The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami marked its highly anticipated return to the South Florida luxury scene with a spectacular grand opening fete on Friday, March 20. Hosted by Karim Alibhai, Founder and Principal of Gencom, the event celebrated the completion of a landmark $100 million transformation that reinterprets the resort’s mid-20th-century glamour through a lens of modern coastal sophistication.
Guests gathered on the iconic Grand Lawn as the sun set over the Atlantic, enjoying bossa nova melodies, a lavish raw bar featuring Alaskan king crab and caviar, and signature live-fire culinary demonstrations from Executive Chef Patrizio La Gioia of Luma and Executive Chef Renato Mekolli of Paralía. The evening reached its crescendo with a mesmerizing fireworks display illuminating the Miami skyline before transitioning to a vibrant after-party at the resort’s famed Rum Bar.
