Initially introduced in tandem with the summer holidays, Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce the global relaunching of the Louis Vuitton Monogram Sport Collection. Ranging from classic wallets, passport covers, pocket organizers, and card holders, imagine the Louis Vuitton Monogram as a tone-on-tone field, articulated to represent different athletic arenas.
The line was first launched with designs featuring a cerulean swimming pool, a clay tennis court, a golfing green, and pine-dotted snowy ski slopes, all still available in-store and online. New additions to these landscapes include a deep blue outdoor basketball court and a pink sunset-lit skate park.
Within this series, athletics and leisure are illustrated from a bird’s-eye view, with participating individuals in miniature. Familiar initialisms and flower motifs appear expansive in these tiny worlds, envisioned as if a patterned shadow, cast from above.
The Louis Vuitton Monogram Sport collection is set to further expand, illustrating other games in this now-beloved style—a grassy field set up with goal nets, an icy rink for skating, a patch of sky floated with gliders, a course of all-terrain vehicles, a track for running, a sea of sailors, or a beach for volleying—with nearly endless possibilities.
