Wynwood Walls Museum Explores Humanity and Technology with Expansive Programming for Miami Art Week 2025

Wynwood Walls Museum and Curator Jessica Goldman Srebnick will introduce ONLY HUMAN, a cross-museum theme for Miami Art Week 2025, examining what remains distinctively human amid accelerating technological change. The program highlights lived experience, imagination, and global perspectives through new murals, installations, and exhibitions. Seven artists—Cryptik, Joe Iurato, Miss Birdy, Persue, Quake, SETH, and RISK—will debut major works, alongside the first collaborative mural in 12 years by El Mac and RETNA.

The theme expands into the Goldman Global Arts Gallery, which will feature a group exhibition of new works by Hebru Brantley, Simon Berger, Sandra Chevrier, and others.

“Technology may replicate patterns, but it cannot feel,” says Goldman Srebnick. “This year’s theme celebrates the passion, courage, and creativity that remain uniquely human.”

Recognized globally as an epicenter of contemporary urban art, Wynwood Walls Museum continues to develop its evolving outdoor collection featuring more than 120 artists from over 25 countries.

El Mac × RETNA: New Collaborative Works – ONLY HUMAN Group Exhibition

On View: December 2, 2025Location: GGA Gallery inside the Wynwood Walls Museum

Artists El Mac (Miles MacGregor) and RETNA (Marquis Lewis) reunite after more than a decade for new collaborative canvases and a large-scale mural. The work merges RETNA’s architectural script with El Mac’s meticulous figurative rendering, forming a renewed visual language that bridges their original partnership in public space with their current studio practices.

“a Cage & a House” by Sandra Chevrier

On View: Through January 2026

Canadian artist Sandra Chevrier presents 35 new works—paintings, ink on rice paper, and mosaics—examining the forces that restrict identity and the resilience required to reclaim freedom. Through her layered comic-inspired portraiture, Chevrier explores transformation and the personal fight against societal “cages.”

Only Human by Simon Berger

On View: November 29, 2025 – March 2026

For Goldman Global Arts Gallery, Swiss artist Simon Berger deepens his investigation into fractured glass, expanding from the human face into elements of the natural world. Created in his Bern studio, the ten-work series reflects on presence, identity, and emotion through a material defined by fragility and impact.
