The Zionists Enters Final Two Weeks at Miami Beach’s Colony Theatre
The world premiere production of The Zionists is entering its final two weeks of performances at Miami New Drama’s Colony Theatre in Miami Beach, with the run scheduled to continue through May 10.
The play, written by S. Asher Gelman, follows a prominent Jewish family whose fragile reunion at a luxury Caribbean resort is disrupted by the politics and aftermath of October 7 and an approaching hurricane, pushing them to confront old wounds, conflicting values, and the limits of their ties.
Critics have described the production as explosive, powerful, and thrillingly executed, praising both the ensemble performances and the play’s focus on a family in crisis amid broader political and historical tensions.
