Touch of Pink Party Honors Survivors, Inspires Hope and Supports Breast Cancer Care

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month Memorial Foundation and its volunteer fundraising group, the Pink Angels, hosted the annual Touch of Pink party to honor the strength of breast cancer patients and survivors and present the Pink Angels Award to the Center for Body, Mind and Spirit for its compassionate work supporting patients during treatment.

Patients, families, community supporters and healthcare leaders dressed in their most fabulous shades of pink, showing solidarity in the ongoing fight against breast cancer during the elegant evening at the Sport of Kings Theater in Hallandale Beach.


The Pink Angels, founded in 2006 by breast cancer survivors and patients of Memorial’s Breast Cancer Center, raise funds and awareness to support patients and families through Memorial Foundation.

Funds raised directly benefit breast cancer patients through programs that provide nutrition classes, emergency assistance and support for the Center for Body, Mind and Spirit, including funding for lymphedema sleeves, prosthetic garments and wigs. Proceeds also help support Memorial’s integrative medicine division with yoga and meditation programs, women’s health and survivorship initiatives, financial assistance for mammogram screenings, the Pink Stork Fund for IVF assistance, transportation for patients in treatment, and mammograms and biopsies for uninsured and underinsured individuals.
