anniversary, MOSCOT also released the LEMTOSH 110 Anniversary Edition – a vibrant tribute to the frame that helped define the brand. Crafted from acetate and detailed with intricate gold core wiring, raised rivets, and a gold foil-stamped temple plaque, the frame is available in three sizes and pairs beautifully with curated Custom Made Tints™ in Amber and Chestnut Fade. Each pair comes with exclusive anniversary packaging, including a commemorative tote bag and chamois.


This milestone year also includes a range of collectible accessories and the release of MOSCOT NYC: 110 Years of Family Legacy & Optical Expertise, a retrospective brand book produced in collaboration with luxury publisher Assouline.
