Although there are no early 2026 performances scheduled in Miami, Miami Living is proud to celebrate the extraordinary talent of pianist Yuja Wang and share her full 2026 tour schedule.

Born in Beijing in 1987, pianist Yuja Wang demonstrated exceptional talent from an early age, beginning piano lessons at six and later studying at the Beijing Conservatory before relocating to Canada. By the age of 15, she won the Aspen Music Festival concerto competition, marking the start of a professional career that would unfold while she was still a student at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
Her international breakthrough came in 2007, when at just 20 years old she stepped in for Martha Argerich as soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The performance received widespread acclaim and propelled Wang onto the world stage.
Since then, Wang has built an expansive repertoire that ranges from baroque to contemporary works, embracing composers from Scarlatti to Ligeti. In 2009, she signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, resulting in a series of award-winning recordings. Her discography has earned five Grammy nominations, with her first Grammy win in 2024 for The American Project.
A frequent collaborator with leading orchestras and conductors—including fellow Rolex Testimonees Gustavo Dudamel and Yannick Nézet-Séguin—Wang is renowned for both her virtuosity and her bold artistic choices. In 2023, she performed all four Rachmaninoff piano concertos and the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini in a single concert at Carnegie Hall, a marathon performance that highlighted her technical brilliance and stamina.
Recognized not only as one of the foremost pianists of her generation but also as an innovator in classical music, Yuja Wang has been a Rolex Testimonee since 2009, continuing to inspire audiences worldwide with her artistry and dedication.
