This June: Beading, Bands, and Book at Moca North Miami

Here’s a roundup of MOCA's upcoming Book Club events. Each season’s book is inspired by current MOCA exhibitions and concludes with a hybrid discussion at MOCA and online. June’s selection is Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguch.

MOCA’s spring exhibitions, Philip Smith’s Magnetic Fields and Vickie Pierre’s The Maiden is The Warrior, carry on in full swing. We invite you to come experience both shows together this summer.

MOCA Book Club – June 29 – 1-3 PM

Join a fun and enriching conversation about MOCA Book Club’s selection, Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, a novel about a mysterious Tokyo back alley coffee shop that allows you to travel back in time. But the journey into the past does not come without risks: customers must sit in a particular seat, they cannot leave the café, and finally, they must return to the present before their coffee gets cold.
