Visionnaire Brings Italian Design Into Art Basel Through Salone del Mobile Collaboration

Visionnaire has been selected by Salone del Mobile.Milano to furnish the Collectors Lounge at Art Basel Miami Beach in December 2025 and Art Basel Hong Kong in March 2026, as part of a three-year international project connecting contemporary art and high-end design.
Curated by architect and designer Piero Lissoni, the initiative places Italian design brands within one of the most influential global art platforms, creating a setting where collectors, curators, and cultural leaders encounter design as a parallel artistic language rather than a commercial showcase. The project reinforces Salone del Mobile.Milano’s strategy of expanding Italian design into key cultural contexts beyond traditional trade fairs.
For the Miami edition, Visionnaire presents three pieces that reflect the brand’s approach to design as sculptural and conceptual expression. These include the Shibari armchair by Studiopepe, recognized internationally for its sculptural form and tension between structure and movement; the Mercury armchair, originally designed in 1961 by sculptor Rito Valla and reissued in a contemporary edition that bridges historical memory and modern design; and the Boyd sofa by Fabio Bonfà, defined by architectural volumes and a restrained formal balance.
Visionnaire’s participation confirms its role as a representative of Italian craftsmanship within an evolving dialogue between design and fine art. The presence at Art Basel places the brand in direct conversation with an international audience accustomed to cultural rather than commercial frameworks, reinforcing its positioning within the field of art-driven design.
According to Visionnaire’s leadership, the collaboration continues a broader trajectory of international engagement that includes previous participation in Design Miami, emphasizing design as a shared cultural experience shaped by research, material experimentation, and artisanal expertise.
