The Marker Key West Hosts Second Annual Salute to Service Race Weekend on Memorial Day

The Marker Key West Harbor Resort will host its second annual Salute to Service Race Weekend over Memorial Day in honor of military members, veterans, first responders, teachers and health care workers.

The weekend program centers on the Salute to Service 5K Run and 5K Walk on Sunday, May 24 at the Key West Historic Seaport. Events begin with a Color Presentation and the National Anthem, followed by the race start at 8:30 a.m., and conclude with post-race snacks and an awards ceremony at the resort. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the Key West Firefighters’ Hardship Fund.
Festivities open with a happy hour pool party and packet pickup on Saturday, May 23 from 4 to 6 p.m., with an additional packet pickup on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. The Marker, located near Duval Street and Mallory Square, will also offer a Salute to Service package for active military members, veterans, first responders and teachers that includes up to 25% off nightly room rates, complimentary breakfast for all guests on the reservation and one 5K race registration, along with discounts at Kilwins and Fury Water Adventures.
