FlickHouse Studios will debut its newest film, Young Kingdom, with an exclusive in-person world premiere screening on Sunday, August 31 at 12:00 PM at Silverspot Cinema in downtown Miami. The premiere marks a centerpiece event of the 10th anniversary edition of the Urban Film Festival.
Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Jose Navas (Awake Before Dawn), Young Kingdom is a gripping coming-of-age drama set in 1990s Miami. The film follows Andres, a determined young boy caught between gang violence and the fight to save his dying mother. Forced to make impossible choices, Andres enters brutal street fights in pursuit of power, protection, and hope.
The premiere is expected to draw both local audiences and film industry insiders, highlighting Miami’s growing influence in independent cinema.
