As National Nonprofit Day (August 17), National Philanthropy Day (November 15), and National Philanthropy Month (November) approach, South Florida nonprofits are spotlighting their powerful impact on local communities.

From feeding families to supporting children with special needs and empowering youth, these organizations are changing lives. The Community Foundation of Broward, with over $200 million in grants distributed, is a leading force behind local philanthropy, providing critical funding and nonprofit training.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade offers thousands of kids a safe space, guidance, and life-enriching programs, while Broward Children’s Center serves medically fragile children with specialized care and advocacy. Feeding South Florida is on the frontlines of hunger relief, providing meals to over 1.2 million residents amid rising food insecurity.

The Ann Storck Center delivers vital residential and therapy services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, and Jewish Family Home Care supports Broward seniors with dignity, helping them live safely at home.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Southeast Florida continues its fight against impaired driving through community events, education, and victim services. Its annual Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash has raised over $4.2 million locally.
