Hollywood producer, entrepreneur, and now singer-songwriter—Sarah Schroeder is no stranger to reinvention. With the exclusive premiere of her debut music video “On the Wire” on Miami Living, she introduces the world to her fierce alter ego: Sarah SASHA.
Blending cinematic pop with raw, emotionally charged lyrics, “On the Wire” is a high-energy anthem about navigating life’s betrayals, chaos, and still showing up with the strength to love again. “It’s about that edge - when you feel like you’re barely hanging on, but still pushing forward,” Sarah explains. The video, rich in visual storytelling and striking choreography, captures this message with intensity and beauty.
Directed with Miami-based filmmaker Milcho, the video pulses with emotion and symbolic movement. “The bridge scene where I fall back into the dancers’ arms - that was Milcho’s vision, and it brought the emotional climax to life beautifully,” says Sarah.
Enter Sarah SASHA - a persona Sarah says has lived inside her all along. “She’s fearless, expressive, untamed. She lets me create without rules or apologies.” Like boundary-pushing icons Lady Gaga and Doja Cat, Sarah SASHA is more than a name - it’s a liberation.
Originally from small-town Idaho and the youngest of eight, Sarah has lived many lives. From modeling and playing pro basketball in Australia to working in finance, her path to the entertainment world was anything but typical. She made her acting debut in Man in the Chair alongside Christopher Plummer and, with her husband Steve Matzkin, co-founded Double Infinity Productions. Their producing credits include The Trial of the Chicago 7, Bloodshot, and The Tax Collector.
She’s also graced the screen in Not Alone, playing the lead female and co-wrote and starred in Unfortunate Circumstances with her mentor Gena Rowlands. “Being invited to the Oscars with Gena for her lifetime achievement award is a memory I’ll always treasure,” she shares.
Philanthropy is central to Sarah’s life. She co-founded with her husband the FACE Foundation (Faith and Charity Every Day) in honor of her late brother, supporting cancer research, veterans, and survivors of domestic violence. “Everything I create comes from a place of connection and purpose,” she says.
Though she once declined an offer to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she doesn’t rule it out. “At the time, I wasn’t ready to live life on camera,” she says. “But who knows?”
Now splitting time between Beverly Hills and Miami, Sarah finds inspiration in both cities. You’ll find her relaxing at Fisher Island, Soho House, or dancing at Milla Studio. “It helps me reset and reconnect,” she adds.
With more music on the horizon and a debut album in the works, Sarah SASHA is just getting started. “On the Wire isn’t just a song—it’s a message to women everywhere to step into their power.”
