Ultra Club Leads the Padel Phenomenon in Miami & Beyond

The question that is on everyone’s mind: what is Padel? A mix between tennis and squash, the high action sport with European roots is taking Miami by storm. A leader in the U.S. development of this beloved sport, ULTRA CLUB recently opened its flagship location in the heart of the city’s vibrant Magic City District.

The largest padel facility in the U.S., ULTRA CLUB currently features nearly 20 outdoor ‘smart’ padel courts, with 8 additional indoor courts forthcoming; bespoke services, including one-on-one training alongside padel pros; trailblazing technologies specifically designed to track stats while helping hone your game; and regular padel clinics available to all, supervised by Chief Padel Officer Julian Wortelboer.

A celebration of padel and sports, health and wellness, community and connection, ULTRA CLUB caters to both avid padel enthusiasts and newcomers to the sport. Families with kids can take advantage of the kids courts and upcoming children's programming, as well.

ULTRA CLUB features transformative design, fusing aesthetic inspiration from the Modern Mid-Century bungalows of Palm Springs and the iconic terracotta courts of the French Open.

To access ULTRA CLUB, guests will be able to drop-in or join the club’s membership program, building an approachable community for everyone from young, single professionals to active families. There will be multiple membership tiers, offering extensive benefits including use of private courts and lounge areas, dedicated services and amenities, and access to immersive happenings.

Envisioned by Chief Executive Officer Guillermo Barragán and Chief Padel Officer Julian Wortelboer, ULTRA CLUB is where laid back luxury meets the love of the game.

ULTRA CLUB recently hosted the prestigious Pro Padel League (PPL) in early April 2024. PPL, North America’s first and only professional padel league, partnered with ULTRA CLUB, to host the PPL’s first regular season event. Six days of incredible round robin matches led the top two teams from each competing category into a semifinal showdown before Ari Sanchez and Marta Talavan of Miami Padel Club and Alejandra Alonso De Villa and Marta Ortega of the Las Vegas Smash faced off in the finals. Augustin Tapia and Jon Sanz of Miami Padel Club faced off against Gonzalo Alfonso and Pablo Cardona Huerta of the Las Vegas Smash in a riveting match. After intense competition, Miami Padel Club was named the first PPL Champion of the season and winner of the more than $150,000 championship prize.

The entire, expansive 150,000 sq. ft. Miami facility is slated to be fully operational and accessible to members and drop-ins alike by Q4 2024. Upcoming, the ULTRA CLUB community will also expand across South Beach and Brickell neighborhoods, with future plans to bring the ULTRA lifestyle to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and beyond.
