Tokyo Tuna has opened its second location, expanding from its original Brickell restaurant to South Miami, where it introduces the neighborhood’s only sushi river dining experience.

A celebration of Japanese cuisine, Tokyo Tuna has pioneered sushi in Miami for the past 10 years. With fish flown in daily from around the world, the restaurant is known for offering one of the freshest sushi menus in South Florida.

The South Miami location, set within a modern, design-forward space defined by warm wood finishes and layered textures, seats 120 guests indoors and outdoors. At the center is the signature sushi river, exclusive to South Miami, where freshly prepared fish flow past diners aboard small boats. The concept is designed to be premium yet approachable, amid Miami’s growing number of high-priced omakase experiences.

“Bringing Tokyo Tuna to South Miami allows us to share our philosophy with a neighborhood that values quality, consistency, and a welcoming dining experience,” said Sean Raee, co-owner of Tokyo Tuna South Miami.

Menu highlights include the Salmon Seduction roll, featuring lightly torched King salmon finished with Ikura caviar. The hamachi crudo offers a clean, buttery flavor, delicately accented with a tangy yuzu marinade. Additional standouts include the spicy tuna crispy rice topped with Japanese bluefin tuna, tobiko caviar, and truffle eel sauce. For a tableside experience, the Hot Stone Wagyu Beef features thinly sliced, aged Wagyu, seared on a heated stone and served with white rice and ponzu sauces. The menu is rounded out with comforting noodle bowls and rice dishes, complemented by a curated selection of wine, sake, and craft cocktails.

Hours: Open seven days a week , 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
