At Milan Design Week 2026, Visionnaire unveiled its new collection, Rare Matter – A Retro-Brutalist Story. Under the creative direction of Eleonore Cavalli, the collection explores the intersection of raw materiality and architectural precision, drawing inspiration from the "Retro-Brutalist" aesthetic and the architectural legacy of Carlo Scarpa.

The project emphasizes density, gravity, and permanence, utilizing primary materials such as rare stones, dimensional glass, oxidized metals, and cement to create objects that function as "architectural presences."

Salone del Mobile Highlights

At Rho Fiera, the Visionnaire stand featured a fluid sequence of environments defined by a warm 1970s-inspired palette of amber, mustard, and caramel. Key pieces from the maison’s historic voices include:

  • Joker Sofa by Alessandro La Spada: A modular upholstered system defined by compact volumes and architectural shadow play.

  • Baton Rouge Sofa & Catskill Table by Mauro Lipparini: Designs focused on gravitational mass, formal discipline, and rhythmic order.

  • Frame Sofa by Fabio Bonfà: An exploration of solids and voids using metal backrests as a generative matrix.

  • Core Lighting by Marco Piva: A collection where a luminous nucleus acts as a structural generative axis within glass.

Fuorisalone and Curated Exhibitions

Visionnaire’s presence extended into the city of Milan with two distinct curatorial projects:

  • NM3 meets Visionnaire at 10 Corso Como: A radical capsule collection featuring "stealth" aesthetics and sculptural forms. The exhibition includes the Axiom dining table and Stealth systems, drawing inspiration from the hillside villa architecture of John Lautner.

  • Déjà-Vu at Piazza Cavour: The brand reactivated its historical archive by reissuing the Bachi and Cigno armchairs from the 1970s. The showroom’s Wunderkammer was transformed into a "Listening Room" inspired by 1970s clubs, featuring a curated vinyl program and custom sound systems.

Collaboration with Marc Ange

The Visionnaire Milano showroom also debuted a new collaboration with designer Marc Ange. The capsule includes the monumental Macrodosing table with a multi-wood base and the Sfogliatella wall light, which is carved from a single block of marble.

These pieces further blur the boundary between functional furniture and narrative sculpture, emphasizing the recovery and layering of natural materials.
