Memorial Day is a holiday meant to celebrate and honor the fallen soldiers of the U.S. military who have served our country. This year, hotels across the sunny state of Florida are activating their spaces with beachside bashes, watch parties and discounts for veterans for the long weekend.

BBQ & Reggae Rehab Pool Party at The Marker Key West Harbor Resort


Get into a groovy mood this Memorial Day weekend and celebrate at The Marker Key West Harbor Resort’s Reggae Rehab Pool Party with popular band, Reggae Lou & The Kind Budz, as well as Ketel One Botanicals and Smash Burgers on Sunday, May 28 at 1 p.m. With every Ketel One Botanical bucket purchase, you’ll receive a free Booze Bandage to cure your hangover the next day. Honor the Veterans at The Balfour Hotel


The Balfour Hotel in Miami Beach's South of Fifth neighborhood welcomes all U.S. veterans on Memorial Day weekend to celebrate. On May 27 and 28, the hotel will feature a veteran’s special that includes a 20% discount on F&B when presenting a veteran ID. The weekend specials include a Bucket of Beer + Wings ($39); BBQ Sliders ($18); or Sliders ($14). The festivities don’t stop there. The hotel will also host a firework watch party on Sunday, May 28 on its rooftop from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. with an all you can drink bar priced at $30 per person. The special menu will also be available at the hotel’s rooftop for the watch party.



Salute American Heroes at The Gabriel South Beach


This Memorial Day weekend, visit The Gabriel South Beach, a boutique property on Ocean Drive in South Beach for a watch party of the Air and Sea Show. On May 28 from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m on the hotel’s hidden rooftop, guests will find the space adorned in patriotic decor and will feature an exclusive bar stocked with specially crafted beer, wine and cocktails. The hotel is also the ideal location to spend this holiday as it is just steps away from the beach, perfect to welcome the summer season.
