Anyone who lives in Miami knows how busy it gets during the winter months. For years, millions of people have migrated here from the Northern United States to escape the harsher weather found in this country's colder climes.
Now, that trend seems to be amplified thanks to the rise of remote work in the internet age. With the Garden State being one of the premier tech hubs in the USA, many of the people who work for companies there can do so remotely from anywhere. And what better place to skip the winter than Miami?

From NJ Office Towers to Miami Co-Working Spots
In the age of remote working, co-working spaces across the USA have boomed. There are now more than 7000 dedicated co-working spaces in the USA, with many of these found in Miami. That figure is growing rapidly as well, with a two percent increase between quarter three and four last year.
There are various portions of Miami that are becoming famous for their dedication to co-working, offering vibrant communities where people can plug in their laptops and surround themselves with busy, likeminded individuals. South Beach, for instance, has a few popular locations including Momentum Business Center and WeWork. They come with day pass options and various amenities such as coffee and printers.

Why New Jersey’s Hybrid Culture Makes This Possible
There are certain economies that lend themselves better to remote working than others, with New Jersey’s being up there with the best for hybrid work. That’s because the state has a huge focus on tech firms, with Jersey City now ranked as the 5th best tech city in the country, with more than 394 firms in the sector.

There are countless companies in the entertainment industry as well, many of which offering remote work opportunities for their employees. For instance, NBCUniversal has more than 68,000 employees globally, with only a fraction of those based in the state. The NJ online casino market is booming as well, with businesses in the sector offering plenty of roles which could be performed remotely. For instance, modern technology means that live hosts on games like Crazy Time can work from different locations if necessary, as can customer service representatives and website coders.

Many of the people who work for these flourishing NJ businesses initially get their jobs in the state. However, the nature of their roles means that it is often possible to relocate to places like Miami to enjoy warm weather all year round. This essentially allows more people to enjoy the digital nomad lifestyle, without having to leave the country.
Instead of having to travel across the world, Miami offers workers a holiday hotspot with plenty of places to work closer to home. It’s convenient because they can stay in the same time zone and be close enough to home if they need to get back for any reason.
Miami has always been an attractive location for Americans who want to holiday in the country. Now, though, it’s also making a name for itself for remote workers who want to avoid the northern winters. There are loads of people coming from New Jersey now, in a trend that looks set to continue.
