As Florida prepares for the next phase of housing policy reform, Commercial Real Estate Women Miami (CREW Miami) presents a timely Lunch and Learn exploring the impact of the Live Local Act. “Unlocking Potential: Mastering Florida’s Live Local Act” will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Mayfair House Hotel & Garden (3000 Florida Ave., Miami, FL 33133).
With SB1730 set to become law on July 1, 2025, panelists will break down how recent amendments will affect zoning, administrative approvals, and development rights across Florida. The session will provide practical guidance for professionals working at the intersection of public policy, real estate law, and multifamily development.
Featured speakers include Representative Vicki L. Lopez (Florida House District 113), Gus Cabrera (Principal, Evergreen Venture Group), and Maritza Haro Salgado (Partner, Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes). Shannon Wilson, Associate Director at Berkadia, will moderate the conversation.
“This is more than a legislative update—it’s a blueprint for how real estate professionals can move forward confidently under the new Live Local guidelines,” said Josie Legido Correa, Director of Business Development at JWR Construction Services and 2025 Board President of CREW Miami. “At CREW Miami, we’re focused on education and connection. Events like this empower our members to lead, adapt, and shape the future of real estate development across South Florida.”
