Overview
The Miami Beach EDITION is a restored mid-century hotel situated on 3.5 acres overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and just a 5 minute drive to Lincoln Road in South Beach. Upon entering, you are greeted by a glamorous and tropical-inspired luxurious lobby with original gold mosaic columns, white vases with tropical plants, sleek white marble floors, comfortable lounge chairs and sofas, and a superbly designed gold bar. Elements of the original 1955 Seville Hotel are well preserved and can be observed throughout the property including the illuminated Seville sign, sundial, clock tower, the diving board and even a chandelier.
The hotel has 294 rooms and 28 private one- or two-level bungalows, all with a clean, modern and minimalist design. Oak wood furnishings and white porcelain floors give each room a sense of calm and relaxation. Order the Heart of Palm Heirloom tomato salad with coconut and avocado as an appetiser or the wild Gulf Shrimp with sautéed garlic and chilli oil. For the main course, the roasted grouper with fingerling potatoes and Bok Choy is a delicious choice. The grilled Beef Tenderloin with Red Chilli Butter, spinach and toasted Sesame Seeds is also an excellent choice. There are also a variety of pizzas, pastas and vegetable sides. The Matador Bar, adjacent to the Matador Room, is the ideal place to enjoy a cocktail before or after dinner. The café-style dining room, called Market at EDITION, offers a culinary mix of gourmet cuisine, pastries, cold cuts, raw bar and wines. It is open daily for breakfast and lunch. On special occasions, the glamour of the 1950s is brought back to life at Lobby Bar with its signature cocktails.
