The ever-popular color-changing swimwear first made waves with its debut as part of the Switch Collection by Capelle Miami in 2020. The launch was accompanied by an inventive social media post that quickly went viral, amassing over 17 million views.

This innovative concept was introduced by Capelle Miami’s Designer and CEO, Antonio Rojas, who discovered the groundbreaking technology during a visit to manufacturers abroad. "I knew immediately that this technology would be a great success if applied to men’s swimwear," Rojas recalls. "It’s such a distinctive product, I knew our customers would love it. It’s unlike anything seen before in the men’s swimwear."

Capelle Miami, renowned for its luxurious and comfortable designs, promptly moved forward with the Switch Collection. Before long, the color-changing swimwear became a sold-out sensation.

Since then, Capelle Miami has introduced multiple best-selling collections, and in May 2024, they re-released the color-changing swimwear to their eager customers. This new release featured a revitalized look, their signature compression liner, and even more dramatic color-changing effects than the original 2020 launch. The demand for these playful shorts remained strong, leading to rapid sell-outs of both color-changing releases and a water-reactive magic fabric print within less than a month. Thousands of customers were waitlisted for a restock.

The color-changing swimwear utilizes thermochromic technology, allowing the fabric to drastically change color when exposed to temperatures above or below 82 degrees Fahrenheit. This effect creates an eye-catching and fun swimwear option that stands out at the beach or pool.

Looking ahead, Capelle Miami is set to release new colors, providing even more options. The new collections of color-changing swimwear are expected to launch early in 2025, with a large and enthusiastic customer base eagerly anticipating the release.
