THesis Hotel + Breakthrough Miami Host Young Entrepreneur Market

THēsis Hotel has partnered with Breakthrough Miami, an award-winning academic and social enrichment program for high-achieving, traditionally marginalized students striving for educational opportunity, to present an exciting new young entrepreneurs market on October 16th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event, held on THēsis Hotel’s Paseo, is free and open to the public.

The market will feature a lineup of young entrepreneurs selling creative goods and services, including the couture-style hats of young designer Indira Schargel, whose business Hatter Dreams is a visual feast for fashionistas and artists alike. Additional Breakthrough entrepreneurs include 8th grader Sabine Kanbar whose business Eswara by Sisi features handcrafted and beaded bracelets. A reflection of Sabine’s heritage, “eswara” in Persian means bracelet. Other student-led businesses include MadSocksNStuff by Madison Telemaque, Scrunchies by Khloe led by Khloe Porter, and Kustom Kloset’s soaps by Keziah Robinson, among others. The event will also feature signature drink specials including Kidtinis and live performances by the resident University of Miami band, Uniform Crew..

Bringing Breakthrough Miami’s emerging entrepreneurship program to life, the partnership with THēsis Hotel supports Breakthrough Scholars by helping existing businesses gain exposure and expand their reach while encouraging budding entrepreneurs to elevate business ideas from classroom concepts to a real-time marketplace.

The partnership with Breakthrough Miami reflects and advances THēsis Hotel’s community-centered brand pillars. Community is one of the many ways THēsis Hotel is intentionally building experiences, opportunities and spaces that reflect and promote the vibrant diversity of Coral Gables while fostering more inclusive and united communities.

“As we celebrate thirty years as Miami’s Opportunity Generator, we are excited to launch our partnership with the THēsis Hotel,” said Breakthrough Miami’s Chief Executive Officer Lori-Ann Cox. “Advancing Breakthrough and THesis’ shared commitment to a diverse, innovative and vibrant community provides young people with the resources and opportunities e to create, grow, lead and thrive.” - Photos by THesis Hotel + Breakthrough Miami
