TMG and Yoni Yonson Among 15 Artists Awarded in III Points $10,000 Grant Program

Debuting at III Points Festival 2025, their first collaboration uses digital art to spotlight immigration and resilience through immersive storytelling.
South Florida’s acclaimed III Points Festival has announced the recipients of its 2025 artist grants, awarding $10,000 across digital and physical art categories. Out of more than 200 submissions, Aes – The Miracle Ghost (TMG) and Yoni Yonson, two South Florida-based artists known for their distinctive work in digital and street art, were among the 15 winners selected. Their work will be showcased during the festival on October 17–18.
The call for submissions was curated by the Miami Art Society (MAS), led by founder Juan Pablo Sanchez, who has curated multiple art programs for III Points in the past. “We received over 200 proposals, each offering unique and innovative perspectives. Narrowing it down to just 15 was no easy task,” Sanchez noted.
For TMG and Yonson, this marks their first official collaboration after years of creative parallel paths and friendship. Their winning digital animation depicts a ghost captured by a UAP (unidentified aerial phenomenon) beneath the night sky. Beyond its striking visuals, the piece serves as a metaphor for the systemic deportation of undocumented immigrants in the United States.
“The ghost represents the resilience of the human spirit, while the UAP symbolizes the system that seeks to erase, and displace it,” the artists explained. As immigrants and children of immigrants, both TMG and Yonson infuse the piece with personal meaning and a reflection of the lived experiences of communities impacted by enforcement practices.
The selected digital works will be projected in a dedicated indoor gallery space at III Points, running continuously from 3:00 PM to 4:00 AM throughout the festival weekend. The installation offers festival goers an immersive experience that combines bold aesthetics with pressing social commentary, reinforcing the role of art as a space for dialogue and reflection.
With its long-standing reputation for elevating artistic innovation, III Points continues to spotlight creators whose work bridges cultural, social, and creative boundaries. The inclusion of TMG and Yonson underscores the festival’s mission to showcase artists who pair aesthetic vision with social relevance.
