The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and TUMI Debut Artistic Luggage Collaboration
In celebration of its $100 million renovation and 25-year anniversary, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami partnered with luxury travel brand TUMI for an immersive artistic collaboration. The project featured a one-of-a-kind luggage collection by international artist Louis-Nicolas Darbon, which debuted through high-profile activations at Rockefeller Center in New York City and Lincoln Road during Miami Art Week.

The collaboration served as a creative preview of the resort’s newly redesigned spaces ahead of its grand reopening in December 2025. Darbon, a longtime artistic partner of The Ritz-Carlton known for bridging street art and luxury, utilized TUMI’s 19 Degree collection as his canvas. Using spray paint, Krink paint, and hydro-dip techniques, he transformed twelve curated pieces into collectible works of art that reflected the modern spirit of travel. During the New York City activation, Darbon personally hand-painted monogrammed tags for guests, while the space incorporated coastal aromas and signature flavors from the resort’s culinary program.
"Partnering with TUMI allowed us to extend the story of our transformation beyond the resort walls," said Derek Flint, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami. Victor Sanz, TUMI’s Global Creative Director, added that the collaboration brought to life a "shared appreciation for art, design, and meaningful experiences."

The completed collection has since returned to the resort to be displayed as part of the reopening celebrations. The pieces are scheduled to be auctioned, with proceeds benefiting The Sutton Trust through the Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints Fund, supporting the brand's commitment to global community impact.
