Your Dream Vacation in Paradise: The New Viva Miches by Wyndham Offers a Luxury Stay in the Dominican Republic

Guests will be greeted by a refreshing beverage upon arriving at Viva Miches by Wyndham in the rural shores of the Dominican Republic. Just a short flight from Miami, walk into their luxurious tropical lobby and embrace paradise. This brand-new all-inclusive resort (which just opened in December) offers guests everything they need to have fun, to relax, and to fully unplug from their everyday lives. From a delicious culinary experience to an impressive entertainment team that will keep the party going all day (and night) long, Viva Miches has everything you need to have the picture-perfect vacation.

Located in a protective bay, Viva Miches has an expansive beachfront where guests can take advantage of warm, calm, clear waters—and beautiful sunsets. The views are stunning, the beach is pristine, and the mountains create an authentic landscape unlike any you’ve seen before. Relax on one of the many shaded lounge chairs—no need to reserve and stress, the abundant palm trees create natural shade all day long, and there are plenty of lounges for everyone. When you are ready to cool off, take a dip, or enjoy a sip from a cold beverage from the beach bar—after all, this is an all-inclusive stay. Whether you’re traveling with your family, on a romantic getaway or seeking adventure, Viva Miches will exceed your expectations.

There are 535 comfortable rooms on the premises, with six different categories—from garden view to ocean view, to oceanfront—but regardless of where you stay, all the rooms are decorated with the same attention to detail. They are designed with a unique blend of comfort and natural beauty that embody the perfect vacation. Wherever you stay, your room will have a balcony or a terrace, so you can always enjoy fresh air, people watch and have a private place to sit outside. Our favorite rooms are the Splash rooms, which feature a private plunge pool that is located on the ground level of the ocean front and ocean view rooms. The plunge pool will make you feel luxurious, as it’s conveniently located right outside your room, and you can enjoy it at your leisure—it’s the perfect place to go after the main pool closes!

There are four restaurants, and two buffets that serve a variety of food throughout the day. Regardless of what time it is, at Viva Miches, you will always find food available. Buffett El Lago is the main cafeteria that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. You will find a carving station with delicious meats, a pasta station where you can get fresh cooked pasta, salads, soups, an abundance of desserts, and everything in between!

If you happen to be lounging by the pool, and are looking for a quick bite, La Esmeralda is the perfect place. This casual buffet offers salads, burgers, grilled chicken, fries, and a rotating selection of featured meals like Paella and Sancocho on special days. Here you can dine in your bathing suit, even if you’re still a little wet from the pool; plus, it’s very close to the pool and beach area, so you don’t have to miss a beat. Finally, be sure to make your reservations at each one of the signature restaurants upon arrival, as these are popular and get filled quickly.

Latin Fusion is beautifully decorated with vibrant colors, and offers a wide selection of food from Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, and of course the Dominican Republic. Start with some ceviche, have a burrito bite, a churrasco, and finish with a delicious alfajor. Fusion Oriental offers a different experience. Sit at the teppanyaki table and enjoy the show. Here you’ll indulge in some sushi, fried rice, grilled chicken, beef, and shrimp. At Atlantis guests enjoy seafood that feature local flavors. Make sure to try the grilled octopus—which is a meal on its own—and the tuna tartar which is beautifully presented. Finally, the Mediterranean restaurant, is a mix of French Riviera and Greek Islands. The artichoke dip, and seafood paella are the perfect pair!

There is so much to do at Viva Miches, but if lounging by the pool is your priority, you will not be disappointed. There is a beautiful ocean front pool that wraps around the front of the property. The main pool—which cascades over a wading pool—is divided into two sections, creating multiple spaces for guests to relax. There are also two large jacuzzies adjacent to the main pool, and a separate pool with a swim up bar. Here you can get everything your heart desires—margaritas, daquiris, shots, beer, Bahama Mamas and everything in between!

Viva Miches works with the Bravo entertainment team to bring the fun 24/7. Throughout the day, the Bravo staff hosts beach yoga, fun tournaments, bingo, Zumba, water aerobics, and even foam parties. At night, the staff has a one-hour themed show onstage (from Circus night to Dominican night) followed by a playful activity to engage guests (or a beach party), and finally they encourage guests to join them at the on-site nightclub to continue partying until 2 a.m.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are also plenty of sports and activities that guests can take advantage of throughout the day. There is a gym with impressive sunset views, tennis courts, and guests can also try their hand at archery right on the resort grounds. Down by the beach there are volleyball courts, and Viva Miches also has an impressive lineup of kayaks, windsurfing, standup paddleboards, and catamaran sailing which is all included with your stay. Simply approach the boating team by the beach and sign out a double kayak for 30mins—explore and enjoy! The catamaran sailing is also a nice perk, and if you don’t have experience, a staff member will take your family for a ride.

For the little ones in the family, there is a Kids Club that features multiple activities for kids throughout the day. The Kids Club includes an impressive splash pad with water slides, fountains, and a pool, as well as a full-sized playground and indoor activity room where they can nap, color, and even jump in the ball pit. There is also a room designed for teens, where they can play video games, air hockey, watch movies, or just listen to music and relax.

If you are looking to do excursions, simply visit the activities desk and they will gladly walk you through all the activities. The Media Luna Snorkeling trip is a fun activity for everyone. It takes you to reef location for snorkeling with a second stop at a “natural pool” where you’ll calmy hang out in waist deep waters in the middle of the ocean! The best thing about this trip is that it departs from Viva Miches, where the catamaran is moored and docked, so there is no transportation time (a huge plus).

After a long day of activities, there is no better time than to try the Spa. The spa features various treatments, including a couples massage. Upon arrival you will pick your preferred scent, meet your therapist, and she will take you to your treatment room. While the spa is small, they do offer various skin therapies, and massages.

Viva Miches by Wyndham has created the ideal experience for travelers, offering everything one needs when on vacation. You really don’t have the leave the property if you don’t want to, but if you do want to go explore, you can even rent cars from the hotel itself. It’s very convenient! At Viva Miches you’ll create endless memories and make new friends—here you will find plenty of guests staying for more than week from all over the world. Leave your worries behind and embrace what it’s like to live in paradise.
