The Women's Breast & Heart Initiative (WBHI)a leader in disease prevention and early detection—returns with its signature Open the Door to Your Heart fundraising Dinner Dance on May 8, 2026, at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa. Bringing together more than 400 community leaders, advocates, and supporters, the annual event is a cornerstone moment to celebrate impact, raise critical funds, and advance access to lifesaving programs across South Florida. Marking 21 years of grassroots impact, this year’s event will be hosted by Co-Chairs Andrés Correa, President and Founding Partner of Solution Construction, and Bettina Correa.

“Each year is a reminder of how much is possible when people come together,” said Andrea Ivory, WBHI’s founder and executive director. “Thanks to the leadership of this year’s Co-Chairs, Andrés and Bettina Correa, this special night continues to grow and reach more people. For 21 years, we’ve connected women, families and college students across South Florida to early detection resources, disease prevention education, and care coordination that can truly transform—and save—lives. When you open the door to your heart, you help ensure someone gets the care they need, at the moment it matters most.”

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalists from WPLG Local 10—Kristi Krueger, reporter and anchor, and Mayte Padron, community relations director—the event will bring together guests for an elegant night of exceptional cuisine, cocktails, and dancing, with live entertainment by the Jon Saxx Entertainment Group. The 2026 Pillar Awards will also be presented, honoring Turnberry, Jack and Jill South Miami Associates, Lorena Rosero, MD., and Chairman of the Board of The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative, Willie Ivory.

Silent and live auctions will offer exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a VIP Miami Marlins First Pitch Experience, a Goodyear Blimp Experience, an exclusive Town of Golden Beach Water VIP Tour, and a seven-day Princess Cruises voyage. Proceeds from this event will help fund the disease prevention and early detection services WBHI provides to low-income individuals and college students in the South Florida community.
