Tickets Now on Sale for Margarita Live and a Tequila Tasting Experience on Nov. 18
Miami, FL (November 4, 2021) – Tickets are now on sale for Margarita Live, An Intimate Experience at PALAPA MIAMI, an open air venue in Upper Buena Vista, on November 18. Margarita Live, a one-day only experience, takes guests on an immersive sensory journey to uncover the many claims behind the creation of the mystical drink, the Margarita, with various competing stories about who actually created the popular cocktail. Storytelling and live musical numbers will be performed as guests enjoy various margarita creations specially crafted for this intimate experience.
An immersive storytelling experience accompanied by live music and libations, Margarita Live transports audience members to a world reminiscent of the 1930’s and 40’s across the US and Mexico border, where multiple live narratives begin to unfold. Audience members will learn the tale of the two Danny’s, reliving the experiences of two Hollywood icons - Rita Hayworth and Marjorie King - whom the Danny’s claim inspired the creations of the Margarita cocktail, perhaps at John Durlesser’s bar in LA during Hollywood’s golden era.
The concept for the Margarita Live brand and its intimate and immersive experiences was conceived by Creative Director, Don Alam Khan, and Actor and Director, René Lavan.
“We are thrilled to offer guests the opportunity to experience an immersive musical journey, in such a perfect intimate setting, while exploring some of the original stories surrounding the Margarita cocktail we all know and love,” says Lavan, who doubles as script co-writer and lead actor. “It is our hope that this intimate experience brings people together by celebrating what we have in common, rather than what separates us.”
Margarita Live will take place at PALAPA at Upper Buena Vista, 184 NE 50th Terrace, Miami, FL 33137. There will be two showtimes on November 18th, 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm. For those looking to take the Margarita Live experience to the next level, a one-hour master class tequila tasting experience, led by an expert agave ambassador and accredited by the Academia Mexicana de Catadores will be offered prior to each show at 6 pm and 8:30 pm. Also taking place at Upper Buena Vista (home of Palapa) at 5020 NE 2nd Avenue, tickets are $75 per person (for a $150 value) and features a curated selection of very special tequilas. Ticket holders will learn about the craftsmanship and history of tequila, including how to taste, smell and properly appreciate it, and will receive a graduation certificate signed by the Academia Mexicana de Catadores along with a souvenir tasting glass.
