During World War II, Miami Beach was transformed from a vibrant tourist destination into a bustling military training ground. Discover the surprising wartime role the city played with an off-site guided tour of Galería Ocean Drive's outdoor exhibition in Lummus Park, Boot Camp in Paradise: World War II in Miami Beach.
After the tour, return to The Wolfsonian to experience a library open house, exploring Judith Berson-Levison's "Sand in Their Boots" archive of Miami Beach WWII memorabilia, and AV Club's curated screening of short films that reflect on the legacy of WWII.
